(After the Disney trip.)

(Aaaand yes, I have figured out who it is that Aricka will be dating...I'll let you guess who it is... ^-^)

Mark, Jack, Ethan, Dodie, Dan, Phil, and I were the only kids in our group of friends who didn't leave over fall break. So, we were all hanging out at the park. Jack and I were sitting in the gazebo while the others played Frisbee. "Shouldn't you be out there?"

"Out where?" he asks.

"Playing Frisbee with everyone else." Sean smiled and took my hand.

"Why go play with the friends I've known all my life and not get to know the prettiest girl I've ever met?" I look away, blushing.

"W-well, I-I uh-"

"No, I'm serious. I want to get to know you better." he says. I look back at him and grin. 

"I'm only 14, you know."

"So am I," he points out. "I'm not asking you to marry me-I just want to spend more time with you." I let out a laugh.

"Okay. Let's do it. Fire away." his eyes lit up, and he moves to sit in front of me. 

"Favorite color."

"Blue-a soft blue," I answer, not even hiding the fact that his eye color is my new favorite color. "You?"

"Red," he replies. "Favorite song?"

"Get To Know You," By Jai Waetford." (.) I brush a strand of hair from my face.

That night I sat up in my room, thinking about Sean-Jack, as he let us call him. A silly smile made its way onto my face, and I let out a giggle. "He's such a dork," I mumble.

"Who're you talking to, kiddo?" Patton asks. I jump, and reply,

"Oh, no one. Just thinking." He comes and sits in front of me.

"What'cha thinking about?"

"Jack," I answer without thinking and blush. Patton squeals,

"Aw, you've got your first crush!"

"Patton," I whine and grab my heart pillow, gently hitting him with it. "Don't talk too loud, that'll bring Roman in."

"Did someone say Prince?" Roman appears, and I jump.

"Uggh!" I groan jokingly. "Can't a girl have five minutes of privacy around here?" I ask my pillow.

"You love me and you know it," he answers. "Now, I believe I heard the word crush coming from this room. Who's got the love issue?" I raise my hand.

"Me. You know my friend Jack?" Roman nods. "He says he wants to get to know me, and he's always calling me gorgeous, pretty, adorable, cute. I don't know what he's trying to say-I've barely known him for three months, but I already like him."

Thomas walks in. "Aricka, Jack's here to see you." Roman smiles at me.

"Why don't you tell him?"

"Me? Tell him? That's like-like Harry Potter telling Draco Malfoy he fancies him. I'm scared to!"

"Well, maybe he came here to tell Aricka," Patton offers. I walk out, face flaming, down to where Jack was.

Jack was sitting on the couch, but when he saw me, he stood up. "Come outside with me," he tells me, and I follow him.

We sit on the swing, and he starts playing music-Get to Know You, by Jai Waetford. "Jack-?" he smiles, and starts singing,

We sit back down, and he says, "Aricka, I can't wait any longer. As soon as you left the park, I ran home, learned this song, and came here to ask you-will you go out with me?"

I look in the window and see Roman and Patton giving me thumbs-up signs. I turn and smile at him.

"I will."
