《Text Me》Coffee?

Alec sat in the quiet of the break room, sweat sliding down his back. He was having trouble concentrating on his clients as thoughts of Stiles and Magnus swirled in his mind. He has no idea the two had met, and wouldn't know what to do with that information if he got ahold of it.
"Alec," Jace said peaking his head into the room, "we got to continue man that was barely anything."
Jace was Alec's brother, as well as his work out partner. The one kept the other in check as they battled for the highest gain, taking loses with stride.
Today though, Jace was the client, something he does every now and again when he has a free moment. The way Alec works with Jace is much different than everyone else, seeing as the biggest motivation is working out together.
"Yeah sorry I'll be out there in a second." Alec said sliding his phone from his pocket.
After reassuring himself he typed in Stiles number and hit call. Before the call could even go through he changed his mind and ended the call gripping his phone in his hand. "If he wanted to talk he'd message me. He's probably busy." Alec reasoned. Taking a deep breath he headed out to finish the session.
Stiles stared at the speaker in front of him. Had his mind been clear he would have been listening but the only thing swimming in his thoughts was Magnus Bane.
The Asian man had made an impression quiet easily on Stiles. The countless flirtatious remarks made Stiles wonder what Alec could have possibly done to this man. Magnus was very attractive also, leading Stiles mind down a dangerous path of self loathing. How could Alec possibly like him? Stiles thought of himself as a pale, spastic kid who couldn't possibly be liked by a handsome, strong man like Alec. These thoughts fought with Stiles as the lecture winded to a close.
Shaking off these feelings he headed out of the hall and into the cool breeze of campus. "This is what it will be like." Stiles thought, the wind clearing his mind. "This will be my new life."
Pulling out his phone he sent Alec a text, ignoring all of the negative thoughts bombarding his mind.

S: So how about that coffee? ☕️
Within a few moments Alec had sent him the address with a "see you there." At the end.
A smile graced Stiles lips as he haled a taxi.
Alec wiped his hands on his workout shorts. "Hey Jace I get off in two minutes so let's do 100 jumping jacks and be done."
Jace had agreed and soon the two were wiping down in the locker room.
"So Izzy tells me there's a guy." Jace said pulling his shirt over his head.
"There's not a guy." Alec replied also pulling his shirt off.
"Okay how about you explain why your about to take a shower." Alec gave Jace a dumbfounded look.
"I don't know Jace maybe because I'm covered in sweat and it's gross." Alec said convincingly.
"You never shower here, you always go home and shower before meeting back up with me at Luke's." A sign escaped Alec's lips as he slumped down on the bench.
"There isn't a guy, or I don't know. We haven't met yet, that's where I'm going after this so I actually won't be able to meet at Luke's, we're getting coffee."
Jace smirked down at his adoptive brother knowing good and well he didn't have the time to shower.
"When do you meet him?" Jace asked.
"I'm suppose to be there by 1:30." Alec replied slipping his shoes off.
"Alec it's 1:25 man."
"What?" Alec asked frantically pulling out his phone. Jace was right, it was 1:25 meaning Alec could never shower and be there on time. "Fuck. Fuck. Fuck." He said pulling his shoes back on and throwing his shirt on.
"There's a guy." Jace said as Alec threw his duffle into his locker.
"Shut up Jace." Alec yelled over his shoulder as he hurried out of the locker room.
Stiles sat by the window, already having grabbed a hot chocolate, as he waited for Alec to arrive. The time said 1:35 the last time Stiles had checked and he was getting a bit nervous. What if he was going to flake like last night? What if him and Magnus use to come to this coffee shop together? What if Stiles wasn't good enough?

