《The Youngest Pevensie (a narnia fanfiction)》The Ruins

Everything was silent. In the distance I heard the washing of water and the singing of seagulls. I guessed that I was imagining it, I had always wanted to go to the beach.
Peter whispered in my ear "It's okay Soph, look around you."
I lifted my head from his shoulder to see the most beautiful thing I had ever seen. The sun was shining on a beach. A real life beach in front of my eyes! In the distance there was turquoise water that glistened in the sun. As Peter put me down I sunk slightly into the sand.
Lucy giggled and everyone started stripping themselves of their shoes, socks, blazers and hats. I did the same and raced after Lucy and Susan into the water. I ran straight in and it felt amazing. It was so warm and comforting but refreshing at the same time. I had never learnt how to swim so I stayed close to Susan but we didn't go too far out. Peter and Edmund followed us in and splashed us. We all got into a massive water fight. Everything was pure bliss.
I tripped and fell into the water completely drenching myself. All my siblings stopped and stared at me cautiously until I erupted into a fit of giggles. Peter picked me up and started spinning me around so I felt like I was flying. The water flew off my skirt and sprayed onto everyone else. Edmunds shocked face was enough to send me into another fit of giggles.
Suddenly I remembered something, I had no idea where we were. I asked everyone if they knew and they looked amused with my question.
"Where do you think?" Lucy replied with a cheeky grin that I returned.
"Well, I don't remember any ruins in Narnia." Edmund added.
"Ruins?" Susan questioned.
Edmund just continued staring at the cliff. We all followed his gaze up to a mound of rock on the cliff facing the beach. They were a cream color and there were many different rocks in different shapes. They almost resembled a castle.
We all looked at each other at the same time and started racing each other out of the water and on to the hill. As we were running, I started falling behind because I was so small. Edmund saw this and ran back to put me on his shoulders.

We ended up beating everyone else to the top, me and Edmund cheered as Peter scowled. He could be competitive sometimes.
Everyone started exploring in different directions. Peter went up some steps, Lucy stared out at the water and I was walking across a strip of rock whilst Susan held my hand to stop me from falling.
Lily suddenly spoke up "I wonder who lived here" she said but it didn't sound like she expected an answer.
"I think we did" Susan replied as she knelt down to pick up a chess piece. It was solid gold and glowed like a diamond in the sun.
I jumped down from the rock as everyone came round to look at the chess piece. "Hey, that's mine, from my chess set." Edmund said whilst snatching it out of Susan's hand.
Peter looked at Edmund confused "Which chess set?"
"Well I didn't exactly have a solid gold chess set in Finchley did I?" Edmund said sarcastically.
"You had a solid gold chess set here?" I said in amazement.
Lucy was gazing around the ruins and muttered under her breath "It can't be."
She then sprinted off.
"Lu!" I shouted as we all ran after her.
"Don't you see?" Lucy said looking around at the others. I didn't see so I sat against a tree and played with the grass.
"See what, Lu?" Peter asked her.
Lucy sighed and pulled Peter and Edmund after her. She positioned them carefully on a circular platform about a meter away from each other. "Imagine walls" she told them as she did the same with Susan. "and columns there" she said as she pointed to where the ruins of small towers stood in rows. Finally, Lucy stood near the edge of the platform but still in line with the others "and a glass roof" she finishes.
Everyone looked at each other in amazement so I jumped up and stood next to Lucy to see what they were looking at. Everything looked exactly the same as it did from the tree.
Peter looked at Lucy "Cair Paravel" he said as he smiled.
"Car Parramel?" I questioned.
Lucy giggled and explained it's where they used to live when they ruled Narnia before they came home. I still didn't really understand how they grew up in Narnia but came back as children but I just nodded.

