"It's nice to meet all of you." Sweat was dripping down your face as you talked. Your husband could've obviously tell that you were nervous, but mentally encouraged you to go on. "My name is Y/N Tempest.. And I'll be here if you need me." You spoke with a smile.
Rimuru grinned at your attempt to welcome the children. It seems that you got more nervous when it comes to meeting new people than you were before. He hoped that you'll be just as comfortable with kids as you are with him.
"Okay. Let's eat!"

"You know, you're way too strong." Kenya growled as he took a bit of his meat bun.
"He's right, you know," Chloe Aubert, the blonde child, swallowed her piece of the bun, "At Least hold back against a lady." You couldn't help but giggled at the children's complaints. They were totally right. Rimuru was too strong.
"I wonder. Is Ms. Y/N just as strong as the teacher?" Ryota Sekiguchi, the black head boy, caress is chin in thought.
"Huh? Why are you suddenly wondering that for?" Gale Gibson, the tall brunette, questioned.
"How about we keep that question for another time?" You mentally thank Rimuru for changing the subject. You didn't want to waste the whole lunch break with them talking about you.
"Okay then." Ryota bit into his meat bun. "Who do think is the strongest then? The teacher or the hero?"
You perked up at the kid's sudden question.
The hero?
"Well obviously it's the hero."
"The teacher would win." Alice Rondo, the black head girl, disagreed with Chloe.
"No way! The hero would never lose to a guy like him!" Rimuru couldn't help but sweat drop at Chloe's belief.

"Seems like you're weak in their eyes," You chuckled quietly. Rimuru only face-palm at your words.
"Don't encourage her, Y/N." He muttered back.
"So, uh.. Who's the hero? What's their name?" You dismissed the blue head as you went on to question the kids.
"Masayuki," Chloe answered.
"Masayuki?" You stared at your husband as he went into complete thought, eyes furrowing in concentration.
"You don't know who the hero is, teacher?" Kenya asked.
"He's super strong!" Gale praised.
"He has blond hair and he's super cool." Alice added on.
"Hm.. I want to meet this so call strong hero." You bit the last piece of your bun. "What about you?" You turned toward your husband, only to see he was, once again, deep in thought. "Eh.."
Suddenly, the sound of a loud roar interrupted the group from their talking session. Theirs eyes darted to the sky as the noticed a large dragon in their line of view.
"It's attacking the citizens." You commented as you noticed the beam forming from the animal's mouth as it then threw it down toward the people.
"Teacher.. Are those people going to die?" Chloe fearfully asked as she clinged onto Rimuru.
Rimuru stood silent for a moment, before giving his commands.
"Y/N, Ranga, take care of the kids for me." Ranga nodded as you remained silent. "And don't worry. No one will die." He placed the mask, that you totally forgot he had, on top of Chloe's head. "I won't let them."

Sweet Minds
"No one can see it, some can feel it, and only the few can use it. We belong to the few." Marith Merryfield felt anything but merry that morning. She found herself waiting for a delayed train on a deserted platform, in the freezing cold of the Dutch autumn. Just when the strangeness is making her consider turning around and going back home an empty train rolls into the station. For reasons unclear to this day she decides to get onboard. An unlikely, and quite impossible, train accident is about to hurtle her into a world she had always suspected existed. It was a dark and absurd place she had rejected and suppressed when she was young. Now she would need that dormant part of herself to survive. After a brief hospitalization she must choose between two continents and finds herself reluctantly boarding a plane to Oregon to be reunited with her shadows. She returns to the town she grew up in, which is where her father still lives and her childhood memories linger. By the end of the week the mysterious train accident turns out to be the least of her problems. Her life was never supposed to become this serious this fast. Through an improbable and unfortunate series of events she is soon introduced to a motley crew of characters that appear to be carrying the same struggles through life. They possess a familiar sense of inadequacy and insecurity. Marith realizes that for the first time in her life she has found herself a tribe, or, as they prefer to call it, a Chain. She is introduced to a world of Prophets, Runners and Mages led by an Oracle and a Watchmaker. Over the course of several weeks Marith learns that, together with her Chain, she is expected to save this fabric of reality, by fighting a mysterious and immortal creature and his aggressive pet. In order to have a chance at overcoming this force of nature she has to revisit the darkest and most desolate corners of her mind. ***** The total word count of the first 12 chapters amounts to about 85.000 words. The total word count of the first 30 chapters will amount to about 225.000 words. My chapters range, roughly, from 5.000 to 10.000 words. I post with irregular intervals, on random days and at different times. I hope you will enjoy the story! English is not my first language and I am very much open to constructive criticism.
