《When We Crashed》Sooner Than Later

Ella's pov:

Excuse me while I just....

UGHHHHH

....

Now that it is out of the way...

I can't even begin to describe my misery.

But remember when I was like 'Yay supermarket!!'

Well, now I'm more like, 'Boo hell.'

Here, let me explain.

I have been in this supermarket for forty minutes, and what do I have?

Bread and eggs.

BREAD AND EGGS.

You know, out of the eighty something things I have to get.

I am telling you this, not because I am going insane...

Okay I am going insane..

But this place is just a total maze!!

Milk?

Where's the milk??

Sugar?

What?! Who?! Where?!

Tomato sauce?

Don't even get me started.

At first I wanted to be in here for as long as I can, but now I just want to drive a car through this building.

Yes, I am that annoyed.

After sighing for the hundredth time in the last five minutes, I close my eyes and lean back against the empty wall between the Oreos and the fruit.

That's right.

Oreos and Fruit.

Who in the world designed this place??

I mean, this makes it so if some person wants to be healthy, they have to walk past the Oreos to get to the fruit.

And who doesn't like Oreos?

I don't know why on the box they do the serving size by three Oreos.

Do you really think I'm going to open a box of Oreos and just eat three?

No way.

When I open it the whole box is basically gone.

The serving size should be by box, not by three little cookies.

While I am arguing about life, I here someone clear their throat.

I open my eyes to see..

"Luke?" I question as he smiles at me.

"The one and only."

"Woah, I didn't expect to see you so soon."

Like, I was expecting weeks, not days.

"No nice to see you? I missed you? Really Ella." His smile drops and he shakes his head.

While I on the other hand give his shoulder a light shove.

"You know I didn't mean it like that." I laugh.

"I think you should apologize."

"For what?"

"Hurting my feelings." He says, but I watch as he struggles to keep a smile off of his face.

"Fine, I'm sorry for pinching you."

"Thank you-... Wait what?"

And in the next second, I pinch his side.

"Ow!! What was that for?" He yells glaring at me.

But I only give him the most innocent face I could muster, "Oops, my hand just has a mind of its own sometimes."

"Sure it does." He mutters rubbing his side.

Then, his eyes skim over my hand to where the list that my mom gave me was.

"Need any help?" He laughs after looking that I only have eggs and milk in my cart.

"I mean, you don't have to-..."

"Shush!! You are acting just like my friend when she couldn't find her damn pickles."

"Pickles?" I laugh.

"It's true, but I am here a lot." He says and takes my cart and my list away from my hands and starts walking away.

I quickly follow behind him trying to keep up, "Why are you here so much? Don't your parents like hire someone to do it like my parents do?"

I mean, like I remember, his parents are just like my parents.

Abuse the power of money to fulfill their daily needs.

My mother would rather get her nails done than go to the supermarket any day.

"Well my mom has been in and out of a 'diet' for the past year so we usually have nothing good to eat at the house, so I come here a lot to get like a donut or something." He shrugs and finds the sugar and puts it in the cart.

"What do you mean in and out?"

"As in, she goes on a diet, then realizes she hates diets and eats whatever. Then she feels guilty and goes back on the so called diet. It's just a repeated cycle." He rolls his eyes and continues my job while I just follow behind him.

"Oh that sucks." I say while he just nods his head.

I watch as makes a quick left and BAM!

Pretty much like half of everything I needed was in these couple rows.

It's official, Luke has magic wizard powers.

I'm calling it.

"Going back a little, about this friend, your parents actually let you leave your house?"

So unfair by the way.

"And thankfully go to a normal highschool, no offense but your parents are crazy."

"Tell me about it."

"But does that make me your only friend?" Luke questions as he stops the cart and looks at me.

But at this, I look down, "Well... yeah." I say looking up at him.

For a second, he just stares at me, like he was thinking about something.

Which just makes me feel great by the way.

Cue the sarcasm.

Sure he is my only friend.

But... it's weird when you have to admit it to someone else.

I am basically saying 'Hey just letting you know I am lonely.'

"Well, I'm about to change that." He says.

Shock covers my face, "What do you mean?"

"Tomorrow, meet here, I want you to meet some of my friends." He smiles.

But soon after, he frowns when I show no emotion.

"I'm sorry I can't." I force myself to say.

"What, why?"

"You know my parents, do you really think they will let me leave my house?"

"But... oh." He sighs, "I'm really sorry."

But I only shake my head at him, "No, don't be sorry, there is nothing you can do anyways."

I try to smile but I think he could tell that it was fake.

We stand in silence for a couple of seconds, well, until I decide to break it.

"Should we.." I point to the cart and he hesitantly nods his head.

Way to make the conversation awkward Ella.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I arrive back at the house where two of the maids help me put the groceries away.
After the whole, talk, Luke helped me find everything on the list and then we departed ways.
Just letting you know, yes, it got awkwarder by the second.
Especially since we didn't really know what to say to one another.
I usually avoided eye contact while he just looked like he was in a trance.
Once the groceries are put away, I walk back to my moms office to find that she was still in the same spot.
"Your back sooner than I thought you would be." She says as I give her back her car keys and her credit card.
But I only nod my head, "I had a little help."
She only nods and starts to write on one of the papers.
I start to exit when her voice stops me.
"Oh by the way, I got an email today, they said they were your...yoga instructor?" She questions.
But I only look at her in confusion.. "But I-.."
"Maybe your dad decided to sign you up and forget to tell me, you know how he is."
Yoga?
I don't want to do yoga.
"You are meeting tomorrow, not here, I still have to get an address, I think the butler could drop you off."
I nod my head, fighting myself to not walk up to the wall and repeatedly bang my head against it.
Seriously, yoga?
Trust me, I tried yoga before in my room...
You know..
No social life remember?
Anyways...
Let's just say.... it did not go well..
At all.
Before I get the chance to leave, she says one more thing that sparks my interest.
"Oh and get this, he has his own username attached to the email which is ILikeBoxing123456789 how weird is that?"
That is strange... isn't it?
