《Smoke (Bakugou Katsuki x Reader)》Christmas Special: Chapter 19

(IY/n) POV
"So you're telling me that we have to wear these tonight? But why?" I asked, holding up the concerningly short Christmas dress. It was red in a velvety fabric, white cottony, puffy stuff bordering the hem and long sleeves. A black belt, along with black pantyhose and thigh high boots were sat in a box next to the outfit. I looked at Mina with a raised eyebrow, demanding answers.
"Well, technically you're the only one wearing this specific outfit." She emphasized the 'this' as she pointed at the clothing. "The other girls will be wearing different styles that suit them the best." She plopped herself on my bed, chewing on her pink bubblegum.
"And how do you know this is what suits me?" I asked, curious to know her answer.
"Just cuz I do! Anyway, go try it on! I wanna see!" She demanded, pushing me into the bathroom before I had any time to object.
As I slipped on the shoes, it dawned on me.
"Mina?!" I called from the bathroom
"Yeah?" She was a bit muffled from the door sitting in between us.
"How do you know my clothing size and my shoe size?"
Silence
"Uhmm... I may or may have not..sneaked in once or twice to check?" I could tell she was nervously grinning just from hearing her.
I just chuckled at the girl's effort.
Once I was done changing, I looked in the mirror. I tried adjusting it as much as I could but there was no saving myself from the inevitably skimpy dress I had to wear. The top was cut into an intense v-neck, showing off my breasts and cleavage. The belt was tight, sinching in my waist. The bottom half of the dress was far too short, stopping at my inner upper thigh.
"(Y/n)! Come on! Let me see!" Mina, pounded on the door.
"I'm going, I'm going!" I barked.
I felt myself blush as I opened the door, feeling extremely vulnerable and exposed. I shifted uncomfortably, my gaze anywhere but her face, especially her sunflower eyes.
"Oh mY GOD! She squealed, her voice getting louder and higher in pitch with every word.
"You look so~ fucking hot. Baku- I mean, no one will be able to get their eyes off of you!" She began jumping up and down in the same spot like a child getting candy for the first time.
Was she about to say Bakugou? It's not like he's going..
"B-but I- I don't want them to look at me all the time." I stumbled on my words, nervous just thinking about my classmate's looks and reactions.
"Don't be silly! You look great! Just make sure to keep an eye out for, Mineta. Ugh, you never know what that boy will do." Her and I both scrunched our noses up in disgust at the thought of the ball-haired boy.
"A-alright, fine. I'll wear it." I whispered under my breath.
"Wonderful! I'll see you tonight at the party!" She squeaked, already half way out of my window.
"Can't you take the door like a normal person?" I chuckled at her quirkiness.
"Nah! I'm an alien queen! I don't do 'normal'". She bounced off of my roof and ran down the street, giving me an exaggerated wave.
After chuckling and waving back, I shut my window with a sigh.
The Christmas party Mina, Momo, Uraraka, and Tsu- along with the help of a few others- had organized, was tonight. It was more like a get-together than a Christmas party, considering that the only ones invited were class-1A. Not to mention that Bakugou and Iida weren't coming. But I let them have their fun.

It was around 7:30 and the party started at 9:30. I'd decided to start preparing since I took my damn time doing things.
I took a shower (along with other hygiene things) and lightly curled my (h/l) (h/c) hair. I put on a small amount of makeup, trying to make it look as natural as possible. I then slipped on the outfit. As much as I hated to admit it; I looked pretty good. It was around 9:00- half an hour before party the started. I knew they'd appreciate a helping hand so I decided to get there a bit earlier. I hopped on the surprisingly empty train and waited for my stop, which was not too far from where I lived. Momo had offered her house since she had the most space. It was only about a 5 minute train ride, which I could've easily walked but in this cold weather and time, It would have been a recipe for disaster. I had learned that much already.
I got off at my stop and was surprised to see such a large residence.
"Shit. I knew she was rich but I would've never guessed she was THIS loaded." I mumbled to myself as I made my way to the extravagant ebony doors.
I clicked on the little button that I assumed to be the bell.
Not long after, a voice coming from an intercom I hadn't noticed spoke.
"Come in, (y/n)! We're almost done setting up." I heard Momo's voice
I opened the doors shyly, doing my best to shut them as gently as possible. I was immediately embraced in a warm hug from Uraraka.
