"T-Taurus?"

His face brightened and tears fell from his eyes. "You're okay! Oh, my god..." Virgo smiled at me. "Thank god, Pisces, you really gave Taurus and I a scare there, you did..." Before Virgo could finish, Taurus had brought his lips down on mine. I smiled before realising Virgo was still sitting there. Hastily breaking the kiss, I turned to look at her, as did Taurus. It was no secret-she liked him. She just sat there, a sad smile on her face. "I'm so happy for you," she said, holding back tears. "I-I need to go do the dishes..." She stood and left, leaving us by ourselves. Taurus sighed. "I feel bad about Virgo..."

I nodded. "Me too. But don't worry; she'll find the one some day. And she'll have us to help her, won't she?" Taurus nodded, lacing his fingers with mine. "Listen, I've been thinking..." Taurus began, gulping. "After I nearly lost you, I might have done some research on that immortality spell..." I sighed. "Taurus, it goes against nature's will-" Taurus silenced me. "But not against my Gramps'. While I was trying to rescue you, I saw both of you in that dimension. You weren't exactly together, but you weren't apart either. Look, he kept on saying he wanted us both to be happy. And my happiness is with you.

"So please, let me do this." I bit my lip, knowing my head was pointing in one direction and my heart in the other. On the one hand, immortality spells were not in the favour of nature, and as a subject of nature itself, I should not allow Taurus to perform the spell. On the other hand, if Taurus did perform the spell, we could be together forever, No limits. No old age, no death. Just us until the end of time and then some. But I already knew that the decision had been made-Taurus had set his sights on the immortality spell and so I could do nothing but support him.

"Fine, but only because I know you'll do it even if I say no." Taurus grinned. "I found your journal with the translation in it. Did you say the incantation in Latin?" he asked. "Yes. It works either way." Taurus nodded, setting the journal down in front of him. "Can you help me?"

"Of course."

He opened up the spell, looking at it. "Okay. Clear your mind, Taurus. No thoughts can get in the way, or they, too, will be immortally lodged in the same place in your brain. I need to enter your subconscious once again... make sure it's all empty..." Taking Taurus' hand, I closed my eyes, entering his subconscious.

"What're you doing, Taurus?"

"I'm cleaning. This place is a mess."

"Are you cleaning or simply relocating?"

"I..."

"How about you just remove it all?"

"I can't, I'll lose my mind!"

"Okay, just keep the important stuff."

"There. It's all gone. Apart from this."

"Why don't you throw that into the garage?"

"Alright..."

I opened my eyes, smiling. "You're ready." Taurus grinned, looking down at the Grimoire. "Okay." I took Taurus' hands, taking a deep breath as he prepared to speak the incantation. "Spirituum naturam immortalitatis dona mihi....spirituum naturam immortalitatis dona mihi...spirituum naturam immortalitatis dona mihi..." I opened my eyes, seeing that his eyes had turned to a luminous yellow, his pupils no longer visible. "Spirituum naturam immortalitatis dona mihi! spirituum naturam immortalitatis dona mihi! spirituum naturam immortalitatis dona mihi!" His eyes closed abruptly, the light moving down through his throat and into his heart, an angelic aura surrounding him. Despite the beauty surrounding him, Taurus winced, clutching his head. "Spirituum naturam immortalitatis dona mihi! SPIRITUUM NATURAM IMMORTALITATIS DONA MIHI! SPIRITUUM NATURAM IMMORTALITATIS DONA MIHI!"

His nose began to bleed. "SPIRITUUM NATURAM IMMORTALITATIS DONA MIHI! SPIRITUUM NATURAM IMMORTALITATIS DONA MIHI! SPIRITUUM NATURAM IMMORTALITATIS DONA MIHI!" I watched as the the ball of light burst, spreading throughout his body. His nosebleed stopped abruptly. "It's done." He smiled before falling unconscious. Virgo rushed into the room, tears caked to her face. "What happened?" she asked. "You... might want to sit down for this."

.....

