'Amphibia? Who the hell are you!' Sasha yells at the stranger.
'I am Captain Grime, the commander of Toad Tower' as he spoke he took a step towards us and into the light so we could see him.
'He looks like a mouldy potato' I think to myself. The frog man and Sasha both turn to me and send me death glares. 'I said that out loud, didn't I...' I mumbled in embarrassment.
'No Shi-'
'ENOUGH! Nothing more from you two creatures, you will only speak when answering my questions!'
I glance at Sasha nervously which makes her put a protective arm around me.
'Alright Grime, what do you wanna know' she cautiously asks.

'Take a look at this please Sasha and Skylar' Grime holds up a shoe for us to see 'it was found far from here in the south forest' he continues as he takes a step closer. 'Now we know that you've been lying to us, now we know that there are more of you' he says as he glares at me and Sasha who are lent against the wall at the back of the cell. Grime sneered at us one last time before leaving the room.
That was Anne's shoe! That means that Anne and most likely Marcy are here too.
'Skylar?'
I hope Anne's ok, she did lose her shoe, did she get eaten? Oh please tell me Anne hasn't been eaten.
'Skylar!'
And Marcy, poor oblivious Marcy, I need her to be ok, I need her, if something were to happen to her then I don't know what I'd do!
Sasha yells while shaking me. I then notice that I'm shaking myself. 'Hey, hey look at me, look at me, deep breaths Sky, deep breaths' she soothes while hugging me.

'B-but Anne a-and Marcy' I sob while clinging onto her like my life depended on it.
'I know, I know, just calm down for me... ok?' I just continue to cry into Sasha's shoulder while she rubs circles on my back. 'It may only be by a few minutes but I'm still your big sister and I'm not gonna let anything happen to you'
'But what about Anne and Marcy?' I ask, still sniffling.
'We'll find them and then find a way home, no matter what. I promise' I pull away from the hug and smile at my sister.
'Love you Sash'
'Love you too sis'

'Dinner time! Flys Friday' a large toad announces as he enters the room. Handing Sasha and I a bowl of 'food' each.
'Hey dude, you having a good day?' I ask as I put my meal down with the others that I am yet to touch.
'Actually not really' he grumbles.
'Wanna talk about it' I ask him.
'What are you doing?!' Sasha whisper yells.
'Just trust me' I say to her, I then turn my attention back to the toad 'so what's wrong buddy?'
'The other toads make fun of me and call me names' He sighs as he sits down.
'I was not expecting that...' Sasha whispers.
I wasn't either, I mean this giant warrior toad who looks like he would make a grown man go running to his mummy with a single glance is sitting here mopping about being called names. But one thing's for sure...
I
HATE
BULLIES
'Don't let them get you down dude, if these toads don't appreciate you then you need to find people who do' I encourage.
'But where would I go?' He asks.
'First off, what's your name? And second, what do you like to do dude?' I ask. I take a glance at Sasha who is completely lost of where I'm going with this.

'My name is Pike and I guess I like to play the piano' he shrugs.
Sasha must have finally realised what my original plan was because she joined me in encouraging the toad.
'Then why don't you go do that? Why waste your life guarding some dumb tower when you can go follow your dream of music'
'You know what? You girls are right, I can't wait to see the look on these toads faces when I'm the most famous musician in all of Amphibia'
'Hey Pike, on your way out you wouldn't mind passing me my backpack would you,'
'Backpack? Oh you mean this orange thingy?'
'Yeah that's the one' I smile at the toad as he passes me my backpack. 'Good luck out there Pike' I wave as he leaves.
'Why did you need your bag?' Sasha asks.
I rummage through bad and pull out a chocolate bar. 'Hungry?' I ask with a smile.
'*gasp* real food!' She says as she snatched it off of me.
'Hey we've got to share that, I've only got one of those' I laugh as me and Sasha fight for the chocolate bar.

———————————————————
'Will you two stop making my soldiers leave!' Grime yells at us.
'The fact that it takes such little effort to convince your soldiers to leave isn't a very good look for your 'unstoppable army'' I chuckle at the toad.
'Yeah you make it too easy for us Grimesy' Sasha adds.
'DO NOT call me Grimesy' He yells.
'Sure thing Grimesy' I reply.
Me and Sasha look at each other and can't help but laugh at Grime getting so worked up.
'You creatures may be laughing now but I'll get answers out of you eventually' he sates as he leaves.
'Asides from Grime, these toads are actually pretty cool, I like Percy he's funny'
'Just don't get too attached Sky, finding the others and getting home is top priority, making friends with the talking frogs is way further down the list '
'Yeah I guess' I then walk over to the window and look at the sun setting. I sigh as I look at my picture of me, Sash, Anne and Marcy.
'Come one Sky, let's get some rest' Sasha suggests.
'Ok' I mumble as I lay down on the makeshift bed I had. 'Goodnight Sash'
'Night' she mutters as she drifts off to sleep.
'Night Marcy, night Anne, I hope you two are ok' I look over at Sasha's sleeping figure. 'Cause we are'

Toothpick
“Hello! My humble audience! I, the Bard of the North, am going to tell you a tale. Nothing new, nothing old. A story of a hero, some may say, others a poor boy who was hated by the world.” The storyteller paused as he waited, right timing was everything when telling a story. Pacing… Too slow and the audience became bored then left without tossing even the smallest of coins. If he spoke too fast and rushed the story. It would leave the audience confused and having no reason to be impressed. So like any good storyteller, the Bard has to do a balancing act of sorts. Not too slow, not too fast. Just perfectly in the middle. “In a shattered country in the south, a novice princeling has the ambition to mend a torn tapestry that is his birthplace. Struggling to fend off those who would usurp the throne in an unending civil war spanning centuries. A mercenary that left only death in his wake, unable to stave off the monotony and peace of life. He looks back at the path laden with bodies, wondering if it was all worth it. Wandering souls summoned by a madman, travel away from a wasteland in a foreign land, the first alone, the others as companions. A deity, ancient in her years, waiting to be freed from a duty she no longer enjoys. For all these people and their stories, none are the hero of this tale. No, the hero is not grand, not wise, not ready.. he was punished for nothing of his doing, who was an outcast that was unloved by many, including his father.” This was always the big reveal novices use to jump off into their story. He did not start here, instead, like any good fishermen, he set the bait and waited until the fish bit before pulling. As he saw the audience's eyes focus, he then started the backstory. The harness, that stopped the listeners from having metaphorical whiplash. The foreshadowing. “But that is not where the story starts. No, not even the hero's birth. Where the story begins, is the boredom of the deity, a deity many know of. She who hunts for the impossible, the guide for those who have lost the path, the Huntress of Mallon--” A small pause, a short breath. “--All old names for a single powerful being that has roamed the grounds of this continent longer than any line of kings or queens, lords or ladies. A being of worship for many an individual…” One last breath. And he began singing the first verse.
