I know you're not real but I can't stop imagining you,
I know it's fake but I can't help feeling so blue.
I see you standing there for me,
Watching my every step,
I'm caught up in the web,
Full of lies.
My body feels like I'm flying,
So I'll try to stop, one step at a time.
Flutter my eyes open when I wake,
Put my hands in my pockets and I walk.
Not scanning the room, searching for eyes,
No more getting more high,
For you.
So I'll stop caring about my scars,
I'll even try to stop smoking cigars.
But my eyes sometimes play tricks,
They make me think that you're there, and my mind slips.
I know that you're not but my heart tells me to stop,
For me.
So stop wasting my time, I know you're fake,
I want someone in my life, who can give and take.
I can't keep doing everything for someone,
Who isn't actually anyone.
I can't keep looking your way when,
There's people who are actually real,
Looking my way, asking why I never feel.
For anyone but an illusion.
My body feels like I'm flying,
So I'll try to stop, one step at a time.
Flutter my eyes open when I wake,
Put my hands in my pockets and I walk.
Not scanning the room, searching for eyes,
No more getting more high,
For me.
My body feels like I'm flying,
So I'll try to stop, one step at a time.
Flutter my eyes open when I wake,
Put my hands in my pockets and I walk.
Not scanning the room, searching for eyes,
No more getting more high,
For you, for me.

Cardinal of Sin
They say sin comes at a horrible price. Or...perhaps I'm misremembering the saying. Regardless, I'm usually inclined to agree with the aforementioned statement. When one is held hostage by their own carnal instincts; never being able to fully control their primitive impulses...Well, let's just say, it would destroy a lesser man. That, I know. I died because of my lack of self-control, after all. I must admit, though. I didn't expect to change this belief of mine after meeting my end, but here I am. Breathing. In a world I don't belong; a world of magic. Here I am, whisked into another reality with the power to sin. To conquer.
