Cheep!?
Charles Monroe survived the disappearance of his parents, did his best to hold things together for himself and his sister. He survived when she, too, vanished, leaving behind nothing but a cryptic note. He was devastated, but he kept moving forward as best he could. Cancer didn’t put him down, and after suffering through several rounds of chemotherapy, Charles Monroe thought that things might finally be looking up. That is, until a virulent strain of ebola swept through the city. With his immune system strained as it is, the odds don’t look good for Charles. With no other option but the dark oblivion of death, Charles chooses to make a deal with the spirit of a distant world that's seeking a wild card in its battle against the gods, monsters, and mortals that threaten its existence. Someday, he’ll find where his family went. Someday, he’ll uphold his end of the bargain and hunt beings powerful beyond anything he’s ever known. Will release on a minimum weekly schedule. -After a backlog of chapters, posting will slow, but in the interim you can expect a chapter a day up until roughly 25 chapters. -This story at times will potentially carry some heavy moments, but the tone is intended to be lighter overall. -There are invisible game-like elements in this story, but nothing so concrete as a dedicated gamelit novel. -I personally have some issues with anxiety, so I may or may not interact with the community a lot. I'll try if anyone has questions, but I can't guarantee that it'll be consistent. -MC is a non-human lead, and will never actually become human. Romance will potentially happen between side-characters, but not with the MC. -MC IS NOT THE ONLY VIEW POINT. I have to put that out there because people sometimes hate alternate PoV's in a story. None of them will be filler, and they'll be there only to give a little bit more nuance and meaning to the world that the MC has stepped in, or is about to be imminently important. The Dreamer wanders the Kingdom. In a world of giants, gnolls, trolls, and magic, his only goal is to slay Royalty. Grimdark Ash is a fantasy world that my writing takes place. In this world, there are many different creatures and systems that are common to fantasy themes. For example, there are adventurers, magic, and guilds. However, what differentiates this world from the plethora of other fantasy settings is the everlasting dark theme. (Hint: Grimdark) In Grimdark Ash, basic survival is incredibly difficult, often due to corruption, aggression, or the basic dangers presented through the land.

Takes place after ep8: Rey and Kylo discover a new, mysterious connection between them. Physical tears in reality lead Rey to find that the Force is 'suffering', with a strange link to what Luke had done decades ago. Meanwhile, the Resistance is plagued by traitors. For the greater good, the movement has resorted to harsh methods to find them. Finn questions the Resistance, and uncovers that something is amiss. Things are not what they seem. The three are not prepared to enter a tragedy greater than they could ever have imagined... [some parts stylistically inspired by Persona, Voltron and Avatar, but it is still very much Star Wars-esque]

Avine, the name recorded in the oldest records of faith concerning the creation of the world. The lands of Avine are in turmoil. A lengthy war recently ended. Casualties were terrible, but not limited to the dead alone. Breakdowns occurred in society, and kingdoms struggled with civil unrest and a never-ending stream of refugees. Mariel Bluegale has lived a relatively uneventful life. Largely sheltered from prejudice by her parents Serin and Arwaro, she grew up in a kingdom that prospered thanks to its strictly neutral policy. But the winds of war are once more on the horizon. Peace is merely the prelude to a new, even bigger conflict, one which may be decided on the identity of one. Release schedule: One chapter a week for the forseeable future. Reality caught up with me, this means I have to scale back my writing time considerably. I promise to finish it, but it will be in pieces, and likely around holidays.