"Thank you so much for coming!" She said, her pink cheeks somehow getting pinker.
I took in her appearance. Her outfit was like mine but without the v-neck. And instead of having thigh high boots, they were cute uggs.
"Of course! I wouldn't miss it for the world!"
"You look amazing, (l/n)!"
She complemented me.
I blushed, remembering how exposing my outfit was.
"Thank you! You do too."
She smiled at me warmly.
"Thanks! Now, follow me."
We walked together around the extravagant manner.
"Uraraka, did you know Momo had such a big house?" I asked, curious if everyone else was just as awestruck as me.
"No, I didn't. It's pretty amazing, huh?"
"Yeah, it is."
"Well, here we are!"
We entered a big ballroom. There was more than enough space for the entire class to roam around. It was beautifully decorated with both colorful and ivory lights. Many Christmas trees also ornamented the room. There were chairs and couches, accompanied by tables. Something caught my attention though. Dangling from the ceiling where 6 or 7 mistletoe. My eyebrows immediately shot up. Mina seemed to follow my gaze because she put her hand on my shoulder and grinned from ear to ear.
"It's just to spice the party up a bit. No one has to do anything if they don't want to." I simply smiled at her.
"It's fine."

It was now 9:45pm. The only person that had arrived besides Mina, Momo, Tsu, Uraraka, and I was Hagakure. She wore a cute two piece dress. The top was short sleeved and the skirt was exactly like mine. She also wore cute black uggs.
Momo wore a tighter dress. She had on some black pumps. The top part of her dress was cut into a heart shape which really suited her figure. Tsu had a two piece but with long sleeves. Instead of being a skirt though, it was pants. Mina also wore a dress. Hers was strapless with no v-neck. It was just a straight cut. It was safe to say they all looked amazing.

Soon enough, people where starting to arrive. Jirou, Kaminari, and Tokoyami were all sitting on a couch talking among each other.
By 11:00pm mostly everyone had arrived.
The only one missing was Aoyama, who said he wanted to be extremely fashionably late, with the exception of Iida who had excused himself to see his brother and Bakugou who had declined the invitation.
"Well this is a great turnout, don't you think? Mina's eyes lit up as she watched everyone get along.
"Yeah..it is." I said, trying to fake the biggest smile possible. I cursed myself for sounding a bit solemn though.
Truth is, I was having a good time. In fact, I was having an amazing time. But sometimes I felt my mood drop. If I was being completely honest, I felt like something was missing- someone.
"Mina!" Hagakure called for her from the other side of the room. "Com'ere for a sec!"
Mina gave me a worried glance before running over to the invisible girl.
"H-hey, (y/n)?" I heard a shy male voice come from behind me.
I turned to see a blonde boy.
But not the one I was hoping for.
"Oh, hey Kaminari! What's up?" I grinned at him.
A light pink blush dusted his pale cheeks. He began scratching the back of his neck nervously.
"I-I just wanted to say you look really ho- I mean pretty. You look really pretty." He said it a second time, more to himself than to me.
I blushed at the complement.
"O-oh. Thank you."
Our conversation was cut off by a loud 'DING'. It had become a familiar sound since it was the doorbell.
"Must be Aoyama then. Took him long enough." I mumbled to myself. I took the opportunity to get away from the odd situation.
"I'll be back in a minute. I'm gonna go get the door, kay?" I smiled at Kaminari.
"Y-yeah, okay." He mumbled back.
I walked toward the door, expecting to see the 'fashionable' french boy.
But instead, when I opened the door, my eyes met with crimson ones.
"Bakugou? W-what are you doing here?" I asked, somehow feeling my mood increase.
He took in my appearance, scarlet orbs sweeping up and down my body.
A faint rosy color rose to his cheeks and just like that, disappeared.
He avoided eye contact.
"A guy can fucking change his mind." He barked.
I simply smiled.
"Come in!"
Bakugou and I walked into the ballroom. People started turning their heads briefly to see who had arrived.
"Yooo! Bakugou! Thought you would never get here!" Kirishima hooked his arm around the ash blonde boy.
"Get your filthy hands off of me, hair for brains!" He yelled, getting a chuckle from a few people.
"Really though, glad you made it." Kirishima smiled warmly.
"Yeah, whatever." He mumbled under his breath.
"Hey party people!" Mina yelled, standing up on yet another table.