These thoughts began driving Stiles crazy. He needed to calm down, he realized that. Unlocking his phone he began to scroll through his list of friends, quickly finding Lydia.
S: Hey Lyds am I being stood up if they don't show up within 10 minutes of when they said they would?
S: Coffee shop he said was close to his house.
S: Almost.
S: Nope.
Taking a deep breath Stiles let it out. Tucking his phone in his pocket he gripped his cup and stood. Opening the door he took a left and started to head toward the comic shop he saw on his way in.
"Stiles!" A voice yelled from behind him. Turning around he saw a black headed boy dodging his way through the crowd.
"Alec?" Stiles questioned out loud. Before long Alec stood in front of Stiles breathing heavy.
"I'm sorry I'm late I had to get a cab and then we got stuck in traffic on 3rd street and I ran from there." Alec rambled showing how nervous he was.
"You ran from 3rd street?" Stiles questioned.
Both boys stood in the middle of the walkway people passing on both sides.
"Yeah."
"Alec that's like three blocks away." Stiles exclaimed.
"Now you see why I'm late. Now can we go get a coffee?" Stiles nodded and the two headed back to the cafe.
Once Alec had ordered his drink, a white chocolate mocha cappuccino with Caramel drizzle, Stiles began laughing.
"Oh shut up Izzy got it for me one time and it's really good. What did you get?"
"A hot chocolate." Stiles replied simply.
The two sat at Stiles previous table and talked about everything. Alec's worries about not taking a shower faded away as Stiles acted like it didn't bother him. Stiles fears about Alec not liking him disappeared as the pair flirted back and forth.
Hours past and the two were still talking about everything and anything in between. It wasn't until Alec apologized for missing the party that Stiles got quiet.
"It's fine I understand." He had said before shutting down. Was he suppose to explain that he already knew the real reason Alec hadn't been there?
"I.. um." Stiles started. "I met Magnus last night."
Alec visibly stopped breathing. "So you know?" Alec whispered.
"Yeah." Stiles breathed out.
"I'm sorry I lied."
After that hiccup the two continued to talk until Stiles had to leave.
"They are paying for some play so we get the full New York experience." Stiles had said before they two departed.
Alec had gotten home to his shared apartment with his siblings when Isabelle assisted him with questions.
"Jace told me." She squealed the second the door closed. "So how was it? Is he as cute in person as he is in pictures? Did you guys kiss? Oh my god wait tell me you didn't go in that. Aleeeec you're hopeless."
"What?" Alec questioned. "I headed there from the gym, Stiles didn't seem to mind. Now if you will excuse me I'm going to take a shower."
Alec headed to his room before calling out to his sister. "Izzy he met Magnus."
"Better sooner then later right?" Isabelle replied.
"I guess."
Stiles wasn't paying attention to the play, he was busy telling Lydia all about the coffee date.
S: and then I told him I met Magnus.
S: yeah. His mood completely dropped and he changed subjects really quick.
S: no. I mean I get it and I want to see him again but i dont know if he does if that makes scenes.
S: That I'm going to go home and these past 2 months of talking will have meant nothing. I just, I don't want to look like a fool.
S: thanks Lyds
S: I got to go but I love you, and check in on my dad for me bring him a salad or something heathy please.
Alec laid in bed after his shower thinking about Stiles at that coffee shop. He thought about the way Stiles face light up when he talked about things that he loved, or how he couldn't stop moving for the life of him.
Alec thought about the honey color of his eyes and the moles that littered his skin. He thought about the way one eye slightly squints more then the other when he smiles. All he could think about was how beautiful Stiles was.
"Fuck." He whispered. "I'm so screwed."

