I tried snapping rubber bands against my wrists,

The band goes zap-zap-zap.

I tried putting ice cubes on my limbs,

The ice goes melt-melt-melt.

I tried chewing on hot chilli peppers,

My teeth go munch-munch-munch.

I tried going outside and talking walks,

My lungs go up-down-up.

I tried to blast music through my earphones,

The drums go bam-bam-bam.

But nothing functional takes the feeling away.
