《Heathers x reader (genderbend)》Christmas ball

I stare myself down in the mirror while wearing a dark green suit. My hair is slick back with tons of hair gel. Everything is raising through my head, I can't think clear. The only goal I have for the night was to talk to Y/n. Any word she said brightens up my mood.
A few yelling sounds suddenly come from outside my window. Slowly, I peek out just to see Chandler and McNamara sitting in Chandler's porche.
"Come on Hunter!" Chandler yells, beeping the car horn.
"Be right there", I yell back and run down the stairs. Mom and dad aren't home, as always, so there is no one to stop me.
I hurry out the door and practically jump inside the car. McNamara and Chandler stared at me, one of the stares more friendly than the other.
"I like your suit", McNamara smiles, breaking the awful loud silence.
"Thanks, I like yours too", I smile back and point at his suit. It's yellow and almost identical to mine. That may be because we bought them together though. We laugh before Chandler suddenly hits the gas and drives down the street.
The way to the school is extremely silent. All of us are caught up in our own thoughts. And if I'm guessing, it's all about Y/n.
I can't believe she has gotten me wrapped around her finger by just being herself. She's the only girl that doesn't fall for our foolish tricks, and the only girl that actually stands up to us.
So this is what it feels like being in love.
I feel like I'm about to turn into a foundation. The sweat has begun covering my back as well. Maybe
Y/n was just joking? Maybe I got stood up?
All my worries vanished once I hear a familiar voice calling my name. Y/n.

As I tilt my head up from the ground, it feels like my jaw has dropped to the floor. She is wearing a beautiful pink dress with white heels. Her hair is tied up in some kind of girl hairstyle. Either way, she's the most beautiful girl I have ever seen. And she's my date to the ball.
"Hey Martin", she smiles and walks up to me. "Omg, we're matching!".
She points at my suit and then back at her dress. We're both wearing pink. I had decided that I wanted to dress up for the occasion, so borrowed my dad's old suit. It's quite uncomfortable but it's worth it.
"Looks like we are", I nod, feeling all the nerves disappearing in my body. Talking to Y/n is just so stress relieving.
"That's great! Now everyone can see we're each other's dates. Come on, let's go!", she shrieks as she grabs my arm and runs inside the school. She isn't embarrassed being around me? Wow, this girl is something new.
We get to the gym when I feel Y/n wrapping her arm around my shoulder. Surprisingly, we're the same height which made it way easier to hold around each other.
"You ready for the time of your life Martin?", Y/n asks. I slightly nod while taking a deep breath. Both of us start walking in sync into the gym.
It's covered with balloons, lights and even a Christmas tree. Everything looks really nice, especially considering it's being held at Westerburg High, the most lazy and disgusting school in the state.
"Everyone is staring at us", I mumble into Y/n's ear.
"Probably because of you, you look amazing Martin", she chuckles and drags me all the way to the punch table. "Want a drink?".
"Sure", I shrug, watching her pour some punch into a red solo cup before handing it to me. After first sip, I feel like puking. "Ew, that's disgusting!".
"Thanks for the warning", Y/n giggles, pouring the liquid in her cup into the bowl again.
The whole night passes by like a flash. I spotted the Hunters earlier but hid away in the crowd. Everything is so awkward and weird now. I just wish everything would go back to how it was.

The Girl in the Abyss
Synopsis: The mysterious force known only as "God's Guidance" implemented a game-like system and rebuilt the planet using continents from five different worlds. Join Ellie, a young girl whose soul is filled with an ocean of love and trust. No matter how horrendous the circumstance or dreadful the suffering her kindness manages to shine through, but everyone breaks eventually. Watch as the horrors of reality slowly chip away at a pure soul until nothing but a monster remains and follow her down the path of despair as she finds a reason to live. ‘Our fate is one that always leads to suffering, but you can smile, I’ll shoulder everything else.’ Warning 1: This story covers very mature themes which I have listed here: Torture of a child (The MC is the victim), death, killing, slavery, and light gore. Nothing sexual ever occurs to the main character. Warning 2: This is another apocalyptic LitRPG, has a brokenly OP MC, bad writing, horrible grammar, and garbage sentence flow. It is my first attempt at writing a story since grade school. Inspired by my four favorite stories: Overlord, CLANNAD, The Arcane Emperor, and Tokyo Ghoul. A note by me: This is not a world domination story or an action story. There is fighting but it's not the focus. Another note by me: This is a work in progress. I’ll likely go back and change stuff a lot. The cover art is by a friend who has encouraged me since the start. Releases: Volume two will not be out anytime soon sadly. I apologize for the Hiatus.

