《"Hate And Shame" -Poems of a mentally ill person-》dare devil

They say I'm a dare devil,

Saying all I do is rebel.

When really, I'm just fighting equality,

And acceptance from my family.

All I want is to be treated like everyone else,

But they always win, cause hate sells.

Speaking lies,

Telling them to illuminate us like flies,

And celebrating once one of us dies.

Saying we're monsters, ignoring our cries.

I wish we were treated normally,

Not like we are some sort of abnormality.

But they never talk about us formally,

Only when they want to make them scared of us,

And when they try to hurt us with a cuss.

Cause actions speak louder than words,

But that's not true for flirts,

Or when they say they have done nothing bad,

That they don't know why we're so sad,

These innocent faces drive me mad.

Because they cover the facts,

How they oppress us everyday,

Saying we don't have a say.

Not wanting us to stay and spread,

And saying we're weird in the head.

"The only thing you're good at is head and being dead."

That is what they said.
