"King is trying to get into the Necropolis?" Diane asks from outside the tavern's window.
"That guy..." The boy starts, "For the past few days, he's been coming here to figure out how to get to the Necropolis."
"If he's been looking how to get there for days... Does that mean it's a grave in a really remote place?" Hawk asks.
"No... It's right around here," The boy shakes his head.
"What do you mean?" Y/N asks.
"The entrance of the Necropolis is in this village, but you can't go there just because you want you to," The boy says.
I nod listening to him, "I see... In other words," I say and bend down to Hawk tying a plate of Ban's food on rope and stick, tying the stick to Hawk, "It's like this!"
"I don't think that's what he meant Captain," Y/N says and I look at her, "If I understood the small information correctly," She turns to the boy and girl, "That the Necropolis isn't a grave hidden or in view, it's a place where people who have passed on live, correct?" She asks and they nod.
"So basically... It's like the afterlife?" I ask.
"Basically yes," She nods.
"How... How can we go to a place like that?" Elizabeth asks a little worried.
"How can I reach this plate right here!!" Hawk says but we ignore him struggle to get the playte.
"Have you been there?" Ban asks the children.
"No way! It's all just superstition!"The boy shakes his head quickly, "But every now and then, travellers and rich people would come here because of that rumour and that's how this village got started."
"But... If it's the afterlife, there's no way we can get there, right?" Elizabeth asks looking at me and I look back at her with my arms folded across my chest.
"' A priceless memory shared with the deceased will open the path to the Necropolis' Our next-door neighbour was always saying that," The girl says, "I'm sorry... That's about all we know..."
I hear the door open and shut, I turn to see Y/N flying away, "Let's go, everyone," I say and we all follow after the adorable fairy.
We follow her into the village and stop by some small cliffs, "A priceless memory with the deceased will open the path... then," Elizabeth says and I look at her with a blank look at she smiles and blushes, "I... Want to meet my mother who passed away when I was young because I couldn't get to know her and I don't know anything about her."
"How stupid are you?" Y/N asks bluntly, "How would that open the gate when you have no memory of your mother?" I bite the inside of my mouth trying not to laugh at the choice of her words.
I watch as she stares off into space, possibly thinking about whoever she shares a priceless memory with. I suddenly notice flowers surrounding the ground, "Were these blooming just a second ago?" I ask.

"Who cares?" Hawk says and I glance at the talking pig, "They're just flowers, even if we were to eat them, we'd never get full..." He huffed making the petals on a flower fly up then all the petals suddenly went up into the air with a large surge of wind surrounding us.
I cover my eyes when the wind gets too much once the wind had died down I move my hand down. I'm stunned by the sight I see, calm and empty, a place surrounded by green crystals coming up from the ground or walls.
"Captain... Is this?" Diane starts.
"...Yeah," I answer her.
"Is it possible that my longing to see my mother... Led us here...?" Elizabeth asks.
"You really don't listen do you?" Y/N looks at her, "No memories mean nothing you did helped us get here," She says harshly and turns away from her.
"It might be my memories of the leftovers I was never able to eat..." Hawk commented but no one replies to me.
"I have no idea, my mind was completely blank," I say.
"Mine too!" Diane says and a slight squeal.
I see a blur pass me, I look forward to seeing Y/N flying off, "Y/N!" Ban follows her and King, "Ban! King!"
I saw Elaine in the distance and I fly after her, "I won't let you get away!!" Harlequinn shouts.
"I won't let you get away!!" Ban shouts and I glance to see them following as well.
"Ban... Don't think that you can get away from me!!" Harlequinn says.
I fly off faster, "Elaine!" I look around and I see her looking at me with a smile, "Elaine..." I fly to her and hug her tightly, spinning us around.
She returns my hug, "Big sister!" She leans back and tears form in her eyes, "Why... Why did you make us forget?" She asks.
"I'm sorry... Because of who I loved I put our forest in danger, the danger passed when I was forgotten," I explain.
"But, your true love... Won't be he angry with you?" Elaine asks.
