《Tranquility: A collection of original poems》29| I Want to be Free

Claws are digging into my chest,

Pain embedded in every single breath.

I want to soar, be free among the clouds,

However those around me, bury me in a shroud.

I reach and grope for the feeble beam of light

However it always flickers when I'm in sight.

Darkness and nightmares swallow me whole

There's no one down here, not even a single soul.

Please, I implore,

Help me through this grief.

I don't know how long this pain I can ignore,

Please, stop shaking your head in disbelief.