"It's time to group up! We're gonna play truth or dare!"
Everyone started shuffling to the couches where Mina and a few others were hanging around.
I started walking bur noticed Bakugou wasn't budging.
I knew if I asked, he'd just shrug me off and decline so I took it into my own hands.
I got brave and grabbed his hand, catching him off guard completely, which resulted in a pretty cute facial expression.
"What the fuck are you doing?" He growled.
"We're playing truth or dare! That includes you!" I pressed my finger against his chest, poking him.
Before he could retort, I dragged him to the couches, sat him down, and plopped myself beside him.
"Okay, okay! I go first!" Mina declared.
"Uraraka!" She pointed at the brown haired girl. -" Truth or dare!"
Uraraka pondered for a moment, tapping her chin.
"Truth."
Mina grinned.
"Would you~ kiss Midoriya under the mistletoe?"
Oh shit
She immediately got beat red.
"I-uh-uhm-er-I-I'm uh~" She stuttered.
Midoriya also seemed to get just as red, fiddling with his fingers.
Uraraka inhaled.
"I mean..I guess."
All the girls 'ooh'd' while all the guys elbowed Midoriya.
The game kept on going and I just listened, feeling a bit bored. I could tell Bakugou also felt the same.
Suddenly, I heard my name get called.
"(L/n)" i looked over at, Mineta. Who was sitting across from me. "Truth or Dare?"
Fuck, why him.
I cursed myself for ever agreeing to play the game, knowing what kind of questions the perverted boy was bound to ask.
"Dare."
I just couldn't stop myself. I wanted to get rid of my bored state. Truths just weren't good enough.
"Out of all the guys here." He gestured towards all the boys sitting around.
"Choose one and go suc- OW!" I stared at him, mouth agape. I watched as Tsu slapped him with her tongue.
"He means,-" The frog girl corrected. "Choose a guy and kiss him, (L/n)."
Less lude but still wasn't any better.
Quite a few of the guys perked up at the dare.
"Um..I-" I blushed, staring down at my boots.
"Don't know.."
"Don't be silly, Tsu! We all know who she wants to kiss." Mina laughed, snorting once or twice.
I felt curious.
"Who, then? I propped my chin up with my hand.
"Oh, (Y/n), you and I both know who I'm talking about."
An Image of Bakugou flashed in my mind for some odd reason, I shrugged it off though.
"I'm not kissing anyone" I simply stated.
I heard a few of the guys huff at my response.
"Fine then," Mina grumbled. "I'll go. Bakugou, truth or dare?"
"I'm not playing this stupid game." He grumbled
"C'mon! Please?"
"No"
"Please?
"No"
"Please?"
"ALRIGHT FINE, WILL YOU SHUT THE FUCK UP?"
"After this? Sure! Truth or Dare!" She put her hand on her cheek in delight.
"Dare." He said, a scowl plastered on his face.
"I dare you to kiss (y/n)!"
Everyone remained silent, even me. I had no idea how to react at the dare. I didn't wanna seem like I wanted it, but I didn't want to close any doors either.
Wait, what the hell am I thinking?
I was about to object but he spoke before.
"Abso-fucking-lutely not."
He barked.
"Well...at least I tried!" Mina giggled, shrugging in Kirishima's direction.
They all chatted for what seemed like a long time. I yawned, feeling a bit tired.
My hopes and prays of going home were finally heard when Mina spoke up.
"Guys, time flew by really fast! It's already 1:00 am!" Mina stared at her phone in awe.
"Holy shit! I better get home." Kirishima spoke, standing up.
Everyone started sitting up and grabbing their things, including me.
I felt a tap on my shoulder and saw Uraraka's brown eyes staring back at me.
"Hey so, the girls decided we were gonna stay over here since it's kinda late and you know how it gets, you wanna join?" She smiled at me, her pleading eyes almost making me agree.
"Oh, it's okay. I just wanna get home and sleep. Maybe next time, yeah?" I felt bad for ditching them but I honestly felt completely drained. Her hands turned into little fists.
"Alright then!" She smiled, determined. "Next time!"
As I grabbed the last of my things, I felt another tap on my shoulder. I found myself staring at a pair of yellow orbs this time.
"Oh, hey Kaminarii."
"Hey."
We stared at each other for a few moments.