"I can handle Meliodas," I smile at her and we hug again, "Why is Ban following you as well?" I ask.
"Hmm... Well..." Elaine fidgets and I grin at her, "He promised to take me away from the Fountain of Youth when our brother disappeared... Ban tried to protect me from the Red Demon! I swear he tried!"
"I know Elaine," I smile and we fly back to Ban and King to see Ban slowly turning into a fossil, "Go on," I hide behind a crystal.
Ban grins looking at Elaine, "What's so funny? Don't act so tough. You're really frustrated, aren't you?" Harlequin says with a smirk.
"Really... Look nothing alike," Ban says before he's fossilised.
"Goodbye... Ban," Harlequinn says.

I walk to Elaine and we look at each, I shake my head slightly disappointed in my brother's actions.
"To the very end, not even a word of repentance... That's just like you, Ban..." Harlequinn says, "Then at least, in the Necropolis... Not allowed to die or find peace, all alone.... Just live in agony for the rest of eternity," He turns and flies away with his Chastefol, "That's a fitting fate for you, in return for stealing everything from Elaine."
"Go on," I say and Elaine flies to Ban as Harlequinn stops, turning to see what's happening.
"What...? Is that?" He asks clearly not able to see Elaine, "Some kind of trick by Ban...? No... That's impossible Ban shouldn't be able to do anything..."
Harlequinn gasps and his Chastefol pierces into the ground, "No way... This feeling is... Elaine... Is it... really you?"
I smile as Elaine kisses Ban, releasing him from the fossilisation Harlequinn put him under, "What!? The fossilisation was... released?!!" He questions.
I smile looking at Ban and Elaine, "Yo, Elaine," Ban says and I giggle.
"Ban... How can you see Elaine...? Is... Is that really Elaine?! No... No! If that's really the case, how can you see her while I can't!?" Harlequinn questions.
"Relax," I roll my eyes and I fly to Harlequinn, "Shut up for once," He looks at me shocked.
"Ban... How did you get that scar?" Elaine questions.
"Keh, so you haven't been watching from this world at all?" Ban looks away.
Harlequinn looks over at them, "That voice really is!! Elaine... It's me!! You know, right?" He says, "Please! Let me see you, too! Why allow Y/N!?"
"You should let him see you, he's your sibling as well," Ban says.
Elaine shakes her head, "In the Necropolis it's possible for the living and the dead to see each other again, but only is they are bound together by strong emotions and shared memories... Where you and I have strong emotions."
"You're still mad at me..." Harlequinn says looking at the ground, "That I abandoned everything... You... The Kingdom... I threw it all away!!"
"Big sister and I have memories for playing together when she was the Queen, she left for our safety," Elaine says.
Harlequinn looks at me shocked and I turn back to Ban and Elaine, ignoring his shocked expression at me, "What is she saying Y/N?" Harlequinn questions.
A strong magical feeling suddenly appears and we turn to where the feeling was coming from, "Y/N? Is it a Holy Knight?" Ban asks and I nod, he goes to move.
"Ban, wait!" Elaine says, "Why... Did you come to see me?"
"No reason, I just wanted to say one thing," Ban says.
"Fine! I'm alright with what you think of me! But there's no reason for you to save Ban!! He's the one who stole everything from you!!" Harlequinn shouts.
"Were you there?" I ask looking at my younger brother, glaring at him, "No, you abandoned the Kingdom I left to you."
Ban looks back at Elaine, "Someday, I'll definitely make you mine," He says before running off to the magical energy.
"Thank you, Ban..." Elaine says and I fly to Elaine we hug, "Y/N... Let him remember..." She whispers.
"I can't... Not yet," I whisper.
"I don't understand. How... Can you forgive Ban, the man who stole everything from you? How can you say Y/N is the Queen... What is it I don't know?" Harlequinn says.
