《Conditionally Married》12 - Him...

Dammit does she really needed to get faint here???'
She was lying on the floor.. Unconscious
Eddy came forward to take her to car. But I stopped him. Mr. Burke was there and he can get suspicious if someone else carried her.
I have to pick this dirt by myself
I carried her in bridal style and looked to Burke
"Sorry Burke, she had been really stressed out since few days due to wedding and all and she was not feeling well. Are all your documentations complete so that we can leave?" I asked
"Yes Mr. Ashar. You can go. I will bring your marriage certificate after few days at your home by myself. Please take care of her" Mr. Burke said
I nodded and went out carrying her in my arms.
Eddy opened the door of the car and I kept her on back seat while I sat on the front and Eddy on driving seat.
Eddy was smiling and it was irritating me.
"What's the joke?" I asked
"The way you carried her in your arms . It reminds me of my wedding day"
I raised an eye brow
"Please dont remind me that I am married to this ugly girl"
"Come on. She is not that bad" Eddy said.
"Eddy you are not only my manager but also my best friend . So I expect some of your loyalties with me".
It is true. He was more than my manager. His parents died in car accident and then my dad brought him home. He was 6 at that time and from that day till now he is with me.
"You know you got those. Anyways what's next?" He inquired while driving.
"I hope she is not pregnant. I wont take care of any child that are results of her one night stands"
"Dude! She didn't have any boyfriends in past. She was never in any relationship even with the guy she was going to marry today. He was just her friend" he explained.

"Eddy stop taking her side" I screamed
And he raised his hands in defeat.
We reached my home. I asked Eddy to call doctor meanwhile again I carried her and took her upstairs.
She was burning with high fever as I can feel while carrying her. But I dont care if she lives or die.
I hope she die. Less trouble for me.
I went to the room which I had kept for her. Opened the door and put her to bed.
"Samantha .. Samantha" she is head of all staff working at my home.
"Yes sir! " She came real quick
"I want one person here with her all the time. Make sure she doesn't run away or do something stupid. " I gave her instructions and went out
Finally some time without her
It had been like few hours and I am already exhausted from her.
But I loved the fact that she started to burn as she came to hell
Eddy came in with doctor and I guided her to her room. She checked her for few minutes and gave her injection. Then she turned towards me and said "Extreme stress and tension gave her high fever. I had given her injection for quicker recovery. Keep an eye on her temperature and give her these medicines after she woke up. She will be out for couple of more hours so no need to worry" doctor handed me prescription and I thanked her.
It was already evening so I went down towards my office for checking out some emails when Samantha knocks.
"What happen. Does she wake up? I asked seeing her.
" Renee is looking after her and no she is still sleeping. "She updated me.
"Good" That was her cue to go out, but she stood there.
"What happened?" I asked.
"Who is she"
"That is none of your concern Samantha" I said
"Ashar, I have been working here when I was 25 and now I am 55. I saw you growing up from diapers to pants. I had always make sure you're not doing anything wrong. so its my duty to ask who is she"

I took a deep breath.
"Please Samantha dont ask me questions which I dont want to answer. I can't lie to you and I dont want to tell you the truth."
She looked at me with disappointment.
"Its enough for you to know that she is my father's assistant and she'll be living here for some time" I hid all the details.
Its not that I dont trust her. Its just the less people know about it the better it is.
"Heavens. Is she Sia?" My eyes raised towards her as she spoke her name.
"Great. You know her"
"Mr. Albert was so fond of her. She was hired as receptionist and your father was so impressed with her that he promoted her to his assistant"
Why on earth everyone had to be on her side. First Eddy and then she.
Everyone knows her story but nobody know about how I feel.
"You can go Samantha" I kept my cold look to hide my anger.
She left.
I know her she'll found about everything soon.
I locked the door and moved towards my bar where I made some of my favorite rum & coke. I always drink when the pain in my heart gets above my threshold, when I had to forget about everything.
After a few drinks, the alcohol was doing its work and then looked at the picture of my father hanging on wall.
Smiling like nothing had happened
"You must be happy father seeing me here miserable and seeing your b-itch assistant in my home as Mrs. Sia Ashar. But let me tell you one thing. I will make sure she die daily. She will have 730 days of hell"
I shouted and threw the glass on his photo frame.
"She'll feel the pain I use to feel. I will break your favorite girl in millions and millions of pieces. You wont even recognize her when you'll meet her in hell" I stressed on every word I said
I sighed as my anger level drops.
I was talking to him after a long time.
"Why dad. Why you had always put me behind everyone. It wasn't my fault that mother left you,but you punished me like I was responsible. I tried to be a perfect son, but you always found faults in me"
Tears running from my eyes and I let them go
"And when that gold digger entered in your life, you had stopped teaching me. But even at that time I didn't hate you."
Rage of anger started to boil in me.
"I started to hate you when you said that you would love to have daughter like her then a son like me. That time I decided to hate you more than ever. And your will showed how much you cared for her and how much you hate your own son"
I was breathing harder. I started taking deep long breaths. Wiped the tears from my face.
"Just once if you had listened to me the way you're listening now, things would have been better".
I took last drink and went upstairs to my room which was just next to Sia's. The door was slightly opened and I went in to check on her.
She was in sound sleep. The maid was also sleeping on the couch.
I looked at Sia's face. So calm.
I hate her. Yes I do
Looking at her only made my pains worse.
I will make sure she burns as much as I did.
And then I went to my room and drifted into sleep.

The Stormcrow Cycle
Once a powerful and lauded witch, Ba'an salu-Ba'an now lives alone in a cave in the desert, waiting to die. When she rescues an outlander from certain death she becomes embroiled in a deadly game of politics and empire, of heart and soul, but worst of all--of hope and love and a chance at a peaceful future. Can a disgraced witch find a reason to live her life again--and if so, what price must she pay? The Stormcrow Cycle is a trilogy comprising of The Exile, The Lion, and Abomination. Tags or genres for each book: The Exile: romance, slice-of-life The Lion: romance, slice-of-life, politics Abomination: tragedy, high/epic fantasy (aka "Everything is on fire!") Updates once a week whenever I have time. Cross-posted on Wattpad and Scribble Hub. The CBMokedi cover will return! Excerpt: She looked down at him again. Young. Healthy, from what she could see, except for the wound that was killing him. He was handsome in a way that suggested a life of wealth and plenty. She did not think he had ever starved. Someone important. Her shadow fell across him, and he frowned. Blearily, he opened his eyes. They were amber and bright, even as he lay dying in the dirt. She could feel his soul, blazing inside of him like a fire refusing to die even as his body began to fail. He met her gaze, eyes widening in what she guessed was surprise—or shock. But he never looked away, staring up at her as though transfixed. Ba’an made her decision. She raised her hand and covered his eyes. In another moment, a murder of crows cawed as they took wing. The man and woman were gone from the road, leaving only the dead staring up into the sky. Note: This is a high-fantasy set in a low-magic world. The first book is largely character-driven and we really only hit the real plot in Book II, so if you're not fond of long epic yarns you ought to skip this one. I also don't include trigger warnings, but mind the "traumatizing content" tag--all societies minus one practice slavery and the world is indeed, rather grim!