"So he's immortal now?" Virgo asked, frowning. "Yes." Virgo nodded. "I'm... I'm sorry. It's just that, I was really into him, and to find out he's been in love with you all this time..." I sighed. "Let me tell you a story. In the '70s, I met a man called Oliver Gertrude. I was falling for him, and he didn't even know it. I was there when he met a woman called Amanda. He confided in me his feelings for her, and while I played his wingman very well, I could not help but wish I was in Amanda's place. I felt that Oliver was my soulmate, but, well, he wasn't. I met Taurus and knew I'd found the one, and in that moment, I learnt something."

I took Virgo's hand, smiling gently. "Those who believe in love can rest knowing it shall never fail them." Virgo sniffled, nodding. "The world is a big place, Virgo. There's someone else out there for you; I can just feel it!" Virgo smiled. "And, of course, I will play your wingman, as will Taurus when he wakes up." Virgo laughed. "I guess... I guess love hurts sometimes, is all." She sighed. "Sometimes it feels like no matter how much you give, they never give back." I pulled Virgo into my embrace. "Trust me, I know." Taurus began to stir. "W-What do you know?" he asked, sounding rather drowsy.

"I know that you should get some rest." I patted Taurus' head. "Stay there-I'll get you something to drink..." Virgo hurried out, leaving me alone with Taurus. "You were listening that whole time, weren't you?" I asked, smiling. "Yeah..." Taurus sat up, taking my hand. "That was really sweet of you to say to Virgo. And super inspiring speech, by the way." I laughed. "I meant what I said. All these years, and I've finally found the one."

I looked straight into his eyes, seeing my own reflection in those soulful hazel eyes.

"I found you."

"Here we are..." Aquarius opened a coffin, allowing me to ease Ophiuchus' limp form into it. Libra looked down at her sister, seeming pitiful. I turned toward her, taking her hand in mine. "Libra, you love her, don't you?" Libra sighed, a single teardrop falling from her eye. "I hate her, but I love her. It's just, she's family." Libra stroked her sister's hair gently. "And, in the end, family is all we have." I nodded. "We just have to love them and hope that it'll keep them sane." Libra planted a kiss on her sister's cheek. "I want to let her go, but..."

"You're scared she'll run away?"

"I just don't want hybrids all over the place."

"I get it. Look, she's dangerous. We all know it. Maybe one day you'll be able to let her go, but today isn't that day." Libra nodded, sighing. "Goodbye Ophi," she whispered as Aquarius closed the coffin, shedding silent tears himself. "Now that we've done that, we need to go to the funeral." Aquarius' voice broke. "Aries' funeral." I had not known Aries, but I did know that she was a caring friend to the very last breath. She deserved to be honored. "And we should pay our respects to Capricorn... he, too, was somebody's son..." We all began to walk out of the mansion basement.

Libra turned toward me. "So, Gemini, I'm curious: how have you managed to stay out of my brother's radar for so long?" I chuckled. "One does learn a few... tricks after having lived such a long life." Libra laughed. "Come on, we don't want to be late..."

.....

"Hey, Sagittarius." The blonde did not respond. She simply looked at Aries' coffin, tears streaming down her face. "Just let me say goodbye... please..." Libra frowned. "Sagittarius... what's going on?" She shook her head. "Please, just leave me alone!" She gripped Aries' coffin, her knuckles white. "Please..." Aquarius turned toward Libra, his expression grim. "The Hunter left his mark." Libra nodded. "Gemini, come with me." I nodded. "Sagittarius, look at me," Libra whispered. Sagittarius turned toward her, still sobbing. "You will come with me." Sagittarius began to follow.

"Wha-where are we going?" I asked. "She's having hallucinations. She needs to be locked up so they go away. So she doesn't kill herself." I nodded, still not quite understanding. "You remember when Sagittarius killed that hunter-Capricorn? Well, when that happens, the hunter's spirit remains and haunts their murderer until they kill themselves or until that spirit slowly fades away until a new Hunter kills their first vampire." Libra grimaced. "Luckily, I know who the new Hunter is-it's that Cancer girl. We get her to kill a vampire and Sagittarius is free."