"...After you threw away out Kingdom, for seven hundred years... I lived the whole time fighting the loneliness by myself, but those seven hundred years of solitude... He buried them in just seven days... Because Ban found out that you're my brother, he provoked you and took your spear," Elaine says and Harlequinn looks up, "He's not the person that you think he is."
"E...Elaine," He looks up, "How... Am I able to see..."
"If you can see me, then it's because... I want you to understand Ban and help him, as well as wanting to help the two of you," She looks between us, "Y/N... You can't be alone forever with memories unshared... You know that."
"Nightshadefol," I shade my pillow appears, "5th form... Sunlight drop," I watch as my pillow turns into a purple flower with an orange glow around the petals, a drop slides down a petal and onto Harlequinn.
Harlequinn blinks and looks at me, "B...Big Sister..." He whispers and I fly away to Meliodas with Nightshadefol following after me.
"Captain!" I grab him and fly up in the sky before a large fireball hits him.
Meliodas looks up, "Where have you been?" He asks with a smile, "I was worried."
"Family reunion," I smile at me and look at the female Holy Knight.
"I was going to cover him!" Diane whines and I roll my eyes, "Don't roll your eyes at me!"
"So these are the legendary order of Knights... Shame," The Holy Knight says.
I put Meliodas down, "What's your name?" I ask the knight.
"Guila, you're the Wolf Sin of Betrayal... Falling in love with a demon and leaving your Kingdom," Guila says and I freeze looking at her, "Oh? Didn't the team know?" She smirks.
"You fell in love with... A demon?" Meliodas says looking at me shocked before the others attacked the Holy Knight.
Harlequinn's spear went through Ban, hitting Guila and sending her backwards, "Yo, Ban," He says and looks at Guila, "If you have something to say about my big sister again, I suggest you don't... A little warning."

Note: Slight edits to early chapters (and removal of one chapter - previously chapter 2) have been made 2/2/21 The city, my city, had once been alive in a way that was hard to describe. Thriving, active, hopeful. Vibrant. But life, as I had come to learn, sometimes possesses only the most tenuous of grasps. Finally, in the end, it became my city - mine alone. I was, after all, the only one left. Worse, it was entirely my fault. There was red in my ledger that could never be wiped clean. Not while I still lived, anyway. This story follows Eran, a man who became the opposite of everything he had ever wanted to be; in a world where superpowers began to appear in a rare few, his lack of control over his own power relegated him to the role of a terrible villain - the Reaper, named so for the countless lives that he absorbed and made his own, each only furthering his deadly lack of control. Gone mad with guilt and isolation, he strove for a single heroic act - his own demise. Death was less permanent than he hoped. Centuries later, he woke to a changed world and in a body not his own. Unfortunately, his power came with him. Yet this time, things would be different. This time, he had a chance to bring it under control. He could never truly make up for the things he had done; he could never achieve redemption. That wouldn't stop him from trying to be a hero. Mistbound: Eternity
The world is said to be formed out of duality of man. Good and evil, right and wrong, light and dark. And with duality, comes conflict. A meaningless clash of ideals results in pointless wars. Azlan is wanderer who doesn't falls in either category. Tired and done with the redundant world, he lives his secluded life, hunting monstrosites for coin in the crumbling province of Mountaliya, situated in the land of Forsa. The premise follows Azlan as he explores the province, experiencing the culture and its people as they try to stand unshaken amidst a cold and unforgiving world. The story is a dark fantasy that is a balance of action and world building but most importantly, it follows the people going about their daily lives. The world has entered a state of stasis, there are no high stakes, no glory to be had, only a decaying realm of ice remains. Everyone awaits for Heaven's descent, an event prophesied to bring the world out of stasis, by granting the champion of the event a wish. Heaven Shall Descend. I wanted to write a high fantasy story that doesn't focuses too much on Magic and Swordfights, but rather interactions between people, a bit of politics and ideals. This is my first attempt at writing something this huge, please let me know if you see mistakes or any problems in general, so I can learn from them. (The cover picture is from the year 1818, "Wanderer Above the Mist" by Caspar David Friedrich). I also write Short stories set in the same shared universe.
