"Y/NNN!"
"Yes, my love?"
"I told you to learn at least something from the meeting I hosted yesterday. Where were you?" Your blue head husband scowled.
"Hahaha," You scratched your cheeks, a nervous chuckle appearing through your lips. "I was just, you know..."
"What?"
"I.. Uh.." You turned your body away from him. "Things happened."
"Seriously, Y/N?" Rimuru facepalmed. "You said you would learn something from the meeting."
"Did I, though?" You faced him again.
You didn't want to openly admit to Rimuru that his meeting was boring. You didn't want to hurt his pride.
As you said before, you weren't good at that.
You guessed which was why Rimuru forced it upon yourself to at least learn something.
"Look, I'm so sorry!" You gave Rimuru your best puppy eyes. "I won't do it again."
"Fine." Rimuru sighed. "I believe you." Your husband patted you on the head. "Next time, I won't be so nice. Got it?"
"Of course, my lovely king of the elf society!" You threw on the biggest smile that you can muster up. Rimuru couldn't help, but blush at your cute face.
"Let's get going. There's a lot of thing we have to discuss."

"That guy from earlier was a subordinate for Carrion?"
"Yeah. It seems so. Do you remember who Carrion is?"
"Hmm," You placed your index finger against your cheek.
You thought of any possible memories of this Carrion that your husband mentioned, yet no clue seemed to be found. "I told you I quit the demon lord thing a long time ago. I was probably a child when I became one, I don't remember much."
"That young? What were parents even thinking?"

You stayed silent at that question, which Rimuru obviously took notice of. He decided to disregard the question for now, and continued on with their previous conversation.
"I'm not sure, but I feel like something bad is about to happen." You muttered suddenly; quietly.
"You think so, huh?"
"Whenever I have a feeling about something, I always seem to be right." You sighed. "I can't say if it's strong and powerful, or if it's something that'll hurt us mentally, but we all need to be prepared."
»
"Wow. Y/N's so serious all of a sudden. Despite the way she looks and acts, she can always be someone you can depend on."
»
"So what do you suspect we do?"
"Obviously we prepare for what might happen. We'll have get our strongest men to train. I don't know what your people do when it comes to fighting or power and such, but I'm sure my people can at least handle something whether it's dangerous or not."
"Right. I'll let them know. I have to get the goblin riders to train some more as well."
"Even if we aren't strong enough, you still have me. And I guess Millim as well." You said the last part to yourself quietly.
"I prefer we save your powers for something more dangerous. You said that bracket of yours hold 95% of your power, right?" He took ahold of your arm, "Then perhaps there'll be a day where you actually use it for something good."
"Whatever you say." You sighed. "Getting the bad feeling I have out of the way, I really need to learn your people's name."
"Yeah.. About that."
Rimuru knew Y/N would have a hard to remembering them. Especially when all their names sound almost the same.

City of Captives
In the Qursan Empire, the grey walls of the City press down on its subjects. It is a highly divided society which is based on the magical strength of its citizens. While the most powerful are trained as Mages, the majority of citizens use their limited skills with Essence to power the City in their assigned jobs. Jano is pretty much the lowest of the low in the Qursan Empire. A Class Ten citizen forced into transitory work after having his power restricted. When he gets the opportunity to change all of that, he takes it with both hands. This is a slow burning progression fantasy. Please expect at least two chapters per week. I love writing this story but I do have unfortunate things to deal with like work and life outside of writing. I may be able to write and edit more than that, but it will never be less! This is largely still a draft. I hope to use any comments and reviews in the future. Thanks for reading!