I blinked, trying to comprehend everything Libra had just said. "Until then, we just have to hope Sagittarius doesn't find a way to kill herself. Unfortunately, compulsion won't stop her-the spirit can break through mind control. So here's what we do-we lock her up in a safe house." Libra parked the car in front of the Atel-Badeaux mansion where we had just laid Ophiuchus to rest.

(The Atel-Badeaux mansion-I do not own the image)

Behind us, Sagittarius was mumbling to herself, looking extremely agitated. "Come on, Sagittarius. Let's get you inside."

.....

"For a safe house, this place is really nice," I commented, looking around at the room in which Sagittarius was to stay. "I don't know... it's a bit old-fashioned for my taste," Libra commented rather snidely. I laughed, looking around at the room. It was a rather regal-looking affair, dappled in gold. The archway before the bed reminded of the room I was currently staying in.

(Safe Room-I do not own the image)

"Alright, Sagittarius, I'm bolting you in-I can't have you breaking out, now can I?" With that, we left a muttering Sagittarius in the room. Once we left, Libra pressed a large red button next to it and iron bars went down in front of the door. "There we go!" Libra smiled. "Hey, come with me. I wanted to talk." Libra nodded. "Your room?" I nodded, taking her hand.

Arriving in my room, I looked around, realising it really was a replica of the safe room, just in a different colour.

(Gemini's room-not owned by me)

"So, Gemini, what did you want to talk about?" I asked. "Listen, Libra, once this is all over, I want to travel the world. With you." She blinked. "What?"

"Look, Libra, if I haven't made it clear, I see myself with you for a long, long time, if not eternity. And, well, I want to get to know you-and the world-a bit better. Without the drama surrounding us. So, what do you say?" Libra smiled, throwing her arms around me. "I'd love to!" And with that, she placed her lips on mine.

We'd been through so much in just the the past month. It was enough for anyone to fall in love, fall apart, or fall dead. But, in spite of it all, here we stood, still kids at heart, ready to jump headfirst into what might be a new adventure. All it took was a few words and an airline ticket to send us off into the world, nothing holding us back.

After all, wasn't the point of immortality to have eternal fun?

Wrapping my arms around Libra's waist, I smiled to myself, feeling my young, free self returning after being shackled for the better part of 500 years. Blissfully ignorant though I now was, I couldn't deny that the 'bliss' but felt pretty good.

"You're a murderer."

"You deserve to die."

"What would your mother say if she still knew you existed?"

"Maybe you'd die at the hands of your absentee father, much deserved..."

"You're a murderer and you deserve to die."

"You're a murderer and you deserve to die."

"You're a murderer and you deserve to die."

"GET.... OUT! GET OUT!"

Capricorn smirked. "Okay, I'll leave, but you have no idea who I'll bring here instead..."

He flickered in front of me, reduced to a mirage, a mirage that was breaking me, one that would not rest.... when Aries appeared, wearing leather leggings and a black top. Her heels made no noise as she walked toward me. "You're not real..." I whimpered, turning away. "Oh, shut up. I am real. At least I am to you." Aries' expression changed violently, a look of pure pity on her face.

"Remember when you were poor, sweet Sagittarius? The chubby brunette who I used to babysit? What happened to her?"

"She..."

"... became a murderer."

"No, you don't get it-"

"Yes, I do. You're a murderer, and you deserve to die."

"NO!"

"You're a murderer and you deserve to die."

"Please, Aries, remember, I tried to save you, I knocked the flask out of your hands-"

"I would've been here if I was a hybrid."

"You despise vampires, Aries!"

"But at least I would've survived."

"That's not how it was!"

"Just admit it: I died because of you."

"The reaL Aries would never say say that!"

"I am the real Aries."

"You're not!"

"Either way..."

"NO! PLEASE, NO!"

"You're a murderer and you deserve to die."

"NO!"

She flickered, and Capricorn returned. "Just give up, vampire. It's over." I grbbed my head, screaming. "No-I won't let you-" He laughed mirthlessly. "Oh, how long will it take for me to overpower you? Perhaps another voice would help... One I do not think you were expecting..." In front of me appeared Leo, suited up. "What are you doing? I asked.

"I want to know what you are, Sagittarius."

"Please, you're not real-"

"I got it! You're a murderer, aren't you?"