We walked around the ruins for a bit longer until Edmund knelt down by a circular rock and whispered "Catapult"
We all turned around to look at him. "What Eddie?" I asked.
Edmund looked at me and very seriously said "This didn't just happen, Cair Paravel was attacked."
"Who would do this?" Lucy wailed as me and Susan gave her a comforting hug from both sides.
"I don't know" Susan replied under her breath.
The boys walked over to a big stone wall and started sliding it to reveal a secret entrance. When I saw what they were doing I grinned and ran over to the door. Peter had to stop me from falling down the passage I was that excited.
Peter and Edmund laughed at me as Susan and Lucy followed us. Peter picked up a stick and started to wrap a cut off piece of his shirt around it.
"Don't suppose you have any matches do you?" Peter questioned as he looked at Edmunds bag. Everyone else's bags were left at the station.
Edmund opened his bag and rummaged for a bit. Eventually, he brought out a torch. "No, but would this help?" He asked cheekily.
Susan, Lucy and I started giggling as a smile teased Peters lips. "You might've mentioned that earlier!" He said taking the torch out of Edmunds hands.
Peter led the way, with me behind holding Edmunds hand for balance and then finally Susan and Lucy begins us. Once we reached a ledge we all stopped and took in the chamber. There were four statues of proud looking kings and queens. In front of each statue was a chest. They were heavy looking and covered in a thick layer of dust but the chests looked even prouder than the statues.
Susan and Lucy smiled at each other before racing down the stairs with Edmund after them. Peter and I stayed on top of the ledge.
"I can't believe it, it's all still here" Peter told me.
"Still here?" I asked Peter.
"Oh this is all still here from our last trip to Narnia, when we were Kings and Queens. I suppose we still are." Peter said whilst dusting off a shield that had an engraving of a lion on it.
"Can I be princess?" I hopefully asked Peter.
He knelt down so he was my height and said "It's very complicated but I believe your a Queen just like Susan and Lucy. See there's a prophecy-" he started but cut himself off.
He grabbed my hand before I could ask about this prophecy and we walked down the rest of the stairs to where the others were talking about being younger hundreds
of years later or something like that.
I walked over to Lucy's chest and Peter walked over to his own. Lucy's was full of jewels and pretty dresses. They looked just like what the princesses wore in the fairytales mother read to me. I looked up to see Lucy's statue, she looked so pretty and grown up, I hoped I'd look like her when I'm older.
"Something wrong?" Lucy asked Susan.
I looked up to see Susan desperately searching through her chest. "My horn, I must have left it on my saddle the day we went back." she exclaimed and gave up searching.
I decided not to ask, I must've got annoying by now. I was questioning almost every word my siblings were saying. I looked over at Peter to see him take a sword ,so polished it almost shined out, of its case.
"When Alslan bears his teeth, winter meets its death." he said still not taking his eyes off the sword.
"And when he shakes his mane, we shall have Spring again." Lucy continued. Then a sad look fell across her face as she said "Everyone we knew, Mr Tumnus and the beavers. There all gone."
I ran over to her and hugged her legs to try and comfort her, I hated seeing her upset.
Peter put the sword back in its case and announced "I think it's time we figure out what's going on."

Between Mountains and Moons
Under the light of the three suns, the scorching sands of The Great Desert test any who are brave and or foolish enough to cross its vast and treacherous expanse. He knew of the strange in-human inhabitants, the true masters of The Great Desert seeking to expand their dominion and drive humanity to the edges of the world. When he is offered the chance to learn magic from a master, Omid agrees eagerly at the chance to discover such ancient arts, and to even dream of defending against a hostile world and all that would claim to rule it. Death Cultivator (Cultivator in Another World Vol. I & II)
Fight for your Soul. New cultivator Grady Hake thought his problems would disappear when he became a member of the strongest gang on the prison planet, but all it did was thrust him into the kill-or-be-killed world of the Eight-Legged Dragons. Now if he wants to survive, he’ll have to learn to cloak his deadly Spirit attacks in shadow, control the ancient revenant trying to take over his mind, and defeat the Angel of Death who dropped him on Van Diemann in the first place. Death Cultivator is sci-fi / isekai / wuxia / western / whatever, sort of like Borderlands meets Hunter x Hunter. I wanted to write something entertaining and actiony with that shonen vibe, so here's hoping this hits the spot. Warning: This isn't an isekai where the MC immediately becomes OP and starts revenge-killing everyone once he gets Death powers. Death is coming, but it's a slow burn. Like some of the reviewers for Volume I mentioned, the MC has a past and it effects his actions and choices in the new world.
