Hm... it seemed like nothing was coming to my mind at the time. I was trying to get something for a friend of mine who was also a teacher at Kamome Gakuen, a school for both middle schoolers and high schoolers, I went there as a kid and died there as a kid too, but I played my part as an apparition too. Number seven, also known as Amane, was helping me pick out a gift. Why do I care, you ask?
Well, to put it short, I owe him one. I almost got called out for being an apparition, but Tsuchigomori busted his ass to get the kids off my trail. The only other kids who know my secret are Nene Yashiro and Kou Minamoto. They're good kids and do what they're told.
"A book? He smells like them too so it would make sense!" I forgot to tell you that I called Amane, Hanako. He kept bombarding me with ideas, I felt a little dizzy. "Thanks for the help Amane, but I'll just go ask him what he would want" Hanako stopped me "so were you gonna tell him too?" I nodded, I liked Tsuchigomori, so much that I could barely form a coherent sentence around him, but I managed to keep my cool, somehow.
I never really told him because I wimped out, it's understandable, right? I tried looking for signs to see if he actually did like me, but nope, a complete failure. My only hope was to just tell him and see what he says. If I just keep staying in this little shell of mine, then nothing will happen. Our usual days together were just us joking around and complaining, at least that would benefit our friendship.

I walked into the classroom and sure enough, "hey" I waved "you usually don't come in here that often, did something happen?" I leaned against the wall "nope, just wanted to say hi, Yashiro and Kou are probably with Hanako right now" it was silent for a while until Tsuchigomori got up from his seat "I finished grading everything, I'm going to the library, wanna come with me?" I nodded. On our way there, I finally asked him "hey, if you were to have anything in this world, what would it be?" he stopped and started thinking "Hmm... that's a good question..." he placed a hand on my head "I already have everything I already want but in all honesty, I would kill for some bekko candy" I smiled "alright! Bekko candy is what you asked for, so bekko candy is what you shall receive!" I ran away and came back with a small bag of bekko candy. Tsuchigomori chuckled and took the candy "dork..." I smiled.
"Hey [L/N]?" I turned my head toward him "thanks" I nodded "I love you, y'know that?" I giggled "that was sudden" he sighed "I'm trying my best here!" "I know I know! I love you too!" more laughter filled the room, I had hoped this moment would never end.

Blood Seekers -- The Monolith
Blood Seekers - Book 1, is now on Amazon, including the final chapters not posted here! https://www.royalroad.com/amazon/B07MYJ5ZRC “You will die!” That's what the developers of Blood Seekers promised them... The most challenging MMO ever created—that’s how they advertised it. Taglines like, “Not your granddaddy’s game,” and, “Only for the hardest of the hardcore,” had gamers going crazy. Set in a gothic, Lovecraftian world, with fully realized A.I. NPCS, gamers were desperate to get their hands on the new game and dive in, and Clay was one of them. It was going to be tough, but he was ready for it. What he wasn’t ready for, was countless players having their minds hijacked and being transformed into mindless, hostile creatures filled with nothing but hate who killed anyone on sight. They called them the Bloodless. Clay’s best and only friend, Rey, moved across the country she was twelve, but they kept in touch online, playing countless games together, and when Blood Seekers was released, they were both ready to step up to the plate and face the new challenge together. But now, Rey has been taken by the plague, her mind held hostage as one of the Bloodless. A mysterious black monolith has appeared at the center of the highest level zone in the game, a place no one has even come close to. Some say it will provide us with answers. Others say it will only lead to more questions. Who’s behind all this? Why are people’s minds being taken? Will we ever get to bring them back? How many more will be lost if we stay logged in? Nothing is certain, but if there’s any chance that reaching the monolith will bring Rey back back, then Clay will do everything he can to reach it. This is Book 1 in a new series from Stephen Roark! I will be posting chapters here until the book is done and published on Amazon!