"LEO-"

"I cannot be seen with you, I have a reputation, I'm too important to stoop to someone who has come this low-"

"YOU'RE NOT REAL!"

"You're a murderer and you deserve to die."

"STOP IT!"

"You're a murderer and you deserve to die."

"I'M NOT, PLEASE!"

He flickered, and Capricorn returned. "Are you ready to die, my dear?" I grunted, trying to get him out of my head. "NO!" He smirked. "Okay. Then I might just have to break you." He seized my head, closing his eyes. "GET-OUT-OF-MY-HEAD!" He stumbled, but never lost his grip. "YOU-CAN'T-CONTROL-ME!" He simply grinned... and then the other 50 of him in the room grinned too.

"You're a murderer and you deserve to die."

"You're a murderer and you deserve to die."

"You're a murderer and you deserve to die."

"You're a murderer and you deserve to die."

"You're a murderer and you deserve to die."

"You're a murderer and you deserve to die."

"STOP! JUST... JUST STOP!" They flickered, and they all took the shape of Aquarius, cold and discerning as ever.

"You're a murderer and you deserve to die."

"You're a murderer and you deserve to die."

"You're a murderer and you deserve to die."

"YOU'RE NOT REALLY HERE!" Aries.

"You're a murderer and you deserve to die."

"You're a murderer and you deserve to die."

"You're a murderer and you deserve to die."

I'M SEEING THINGS!" Leo.

"You're a murderer and you deserve to die."

"You're a murderer and you deserve to die."

"You're a murderer and you deserve to die."

"YOU CAN'T KILL ME! ONLY I HAVE THAT POWER!" And then they all came together, a heard of them, stampeding across the room, hundreds-thousands-millions-the room was getting bigger-I was sinking-couldn't feel my face-my soul weakening-switch gone-mortality in an immortal body-

"You're a murderer and you deserve to die."

"You're a murderer and you deserve to die."

"You're a murderer and you deserve to die."

"You're a murderer and you deserve to die."

"You're a murderer and you deserve to die."

"You're a murderer and you deserve to die."

"You're a murderer and you deserve to die."

"You're a murderer and you deserve to die."

"You're a murderer and you deserve to die."

"YOU AREN'T REAL! YOU CAN'T KILL ME! YOU'RE MIRAGES! YOU'RE NOT HERE! YOU'RE DEAD! I'M IMAGINING YOU! I BANISH YOU! LEAVE MY THOUGHTS! LEAVE MY BRAIN! I-BRAIN-YOU-NOW-30-NOW-IN-SECONDS-GO-BACK-COME-AGAIN-NEVER-REAL-HUNTER-CAPRICORN-"

"You're a murderer and you deserve to die."

"You're a murderer and you deserve to die."

"You're a murderer and you deserve to die."

"NOTHING-ARE-YOU-REALLY-HERE-NOT-DIE-DEAD-YOU-ARIES-"

"You're a murderer and you deserve to die."

"You're a murderer and you deserve to die."

"You're a murderer and you deserve to die."

"You're a murderer and you deserve to die."

"You're a murderer and you deserve to die."

"You're a murderer and you deserve to die."

"DISAPPEAR! STOP-BRAIN-WITH-PLAYING-MY-"

"You're a murderer and you deserve to die."

"You're a murderer and you deserve to die."

"You're a murderer and you deserve to die."

"You're a murderer and you deserve to die."

"WHY-WHAT-PLEASE-NO, I CAN'T-WHAT IS WRONG-ME-WITH-"

"You're a murderer and you deserve to die."

"You're a murderer and you deserve to die."

"You're a murderer and you deserve to die."

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"

Reaching into my own chest, I wrapped my fingers around my heart, my hands closing around it.

"You're a murderer and you deserve to die."

"You're a murderer and you deserve to die."

"You're a murderer and you deserve to die."

"You're a murderer and you deserve to die."

"You're a murderer and you deserve to die."

I began to wrench it out, the life slowly leaving me. I thought of Aries, hoping that wherever I went, she'd be there, that she'd still love me...

I felt for Capricorn, he was so young and had a whole unstained life ahead of him, and now he was dead, and I'd done it.
