"Y/A,"
"Who's calling me"
"Y/A,"
"Huh?"
"Y/A!!"
~
"Gah!"
"Y/A, you okay?"
You looked up to find a spiky blonde hair guy with big aqua coloured eyes, It was Kou, your childhood friend. Secretly, you found his eyes mesmerizing and pretty. Getting back to your senses, you replied with a nod.
"Did you have a nightmare?", he asked worriedly. You shook your head in respond. "Look at her with her emotionless face, how annoying.", one of your female classmate whispered to her friends. You try to brush it off but Kou heard it clearly. "Those little-", as Kou was about to rush over to confront them, you quickly grabbed his arm to stop him from going over. He flustered furiously as you hold his arm near your chest. He quickly pulled out his hand and sat down.
You guys enjoyed a moment of peace and quiet together without feeling awkward at all. Suddenly Kou decided to break the silence by asking, "Y/A, why don't you stand up for yourself? Why do you always let them trash talk you?".
That question hit you hard in the head, "I just don't want to make the same mistake...", you muttered lowly. "Excuse me, I couldn't hear you.", Kou moved closer to hear what you were muttering. "I-i just don't wanna cause trouble, that's it.", as you hit kou's precious face, trying to hide something.
As recess came, you both went to eat at your usual spot, the top of the stairs. You and Kou talked about lots of interesting and hilarious things, getting lost in the conversation than ever. Your emotionless face disappeared, showing a whole different face and personality. Full of smiles and cheerfulness, you love teasing Kou with your rudeness. Kou wasn't surprised since it's not the first time you've showed this side of you.

As time goes by, you and Kou headed to class. While you guys are at it, you accidentally bumped into the girl who trash talked you. "Hey, are you blind?", clearly annoyed with you. "Apologize.", the girl said coldly. When Kou was about to burst out of anger, you reached out your hand to stop him. "I'm sorry.", saying it with emotionless eyes.
"Could you say it with more emotion?", the girl looked you straight in the eyes. "I'm sorry.", you said with not the slightest emotion. "You're blind and deaf, aren't you? One more time.", the girl laughed. As you were at your limits, anger took over you.
"Don't. Test. My. Patience.", pointing one finger at her, threatening. The girl seemed to be surprised, so did Kou. " W-what you're gonna do about it? Cry to your daddy?", the girl managed to spoke out. You pushed the girl on to the ground, your chin was high up but you were looking down at her. "I'm sorry~", you said playfully with your fingers on your lips.
Everyone around you was so surprised of the new side of you. Your face was glowing, behind you was the girl sitting on the floor in defeat. "Y/A! You were..different! You finally broke out of your shell!", Kou walking beside you, truly proud of you. " What do you mean shell? I'm not a snail!", you said rudely as always.
The story of why you've been emotionless will be a mystery~

Fallout: Vault X
An original novel set in the Fallout universe, written to be accessible to all, featuring unique people and places. Vol.II. out now Fallout: Vault X tells the story of John. A vault dweller, who spent every day of his twenty five years underground. Like his father, and his father before him. Proud to live in the last remaining bastion of humanity, all that survived The Great War of the atomic age. Hidden deep below the surface of the earth, toiling under brutal conditions. Year after year, decade upon decade. All to expand into the natural cave system the Vault occupied, building for the future. However, John knew what his forefathers did not, that everything he’d been taught was a lie. After finishing school at the age of ten, John received his standard issue pipboy. An arm mounted personal computer, worn by everyone in the Vault. Used to coordinate the relentless pace of expansion, needed to work as an apprentice. To learn the craft that would be his life’s work. A noble calling to ensure a future for all that remained of the human race. A quirk of fate saw John equipped not with the crude, clunky, pipboy model his father wore. That almost everyone around him wore. His looked smaller, sleeker, finished in a jet black sheen. And capable of doing far more than its drab counterparts. The world above had been ravaged by atomic flames, yet life clung to its bones. The Red Valley fared better than most in the century since the bombs fell. The clean water and rich soil protected by rolling hills. All spared from direct strikes, for the most part. Life survived here. Trees spawned from charred ground, misshapen, green leaves turned red. Along with simple crops, grown wild at first, then cultivated by the survivors. The scavengers of the old world were inventive, hardy people. All determined to rebuild in the ruins of a world they never knew. In the decades that passed settlements emerged. They grew, spreading along the valley floor. Reclaiming the pre-war remnants of the once industrialised heartland. Salvaging the robotic wonders of a bygone age to build their walls and work their fields. To protect them in the dark of the wasteland. But such things are uncommon in this world, and the rarer something is, the greater its value. And the worth of pre-war technology had not gone unnoticed. The last, real, power in this world rested in the mechanised hands of The Brotherhood of Steel. Forged from the mortally wounded old world military. The Brotherhood used its access to the weapons made for a conflict no one won to strike out into the wastes. Men and women were equipped with advanced armour, aerial transportation, high grade weaponry. Accompanied by the training, strength, and will, to put them to use. They established chapters and set up outputs far and wide. All dedicated to a single purpose. To ensure the technology left abandoned by its long dead creators didn’t fall into the wrong hands. Namely, any hands that were not their own. This is the world John escaped into. A place of horrors brought forth from atomic fire. A place where survival meant battling against the darkness. Fighting a war each day to get to the next. And war...war never changes

The Avery family were one of the few truly pureblood wizarding families left in society. They took pride in a long line of thoroughly talented witches and wizards who all bore the proud status as not only pureblood, but also Slytherins. Lucas Avery was perhaps the most prominent Avery. The boy who befriended Tom Riddle and was part of the Slug Club during his time at Hogwarts. One of the first Death Eaters, he showed tremendous loyalty towards his friend and master Lord Voldemort during his first rise to power. Whilst the other did not. Esmeralda (Esme) Avery never truly fit in anywhere. No matter how hard she tried. This case of isolation is perhaps what led Esme to rebel so fearlessly against what was expected against her. Then, in her sixth year at Hogwarts, she did something extraordinary. Not only was this one last desperate escape from the traumatic woes facing her at home, it also cemented her future. One fateful evening would lead Esme not only on a path of discovery but also fear and heartache. Are there any other kind of stories during Voldemort's first rise to power?