Shadows in the Dawn Mist
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] - Winner November 2020 When a young woman is lured back to her homeland for the opportunity of a life time, she must face old fears. But never would she think that facing up to her past would change everything. Is History written by the victors, or by someone or something else...? *** I started writing this a few years ago and eventually fell out of love with it. I never finished it and my newer books are being written in different writing style, and genre with a more planned process. I decided to revisit it for the writathon and found that it wasn't as hopeless as I'd come to think. Hopefully, I've improved as a writer since them so the consistency may vary. Its been good to revisit and analyse my writing which I feel used to have some clunky and obvious dialogue which I'm trying to fix. This will always be my first novel and I hope, with a little exposure, I may come to like it again. Thanks for reading!

The Core And The Wardens of Eternity
What is the Core, they asked me... It's the light that pushes the darkness away, a bastion of justice, a safe keeper of life. It grooms love and tolerance, embraces science, fights ignorance, sentences it to die a slow and tragic death. The Core... it's something that can't be destroyed for destroying it is to terminate the time and space itself. When the stuck-in-a-dark-age world of Zanria goes offline, the Core sends one of its experienced agents to find out what is going on and to try to reestablish a mysteriously severed connection. However, all his training and experience might come way short as the world sinks in war and chaos with different races and clans fighting for the Star of Bardan, the ward rumored to possess enough supernatural power to create and destroy entire worlds. *** I just changed the name of the series, from 'the Nexus' to 'the Core'. Somehow it just sounds more right to me. This is the first story, and it has a medieval fantasy setting. But, eventually, this is going to turn into Isekai series with elements of LitRPG. So, my future books might include worlds with advanced technologies that might be more in SciFi, including Steampunk, genre. The first book might start slow, but after a few chapters, it should all be properly set up, and by then you should get the feel of how it will all flow. Also, I plan to introduce different story threats that should spread out and criss-cross in the future. Hopefully, I will not complicate it too much, and that it will all read good. I am planning to continue to add chapters to the main storyline here, but I'm also starting a new story threat in the Core series called The Recordings of Raan. There is also a side story The Memoires of Eisen that's exclusive on Patreon for those who would like to support me.

Beyond the Horizon's Eye
It is less than two weeks after the event known as the Flux Causality, and two days after the Grand Council has put forth the edict demanding the immediate retrieval and deletion of all Stringhoppers. Finding such Travelers, however, is proving more difficult than expected. A young boy and his sister find themselves violently taken from their world to another, and soon thereafter are forcibly separated. Now sold into slavery, the young man must find not only a reason to survive but a purpose to carry him home. The journey has just begun, and the hardest step is always the first one. ~ This is my attempt at both the Xianxia/Wuxia and Portal/Isekai genre of fiction that I love, and the means to provide a story set in such guidelines, while distancing myself from some of the more common tropes. I do hope you enjoy the story I shall endeavor to tell. ~ Average post between 1000 - 3000 words. This is a work in progress, and will be edited and adjusted over time. If you’re interested in something a bit more GameLIT, you might want to check out my second story on Royal Road, “The Dawnfire Archives”. My newest story is a combination of both genres, but with a female main character at the helm. Feel free to check out "The Card Thief of Culnivar"!

The Card Thief of Culnivar
Deep with the cozy kingdom of Daeton, among the generation-old farmlands and villages, a young farmer’s daughter stumbles upon a dead man. His elaborate clothing has been torn to ribbons, yet his skin remains unblemished. His face is peaceful, and tucked into the hand lying across his chest can be seen a solitary playing card. He is a Ludum Haeres. The last remnant of a Summoner. Numbered among those few capable of changing their destinies. The unseen rulers of the world known as Vesperia, and one of the most powerful creatures in existence. The woman knows none of this. And so, she picks up the card... This is my third novel on Royal Road, the first being "Beyond the Horizon's Eye", and the second being "The Dawnfire Archives". This story is something of a test in a new genre, that of CardLIT. We'll see how well it succeeds as the story continues. It takes place in a different setting than my other tales, with an entirely new cast of characters. It does, however, contain several ties between the stories. Average post between 1000 - 3000 words.
