"Lord, Rimuru! There seems to be an intruder! "
The young, blue head turned his head to the goblin with his eyebrows furrowed in confusion.
"Intruder?" He shifted into his slime form. "Then let's get moving." He hopped away to where he assumed the intruder was at.
"Right!" Rigurd commented as he followed after his master.
Shion, Benimaru, Souei and the others were already at the scene of the crime.
Rimuru finally made his way to his destination, looking toward you as you were struggling to even stand up.
"Please," You stated softly, but with Rimuru's good hearing, he understood what you said.
"Are you ok?" The slime moved closer to you in concern, only to be stopped by his subordinate.
"Lord Rimuru. Maybe you should stay back. Who knows what she might do?" Benimaru stood himself in front of the slime, hopefully preventing him from moving any further.
"Don't worry, I'll hold you." Shion, with a small smile, quickly picked up Rimuru and held him closely to her.
"What do you want?" Souei questioned your weak self. You looked at Souei in the eyes before dropping down to the ground due to your weak legs.
"Help me."

Dark. It was dark... No. Your eyes were just close.
"Ah. Seems like you're finally awake." You fluttered your eyes open as you finally woke up from your fake nap.
Rimuru was currently alone with you after persuading everyone, more like Shion, that he could handle you in any case of scenario.
I mean, he was the strongest out of everyone in his village.
You shifted in the bed slightly, eyes strolling around the room, allowing you to sit up frantically.
"W-Where am I?" You looked beside you, eyes casting onto light blue slime that was just sitting on the chair next to you.

"Hello. I'm glad to see that you're doing well." The slime spoke, allowing you to slow down your breathing so slightly. "We saw you on our doorstep, and you looked rather unwell, so we brought you in here to rest." You shook your head at his statement.
"Well, then. Since I'm awake, I should get going." You began to sit yourself up from the comfortable bed, only to be pushed back down by the slime, who was now sitting onto your chest comfortably.
"No! You can't go yet. You need something to eat first. You did look quite weak when you came." You stared at the slime for a few seconds, before nodding your head at it's judgment.

'This seems to be going rather well. Glad I came across this village than any other ones.'

"So, if you don't mind me asking, why were you roaming around here? I sense no power from you, so it'll be easy for others to take advantage of you." Rimuru's worried nature took over as he stared at you. "No offense." He quickly added, now removing himself from the top of you and onto his previous spot.
You glanced at the bracelet that was on your wrist, before laughing quietly. "Well, to tell you the truth, a storm came over my village and destroyed parts of my kingdom. All of our crops and food disappeared with the wind." You started. "We still had more food left, but.. It wasn't enough to feed the whole kingdom." Rimuru hummed at your respond.
"I see, I see. So I'm assuming you were looking for food for your village?"
"Yep."
"Well, then," Rimuru started, transforming from his slime form to his human one, leaving your agape in shock. "How about you stay here for dinner, and tomorrow, I'll send you with a few things?"

Disregarding the scene that just happened, you declined his offer. "No."
"Huh?"
"No." You repeated again. "You'll want something in return, and our kingdom isn't capable of doing so."
"I mean, you are right, but it's not what you think I want."
"Then what?"
"I just want you to work under me."
"I'm not someone's property." You quickly declined.
"Uh.. Well," Rimuru sweat drop. "How about you come to visit next time? You seem like a really good person that truly cares about other people." He softly smiled. "So.. How about it?"
"If this is some type of scheme to persuade me to join you, then we might as well break off this deal." You quickly said. "But whatever. I guess it wouldn't hurt coming back here again."
"Hehehe." He chuckled. "Then it's a deal."

8 144Cinder Roots (Undergoing a Rewrite)
This novel is currently undergoing a major rewrite, as I noticed several plot points that needed to be revamped. I'll leave the chapters I've posted here to anyone curious to see how everything started, but I'll be posting the rewritten story as a new novel in the future. The characters will be the same, but the journey will be more understandable and hopefully, a lot more fun to read. -------- First, everything was fire, it killed, it consumed, and it gave him life. He was just a tree, born in the biggest forest that remained in the world, full of dryads, naiads, elves and treants, but he was alone. He couldn’t see. He couldn’t talk. Curiosity plagued him. He dreamed of wandering the land, but could only wonder what stood outside the reach of his roots. The tree was tired of waiting. He decided to not just dream, but to act. How could he survive against a invading empire, a grand conspiracy that threatened to shake the foundations of the world, and the raw danger that lies within these woods? With pure determination. Warning - There are quite a few POV changes in the first chapters, but that'll change after the introduction is done, as I'll be focusing on the MC perspective only.

8 62Title Pending Adventures of Jackson and Barbara in another world!
Jackson Ripper is transported with his class to another world. As one would expect, they are asked to fight in a pending war, much to Jackson's distain. But, a month after arriving he is separated from the rest of his classmates and loses an arm and a leg. Worse yet, the person who mutilated him clings to his side. Now, he begins travelling with this walking natural disaster in a strange new world. Author notes: This is a story I started writing roughly two years ago (roughly 2017) on a whim and started using it to improve my writing skills. As such, it's mostly wish fulfillment based loosely on anime, light/web novels and comics. But wait, why post my strange, gruesome dream world on the internet? Because, I have a goal of one day writing something worth publishing. But to reach that goal, I need criticism, suggestion and advice. Plus it feels like a waste to keep this beauty all to myself. I currently plan to release one chapter a week, on Saturday afternoon or evening.
