《When We Crashed》Feeling Guilty

Luke's pov:
I roll my eyes in annoyance as Zander stares me down from across the kitchen table.
"What?" I almost let out a strangled cry as he just shakes his head and laughs.
"Nothing."
"Well it doesn't seem like nothing."
"Mhhhm" He mumbles and slams his soda can on the table.
This makes Ella look up from her conversation with Julie. They were talking on the other side of the kitchen.
Let me explain, after that whole, Jake taking Julie's cookie thing, Julie wanted to get to know Ella better.
So now they are having one of their 'girl talks' or whatever shit girls talk about.
Meanwhile, us boys are sitting at the kitchen table.
"I didn't say anything biatch, stop acting like I wrecked your car." Zander replies.
"Actually..." Ashton draws out.
"You did, remember asshole? We were going through the drive through and you saw a shirtless guy and ran into the sign."
At this, Zander puts his hands up, "What was I supposed to do? Not react? He had a six pack!"
"You do too!!" I argue back.
"Damn right." Zander lifts up his shirt and flexes.
"I can't believe you are going back to high school next month, that sucks ass." Jake says, eyeing the jar of cookies that were currently held close to Julie.
"Yeah I know." I roll my eyes, hating the topic already.
"Remember-.." Ashton starts to say but I cut him off.
"Yeah, Yeah. Stay close to Julie bla bla she's not allowed to talk to guys alone bla bla eat lunch with her with Damien bla bla-.."
"I mean it Luke." Ashton says sternly, which makes me nod my head.
"You forgot about Gianna, you know, my girlfriend?" Jake says.
"Yep." Them and their stupid over protectiveness.
Gianna seems to not mind one bit..
But Julie.....
"Ashton you better not be threatening people again." Julie comes over and rests her arms on his shoulders.
Ashton just looks up and gives her an innocent grin, "Of course not my love." He sings which makes her laugh and kiss his cheek.

"Boo!! Get a room!!" Jake complains throwing a chip at them.
We don't know where Jake pulls out random food from.
Everyone just finds it safe not to ask.
"Stop always ruining their moment!!!" Zander hisses, he then turns back to the couple, "please continue Jashton."
"Jashton?" This time, it was Ella's voice to ask.
Feeling bad, I almost forgot she was here.
She has just been so quiet.
Well, at least compared to these idiots, minus Julie.
"Their ship name." Zander lets out a cheeky grin as Ashton glares at him.
But Julie catches the glare and wraps her arms tighter around Ashton, "I like the name Zander, thank you." Julie says smiling as Ashton just groans.
"But it's-..."
Julie glares.
"-... a beautiful name that is just so perfectly named that anyone would want to know a name like this." He rushes.
"Someone is whipped." Jake smirks.
"Unlike Julie, I will actually beat the crap out of you with that spatula."
"Oh.. heh.. uh.. Ella! Tell us about yourself." Jake nervously laughs.
Hearing her name, I watch as she tucks a loose strand of hair behind her ear.
I can tell she always does that when she is nervous.
I did spend so much time with her at the hospital, you indeed learn a lot.
...
The hospital.
God I still feel like such an asshole, even if it feels like it happened so long ago.
I can't believe I gave Vicky a chance, she slapped me with a slice of pizza, and hell, I still kissed her at the hospital.
Even right in front of Ella.
The same girl who was willing to tell me the truth, instead I ignored her and even said awful things that if I could, I would take back in a heart beat.
I don't know if she still thinks about it.
But I do.
No matter what I say, or do, I just feel so guilty.
She already said she forgave me.. and yet.. I still feel like I owe it to her.
That's why I did, well, this.
Ella always complained about how she was forced to stay in the house because of her parents.

