"So what was the meet up about?" You slowly placed a shirt in your bag as you stared at your husband, awaiting his answer.
"Just something about Millim going berserk and fighting Carrion." Rimuru, too, was getting ready for you guy's trip back to the castle.
You furrowed your eyebrows at the words that came out your husband's mouth. "Fighting? Why would she fight him if they're basically on the same team?"
Rimuru shrugged. "It seems as if it wasn't really her." The blue head released a sigh. "We can worry about that later. We should hurry get going and get to saving this kids."
"Right," You smiled. I wanna hurry get that over with. I just hope nothing bad happens afterwards."
-----------
Both you and Ranga were walking down the street, leaving the bakery shop with a small smile. You told Rimuru beforehand that maybe surprising the kids with a meal would make it easier for them instead of going across town for one. With a small nod, Rimuru agreed to the idea and allowed yourself and Ranga to get the well-filled lunch.
You were smiling happily at a the idea of being able to finally meet the kids, as you were too busy last time to do so. That's when an interrupting thought came to mind.
"Oh my gosh, Ranga!" The wolf paused at your sudden outburst.
"What is it, my lady?" He quickly answered with a panic look in his eyes.
"This is gonna be the first time meeting the kids!" Ranga released a soft sigh as he realized it wasn't something so serious.
"Yes, my lady. It's going to be your first time meeting them."
"Do you think they'll hate me? Oh gosh, I hope I'll leave a perfect impression on them. Kids are hard to please these days you know." Ranga could only furiously nod at your statement.

"Yes, my lady. You are absolutely right."
"Should we get going then? I don't want to ruin their first impression on me by leaving them starving."
"Right, my lady." He tilted his head to the side, motioning you to come closer to him. "Climb on me and we'll reach him faster."
"Hahaha. Right, wolfie. Always thinking ahead. Let's go!"
---------
Rimuru smiled softly as he watched the kids trained in the distance. The sky was clear and the grass was a perfect shade of green. It was nice to see that they were putting the effort into their training. Nothing can possibly interrupt his happiness right?
With a the sound of a familiar scream, Rimuru cocked his head to the side at the direction where the noise was coming from.
"Rimuuurrruuuu!" His eyes widen as he took noticed of his wife and Ranga, noticing the speed the wolf was making towards him as he got closer and closer.
"W-wait! Slow dowww-"
Ranga crashed into his master with a halt, forcing the blue to be thrown away from his spot just a few feet away. You quickly got off of the animal and went to check on your lover.
"Oops. Sorry, Rimuru." You caressed his forehead, sweat dripping from yours.
"Next time, maybe watch where you're going?" He sat up from his spot on the grassy field and turned his attention towards the kids, completely ignoring the interaction that just happened. "Hey! Time for lunch!"
Deciding to forget what happened too, you released a smile at the sight of the kids happily making their way to your lover.
"Ughh. Finally!" A short, orange head kid groaned.
"I'm starving." The tallest of the kid commented as he sat down on the grassy field. You uncomfortably watched as the kids got comfortable near Rimuru.
"Yep. Y/N here got some meat buns for you all." Rimuru grabbed the bag that was in your grip.
"Y/N?" All the kids turned their attention on you and you gave them a small wave in return.
"Yep. She's my wife, so be respectful okay?"

A New Life
Davin Benjamin was posed a question that no one ever hopes to face. To be able to live a life with full mobility, or to be able to see his family, at least for a significant portion of time. Follow his journey, and watch him overcome struggles that many would stumble at. I took the picture used as the cover, though it was edited with Befunky, not that I paid for anything.