Dungeon Core Chat Room.
This is a slower-paced "experiment and dungeon building" web novel that tries to use the idea of peer-to-peer communication with Dungeon Cores instead of Dungeon to slave monster communication to break up the detailed dungeon building. Rank 1 description: (minimum met for system initialization...detailed description as follows) Each race was given a system by the gods to make up for their shortcomings and balance their place in this world. Humans: Abysmally bad at understanding and using magic unable to use more than the lowest of magic were given the "Skill System" magic in the form of premade skills with use, study, and mastery tied to experience. Elves: Intuitively understand magic and have long lives leading to vast knowledge and skill in their chosen fields. However, as a species, they have nearly zero sex drive and less than low fertility, so they were gifted the "World Tree System" with experience gained through the care of natural areas – gifting the chance of children to increase their numbers without dirty copulation. All “natural” or “wild” monsters are given an "Evolution system" designed around killing and consuming as many creatures as possible, slowly increasing strength and, at thresholds, allowing mutations to alter them multiple times. Dungeon cores are different. Unlike humans, they can see, manipulate and live off mana. Unlike Elves, they naturally crystallize after extended periods of time in high mana level areas. However, they cannot easily move or communicate and typically go insane without companionship. As a species other than the odd eccentric they are unimaginative. Brute forcing solutions without the drive to truly innovate. Thus they have been gifted with the "Dungeon Connection System" a magical version of the internet accessible by their peers that allows them to barter and sell: bait, traps, monsters, and knowledge, as well as entertain each other with “adventure streams” using exciting recorded battles and humorous reels of arrogant chumps biting off more than they can chew to often fatal effects. This is the casual story of a dungeon unluckily spawned far from potential adventurers forced to innovate beyond its peers to find its place in this world. Rank 2 Description: Justification. I've been on a dungeon core kick for months and while I love the genre – it's sparse with entries. Often the forced conflict gets repetitive and frantic solving of threats "power levels" the protagonist to god levels to progress the plot – taking away the nice steady progression fantasy I'm looking for. (Progression in this story is linked to how strong of monsters/traps/whatever he can create not his "level"...this is demonstrated by some of his newer monsters beating his older monsters not with discrete "this monster has 10 attack this one has 40") Additionally, the focus on 3rd parties with their drama takes away from the reason I’m reading dungeon core novels in the first place – I'm looking for magical crafting, experimentation and kingdom building – not defence from higher and higher levelled enemies looking to steal/destroy/control the MC. This novel is kind of just me writing the story I wish I could read. I like thinking about the experimentation that can be done in fantasy settings using 'mana' as an excuse to make up rules and try to keep them internally consistent. IE once I define how a rule works, I'm going to commit to keeping it – no breaking hard truths I've given when it's convenient, even if it backs me into a corner. Hopefully, that should make the story interesting to read even if it's SOL and less action-oriented. There will be problems to solve and a clear progression in strength (of created monsters and knowledge) however due to not wanting to force conflict for the sake of conflict the general theme will be closer to slice of life with few action sequences and no overarching goal so please keep that in mind when picking this up as the genre is not for everyone. Finally, I have a clear goal of what I want from this story (not an endless romp but a series of arcs and then a conclusion that's a couple of dozen medium-sized chapters long) I want to commit to finishing it or at least bringing it to a point of rest. I hate all the engaging stories that stop with a “hiatus” indefinitely so in the event I lose motivation I'll work to end this even if the ending becomes rushed/unsatisfying just to give a sense of closure. I’m planning on including several polls in terms of direction and taking feedback heavily into account if I get enough readers (but may choose to ignore it if it deviates too far from the direction I want to take this as in feedback like: “The MC needs a cartoonishly evil arch-enemy that wants to enslave him and force the mc to pump out magic items” or “the MC needs to make a body and learn teleportation then live with humans” will get shot down without consideration.)

Naga rising (Final version)
Eshanai used to think that her life was pretty good, that the elders of her tribe of Naga sisters had their best interests at heart. But one suspiciously regular disaster after another sort of makes you question things. So when Eshanai decides to go out on the island to do the unthinkable, break some rules, and nothing terrible happens to her like the elders said it would, her questions start to multiply. What else could the elders be wrong about? Were the Naga really chosen by the spirits? And could there be other people out there, beyond their island? Follow Eshanai and some of her sisters as she tries to find a way to leave the island and comes up with increasingly creative ways to get into a certain Oni's pants. Author's note: This is not a rewrite of my original Naga rising story. It's more of a reimagining, as it contains many of the same characters and settings but will have a completely different plot. Be advised that the two are not related to one another. This should not be seen as any form of sequel or prequel story. So I have caught up to my backlog, and at first, I thought I could release a chapter once a week. That turned out to be unrealistic as I am writing in my spare time, so periods of inaction might not be uncommon. Some of the tags might not come into effect until later on in the story.
