《When We Crashed》Bye Bye

Ella's pov:

"What do you mean you ate all of the pizza?!!" Julie's voice echoes through the house as Jake clutches the empty pizza box in his hands.

"I was hungry!!!"

"It was a FULL pizza!!"

"Well, maybe you should have bought more." Jake says, as he licks off pizza sauce from his thumb after setting the box on the counter.

Julie only glares at him as he does this, "I hope one day your metabolism just turns off and you have to be on 'My 600 pound life'."

"At least I will still be liked...unlike you." Jake says smirking at her.

"I think you will be the unliked one here. And to prove my point, you weren't even invited here, you showed up and ate all our pizza!!" Julie exclaims as I laugh from behind her.

She was right, Julie and I are having one of those 'girl nights' but instead of it being just us all of the other times, I think a girl named Gianna is joining us.

And we were SUPPOSE to watch a movie and eat pizza...

But, I guess that can't happen when all of the pizza is GONE.

"I haven't seen my girlfriend in forever!! She said she would be here."

Before Julie has the chance to... attack Jake, I quickly stepped between them.

What can I say? I don't have good experiences in hospitals, and I think you know why.

And by the looks of it, Julie is about to put Jake in and full body cast.

"Julie, didn't your mom buy frozen Pizzas or something? I'm pretty sure we helped her unpack some of the groceries yesterday." I say while she just nods her head slightly.

"Fine," she peers over my shoulder and gives a sturdy look to Jake, "that means you can go 'bye bye' now."

"Bye bye?"

"As in.. BYE BYE" Julie says and suddenly, she grabs Jake's arm and before I could stop her, she drags his arm and makes him follow her downstairs to the front door, "Bye Bye!" She grins and slams the door in his face.

I stare at her in wide eyes, half shocked, and half amazed on how she just threw a 18 to 19 year boy who was almost double her size out of her house with no struggle.

"How?" Is all I can say as I follow her into the kitchen.

"Lets just say, I take my food very seriously." Julie grins as she goes into the freezer and pulls out a box of frozen pepperoni pizza.

As she takes it out of the box, I sit on the counter stool.

"Why was Jake here in the first place? I mean, I know because he wanted to see Gianna, but didn't the boys have some guy hangout next door at Ashton's or something?" I ask as Julie preheats the oven.

"I just assumed that the boys ran out of food over there." Julie laughs.

"I wouldn't be surprised." I laugh also.

"I'm pretty sure that's all they do, eat and see who is the strongest."

"Who do you think is the strongest?" I raise my eyebrow at her.

She just grins, "I think you already know the answer to that."

"Oh yeah, wasn't Ashton the boxing captain or something?" I ask.

Julie nods her head, "Yeah he was, and he was good at it."

"That's awesome."

"Yeah, so when the guys talk, it's always about boxing, but I literally don't understand it, no matter how many boxing matches I go to. There are so many rules." She says.

"So are they all hanging out just to catch up?"

"Yeah, I guess it is hard for them not to see each other every single day." But as she says this, I couldn't help but wonder.

"Do you think... Luke was there?" I couldn't help but ask out loud.

Julie doesn't say anything for a short bit as she puts the pizza in the oven and sets a timer, she then walks over to the other side of the counter facing me.

"Ashton didn't text me anything, I just told him to tell me how everything went when it is over." Julie shrugs.

"Oh... okay." I say.

Gosh, why do I even care?

He ignored me for a week!! I shouldn't care!!

But I guess it is funny how it only takes seconds to get to know someone, but a lifetime to forget.

"Don't worry about him, he will come around." Julie says, but I just shake my head at her.

"The thing is, I don't even know if I want him to 'come around.' A part of me wants him to say 'I'm sorry' but the other part..."

"Doesn't want to get hurt again?" Julie finishes my sentence as I nod my head.

If Luke comes back, I don't even know what I will do.

What if he does it again?

But what if he doesn't?

At times like these, I wish I could have one of those magic spheres and have it tell me the future, it would make life so much less difficult.

