There's always that exact moment when you know you've fallen for someone. That one moment you really realize how fast your heart is able to beat for another person. A special moment, one you either wanted to come or never wanted to exist.
That moment just happened for Mark.
Two days had it been since Haechan fainted.
Mark had lifted the younger's body with him out on the balcony a few moments ago, laid him gently on the outdoor couch, and was now seated on a chair next to the couch.
He hadn't left Haechan's side a single time since the latter went unconscious. If he needed to go somewhere, he would carry Haechan with him. If he needed to use the bathroom, he would FaceTime his MacBook from his phone and place the computer with a view over Haechan only to bring the phone with him into the bathroom so he could watch the younger through the device.
He had gone absolutely mad, and now he finally realized it.
"I'm crazy, aren't I?"
No.
He's just in love.
"In love..."
Mark looked at Haechan.
"Did I really manage to fall in love?"
He did.
"I did, didn't I? Now I'm even talking to myself," he chuckled. "You make me feel like I'm insane, Haechan. When you wake up, I'll tell you just how insane. I'll tell you just how much you mean to me, I promise."
Mark took one of Haechan's hands into his and kissed it gently. He placed it down onto his lap and pulled out his phone from his back pocket, about to call Jeno and ask for a glass of water. A wave of cold air hit the balcony and stopped his action, chills traveling through his body, leaving a trail of goosebumps behind.

He shivered and retreated his phone back into his pocket whereas he quickly stood up and got a hold on Haechan's body. With a quick pull, he pulled the younger up in his arms, heading into the house again and towards their room.
He wondered what the other's were doing right now, and he wasn't going to lie, he really wanted to spend time with them. He had wanted to join them at the beach that day, and he wanted to talk and laugh with them for hours. He had, after all, missed them so much.
But still, he has chosen to spend that precious time with a boy whom he's only known for a little over a week. A boy who's currently dead unconscious.
And honestly, Mark was not way too bothered by that.
Hence another evidence of just how quickly someone can fall for a person, or whatever Haechan is.
Speaking of that. Mark doesn't really care anymore. He had stopped pondering about what Haechan is since some time ago. He knows they have a connection, and that's all the matters to him.
He loves Haechan.
He loves the younger even in the deepest corner of his heart.
And nothing will change that for now.
By the time Mark entered their room, he felt something tuck his shirt. Such a little and gentle pull by his torso.
"Mark? A faint voice sounded from where Mark's heart lies. A voice he only now realized how much he had missed.
And with big eyes and an excited smile, he looked down at the person he held in his arms, only to lock his eyes with the brown eyes of Haechan.
"You woke up," Mark spoke softly, his eyes tearing up in happiness.
"How long has it been?"
"Two days."

Haechan blinked a couple of times. "I'm hungry."
Mark smiled so warmly. Oh, how he just wanted to kiss those pouting lips of Haechan. He wanted to rub his nose against the latter's and tickle the death out of him so he could hear the younger's beautiful laugh. But he kept himself in place.
"Jaemin and Jisung wanted to make dinner today. You'll get some food soon," was all he said before continuing to carry Haechan further into the bedroom, laying him on the bed.
The younger's heart was beating like crazy. It tended to do that all the time when Mark was around, but back then he had no idea why.
Now, after remembering so much, he knows why.
He knows he's an angel and that he's in love with a human, and he understands why he has memories of Mark's life now.
"I'm your guardian angel..." he mumbled for himself.
Mark looked up. "What?"
Haechan smiled sadly and shook his head. "Nothing."
The older shrugged it off and jumped onto the bed with excitement. "So," he said and crossed his legs, sitting opposite of Haechan. "Do you know anything new?" he asked slow and cautious, not knowing if Haechan was ready to talk. The younger had after all just woken up after being unconscious for two days.
Haechan grinned and reached for Mark's hand. "I have a friend named Jeongin. He's really cute and we share a room together. And there's an older guy named Johnny who's always taken good care of me," he told Mark, and Mark listened carefully.
After two weeks it finally happened.
Mark's promise was completed. Haechan gained back his memories.
"Do you remember your parents?" Mark asked when Haechan had stopped talking. The question caused the brunette to freeze for a little, his expression showing that he thought deeply.
"There's nothing like parents where I'm from," he then answered. "I'm not from here, Mark," Haechan whispered. "I'm not from this world that you're so familiar with."
Mark felt his heart beat faster. The hand of his that Haechan had grabbed was getting sweaty and the feeling of fear was slowly traveling through his system. "What are you?" he breathed. "Who are you?"
Haechan opened his mouth. "Are you sure you want to know?"
Mark nodded. "I don't care what you are, Haechan. I will not start treating you any different by knowing what you are, but if I know, I'll be able to help and understand you better," he spoke. "So yes, I want to know if that means I can be able to help you more."
"Okay," the brunette chuckled and took a deep breath. "I'm an ang-"
But his words never fully left his mouth as the door to Mark's room was flung open and Jaemin entered, tears streaming down his cheeks.
"Renjun's gone! W-We can't find him anywhere!"