"Well, I'm gonna g-"
"I can walk you home if you want!" He said, a little too loud. This caught the attention of, not all, but a few people.
I began to sweat lightly, not knowing how to reject him or his offer.
I knew it was just a nice gesture but at the same time, I knew that he would make it out to be more than it actually was.
"Uhm, I-" i was cut off by a familiar voice. A voice I had grown to like more than I expected.
"I'm already walking her home, we live next to each other. No need for you to go out of your way." Bakugou glared at him. Something was odd about him. It was almost protective?
"Oh, Bakugou. Yeah okay, cool..." He stood there, looking a bit defeated.
"C'mon." He began walking without me.
I just stared at Kaminari before walking after Bakugou.
I had the slight feeling that I was forgetting something. But I shrugged it off, not wanting Bakugou to go too far without me.
Not long after, we were already walking through the dark streets. I inched a bit closer to him. He was just radiating heat because of his quirk. At this moment, I took in his appearance. His hair was the same, poofy yet spiky ay the same time. He wore a red jacket over a black turtleneck sweater that fit him in all the right places. He wore dark blue jeans paired with some black sneakers. Safe to say, he looked good. I shivered as my own dress was not getting any less warm or revealing. He apparently took notice of this because he threw his jacket on me.
"Wear it."
"Huh?"
"You're fucking cold right?" He barked.
"Yeah, thanks." I slipped on the extremely oversized jacket, immediately feeling relief. Even so, I remained close to the blonde, feeling safer.
When we finally reached my home, I searched for my keys. My eyes widened. That's what I forgot. My keys. They were still at Momo's place.
"Shit." I mumbled.
"What." He grumbled
"My keys, I left them."
I chewed on my lower lip nervously, hoping he wouldn't yell at this untimely hour.
He ran his hand through his hair, sighing loudly.
"Where." He stated demandingly.
"Momo's house." I squeaked.
"For fucks sake, are you always this fucking ditsy? He questioned, tightening his jaw.
"Not always.." i trailed on, looking at anything but him.
"You're lucky my parents are out of town or you wouldn't hear the end of it."
He began walking to his house.
"Huh?"
"Are you always this fucking stupid too? Come on."
I followed after him like a lost puppy. We soon entered his place. It had the same basic structure as mine, only a few things placed differently.
He made his way toward the kitchen.
"You hungry?" He opened the fridge.
"Yeah, a bit." I admitted.
He began cooking up some rice. I just sat there, watching him. He was just so mesmerizing. There was something about him that made me want to get closer.
My daze was soon interrupted when he put a bowl in front of me, then sat on the other side of the table, eating quietly.
I didn't wanna bother him by talking. I already owed him enough for letting me stay here. Once he was done, I grabbed both our empty bowls and began washing them.
For some reason, he didn't object.
I heard a chair slide back. I imagined he would go to his room or something, but I was proven wrong.
"What? Cat got your tongue?" I heard his deep voice behind me. I could smell the familiar caramel scent he always radiated.
He was so close to me, both his arms enclosed me as they laid flat on the counter.
I turned around, hoping he'd back away a bit, but he didn't. He simply looked down at me. I felt heat rush to my cheeks
I didn't know if my eyes were tricking me or not, but I could swear I saw a blush dust his cheeks and ears too.
"Do you...still want that kiss or not."
I stared at him, wide eyed. He avoided all eye contact
Did he just say what I think he said?
"Well? He growled, a bit more agitated and impatient than before.
His eyes met mine and I felt everything disappear around me. Before I knew it, I was nodding my head up and down slightly.
A gesture that usually means:
'Yes'
My eyes fluttered closed as I felt him lean in. Soon, my world melted as his lips connected with mine. They were soft. So fucking soft. Instinctively, my arms knotted around his neck, trying to get him as close as possible. The kiss was soft, gentle, delicate, shy almost. His mouth moved against mine in a way that drove me crazy. Even though it was kind and sweet, it was also passionate. It felt as though two puzzle pieces were finally put together. Much to my dismay, our lips parted. I panted lightly, trying to regain air. He seemed like he was doing the same.
"L-let's go. It's late." He blushed.
"Did you just stutter?" I said, teasingly.
"Shut the fuck up or I'll fucking kill you." He scowled.
"Alrighty then!" I smiled in triumph, knowing I had successfully teased him.
He closed the door behind me as we entered his room.