So, I came up with a yoga instructor and got her out of the house to meet the guys and Julie.
Well, Gianna was supposed to come too but she had to visit her older brother for a couple of days.
And we had to listen to all of Jake's complaints about it.
That was until Ashton bought brownies for Julie.
....
Jake ate them all.
So you can see why Julie was not giving Jake one of her cookies.
I suddenly jump back into the conversation to see Jake firing off yet another question.
But I know he was just trying to avoid Ashton as best as he can.
It was a do or die situation.
"What school do you go too?" Jake asks.
"I'm actually.. homeschooled." Ella says, kinda hesitant on her words.
"That must be so nice." Jake sighs dreamingly.
"You should have been homeschooled Jake, it would have saved us a couple of brain cells." Zander rolls his eyes.
At this, Jake stands up and tackles Zander to the ground.
"No guys!! Not the kitchen-... who am I kidding, they aren't going to listen anyways." Julie says in defeat.
"Are they always like this?" Ella tries to stifle a laugh as Jake gets close to pinning Zander to the ground.
"Yes." Damien mutters, his head was resting on his hand as he just looked in a daze.
"You okay bro?" Ashton asks.
"Yeah, I had to wake up early this morning to take my sister to dance." Damien half smiles, but also letting out a small yawn.
"Then what are you doing here sleepy head?" Julie laughs and goes around the table and lifts his head off of his hand.
"You're acting like my mom." Damien mutters laughing as Julie tries her best to pull Damien out of his seat, but he wouldn't budge.
At this, she looks at Ella, "girl power?"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Owwww!" Damien says laying on the ground as Ella and Julie high five.
"You could have broke my backkkk." Damien whines.
"I'm going to give you a broken back if you don't sleep, lay on the couch child." Julie pulls him off the ground and directs him to the couch.
Ella just smiles as she watches the scene unfold.
That is until I nudge her which makes her look at me.
The thing I think I like most about Ella.. is that she is different.
A lot of girls would be so spoiled if they were born into Ella's life.
But Ella, isn't spoiled.
"Yes?" She questions, but I am only able to let out a sheepish smile.
"I'm sorry, I have to take you back to your house." I say.
Her smile drops instantly, and into a one that pains me to even think about.
Just.. seeing her sad.... makes me upset.
"Is 'yoga' over?" She tries to laugh by making a joke, but it left quicker than it came.
"Well, we still have a class in three days? You know, if you are still up for yoga-.."
But next thing I know, I am being pulled into a hug.
The boys all went back into the living room so it was just me and her in the kitchen.
I am at first shocked by the hug, but when my senses come back, I hug her back.
"Thank you Luke, for showing me what it's like to... have friends."
She pulls away and I swear, I saw her quickly wipe away a tear.
She's goes into the living room to say her goodbye's, well, until next time.
~~~~~~~~
I pull up in front of the supermarket where Ella's butler was waiting by a car.
I look over at Ella to see her blankly looking outside her window.
"Are you okay?" I ask her.
She turns around and nods her head.
"Yeah." But I knew she was just saying that to make me feel better.
She opens the car door and gives me a small wave as she walks towards the butler.
But it was a moment like this where I realized...
I'm going to give Ella the teenage life she deserves.
Even if I have to bend a few laws to do so.

Love Of Baybur [Participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]
The Sultanate won a huge battle against their enemies of different religion, and now left them with only a piece of land surrounded by Sultanate's forces. Baybur, a yerliyya from a backwater place, is hailed as a hero after the war for his past contributions in a strange manner and is, thus, invited to a banquet prepared by the Sultan and attended by many Great Nobles. To Baybur, who had dreams of stepping on a higher stage in Sultanate's politics, and in his Orta's ranks, this is a chance for him to shine and rise. Yet he, and many in the banquet, knows that victory is far from over. And this presents a chance, with greater risk than before, to impress the Sultan and the Pashas of the Sultanate. Sanjak-beys and Aghas of the Janissary Corps all seek to devour their enemies, both in and out of the Sultanate. And Baybur, in the midst of this brewing storm, is no different from a fish dreaming to be a dragon. But a woman he meets at the banquet changes everything; his goals, his dreams, and his fate. After all, love, without expression, is a deadly curse. As a note, Cover is not mine obviosuly, and I write this both for NaNoWriMo and Writathon. To some history lovers and nerds who specialize in it, I know you might be angered quite a deal with some things I've written.(I get the feeling when someone talks wrong foolish things in a study I know, no hate) But this is a historical fiction written by a seventeen-year-old, don't expect much from me to know every single detail. Much of my research is surface level and some things are, well, to fit plot, are changed. So bear that in mind. For schedule/chapter thingt, there will be at most five chapters until I pass the 55.555 words mark. Each chapter will be around or above 10k+ words. It is also not edited, and probably won't be unless I find a great deal of time in my hands after November to see what I lack in where. That's all. Now go read, or leap to another fiction. Enjoy!