But at bowling, I said that I would let him go.

And it.... was so wrong.

How can I let someone go if they are constantly on my mind?

Who are all I think about?

As the same thoughts devour my brain like it has been doing for a week straight, the door bell goes off.

At first, I was confused who it would be, but that was until I heard squealing from the other side of the door.

"You might want to... cover your ears." Is the only thing Julie says as she walks towards the door hesitantly like a murderer was about to break it down any second.

When Julie opens the door, a girl who looks like my age rushes up to Julie and hugs her, "I haven't seen you in forever!!" I remember her name to be Gianna says.

Julie just laughs and pulls away, "I know! I want you to meet someone!" Julie says as she looks towards me.

I watch as Gianna follows Julie's eyes to me, and I hesitantly stand up from the stool.

"Hey-.." I start to say, but next thing I know, Gianna is running up to me and squeezing me into a hug.

I stand there shocked, but mostly scared that she was going to squeeze my organs flat in a matter of seconds.

She pulls away and shakes my hand, "I'm Gianna! It's so nice to finely be able to talk to another girl... other than you know who." she says, the last part coming out more like a whisper.

"Hey! What is that suppose to mean?!" Julie whines calling from behind us as Gianna turns around.

"You know what I mean Julie Wells, you never go shopping with me because it is 'too much effort'!" Gianna laughs, but it quickly stops as she sees Julie smirking.

This causes her to instantly turn towards me, "You like shopping... right?" She asks.

I hesitantly answer, "Well..." I say as Gianna's mouth widens.

"Are you serious!! I have two lazy friends now?!" She whines.

"I wouldn't say lazy, I prefer.... having better things to do in life."

"And what is that?" Gianna asks looking at Julie.

"Eating." Julie grins as the smell of the pizza fills the air.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Wait, so who is that guy again?" Gianna whispers as she shoves a piece of pizza in her mouth.
"Jacob Black" Julie and I say at the same time as we keep our eyes focused on the movie.
"Werewolf guy?"
"Shhhhh" I say as Jacob turns into his large wolffish self.
As you could probably guess, we are all watching twilight in Julie's room.
Most of the pizza was gone, but it definitely lasted longer than Jake devouring the whole box.
I seriously just don't understand how that is humanly possible, but I guess that's teenage boys for you.
Suddenly, the sound of the doorbell goes off, as all our eyes shift to one another, and then at the clock on Julie's nightstand.
"Who could be ringing the doorbell at 11:00 at night?" I question as I look at Julie.
"No clue."
"Could the boys be trying to prank us?" Gianna asks.
"They wouldn't do that, and even if they tried, I think Ashton knows what a life or death situation is and not to scare me at night." Julie says and pauses the movie.
Gianna just shrugs as we all walk down the stairs.
"Julie, where are your parents at a time like this?" Gianna whispers.
"They left today at noon because Jake had a baseball tournament, aren't going to be back until tomorrow night."
"I can see that the athletic trait skipped you for some reason." Gianna giggles as Julie smacks her playfully.
"Hey, I am athletic enough to run away from the ball in gym class."
"As in dodgeball?"
"As in kickball, soccer, volleyball, and basketball."
"Okay, who is going to open the door?" I interrupt their talking as we near the door.
"I vote Julie." Gianna says.
"Why me?!"
"Because if it is a killer, maybe Ashton's boyfriend spider senses will go off and save us."
Julie just rolls her eyes, "Fine I will do it, but not because of that lame excuse."
Gianna and I watch as Julie walks slowly towards the door, she looks back at us one more time before opening the door to reveal....
"Luke?" Julie says shocked as she widens the door.
"Hey Julie," He peaks around her and at me, "Ella, can we talk?"
I stand their completely shocked as he was the last person I planned on seeing tonight.
"Uh... sure." I say as he walks in, shoving his hands in his pockets.
And for one of the first times since I met him, I couldn't call him my best friend.
Because the guy standing in front of me... felt like a total stranger.