Summoner's Journey
[Before you read - the story is officially dead. The reasons behind it are posted in the last chapter.] In a magic world on the verge of an industrial revolution, Ari Ragnarsson must uncover the truth behind his parents' disappearance. They were part of an organization known as the Order, which protects mankind from various threats - both human and supernatural. Now, after Ari's brands finally manifest, he leaves the safety of his village and travels to the continent. Strength is all that matters in this world and he must learn how to control his powers. There, he meets a man from another world, who's being hunted for merely existing. Their fates become intertwined, but not in a way either of them would appreciate. Author's note (contains minor non-story related spoilers about the MC and setting) This is a progression fantasy with LITRPG elements sprinkled on top. The main character is not a spellsword, but a summoner/support mage hybrid. Since he wasn't ambushed by a random god, there's no cheat item/spell and he has to rely on his skills and wits to survive in a world full of monsters. The story tries to show the moment when the old starts to be replaced by the new, with a healthy dose of magic and a little steampunk in the background. Also, it revolves around a party dynamic akin to RPG sessions. No health/mana bars. Numbers are secondary and the LITRPG elements focus more on classes/spells/runes and their evolutions. Tables are sparse at the beginning, but from chapter 7 onwards they appear more often. Still, I won't be copy-pasting the whole character sheet dozens of times per chapter.

Gods of Arkanoth
The hunter has been betrayed, left alone in the streets of a lugubrious district. Only one goal appears in his eyes: to avenge himself. In his quest to avenge himself, he'll encounter an enigmatic scientist who seems to hide his true nature, a savior pretending to be a God, and the terrible truth of those words, bringing him against something he'd never thought he'd have to affront. This is the odyssey of the hunter, in a quest to put a long overdue end to a war between two worlds. // What to expect:The beginning will surely be intriguing, most of what's happeing won't be directly explained, although there will be some hints about their true roles, but do not worry about some subjects never leaving that misty fog that is unanswered questions! The novel is divided in two parts, the first focusing on uncovering the well-hidden secrets the city of Arkanoth hides, be it concerning its making or its inhabitants. As for the second part, it will be an expedition into the unknown, we could, in a way, say the true start of the journey our three heroes will undertake! I won't say anything more about the second part or else I might tell you an important detail without realizing... As for magic, because yes, there is magic! Although you might not see the shadow of a spell in the first chapters, it will appear in later chapters and will be one of the main subjects of volume 2. There are three heroes, yes, but they will not appear directly. While the first two protagonists appear in quite the beginning, the third will take his time, taking some stroll in the Districts of Arkanoth while we focus on the story of the hunter. But that does not lessen his importance in the story a bit, trust me. What about these three heroes, you say? Well, they all have their own issues, from their character to their torments, and as the story progresses they will have to come clean with their past (character development is to be expected) and will find their reason for fighting, braving all odds. I draw my inspiration from mythology, more precisely Aztec mythology. I want to stay true to a certain extent about it and all the relations between the gods and their role, however I will still change some things to my liking, so do not expect for all of the mythology to be respected to the letter. Finally! I have to say English is a foreign langage for me, so I might not choose the best words or straight-up miswrite something, if it bothers your experience, just tell me in the comments and I'll look into it! It is also my first time writing a book, so some parts might seem sloppy, but I hope I will be able to improve throughout this journey so as to give the most enjoyable reading experience to you. // Who might enjoy this story: Firstly, if you like deep lore and stories in which past plays a big role, you will like how everything unravels to show the hidden truths of the world. However if you do not appreciate not instantly understanding what's happening or who - or even what - this person might be, then you might not appreciate the story. There will be disturbing and gore descriptions, so if you're sensitive, don't like reading about someone being beheaded and such, you should probably pass this one. There is strong langage, although I won't abuse it, I won't be lying saying no insults will appear. Finally, the heroes will not always win, they will sometime lose battles, be it important ones or unimportant, and they will, most of the time, not come out unscathed from those. // Time Schedule : once every two sundays at 7:pm Ps : feel free to tell me if something is bad, or feel wrong with the book, it really helps me. I've written till' chapter 4 (in my mother tongue, so I'll still have to translate), however I'll make some minor and major changes, thus it will take some time to post them. Schedule will probably not change after releasing chapter 4, so don't worry, it won't take even longer to post a chapter than it already is. Enjoy the ride :)
