"OHMYGOD IT'S REALLY YOU!!" Danny's voice dragged you from your sleep, met by an unfamiliar one. Was someone in your house?! "The REAL Freddy Krueger? Can I have your autograph?"

"No, fuck off!" the voice that retorted did not belong to Freddy. You were on your feet in seconds, frantically throwing on some day-clothes and racing towards the stairs, taking them two at a time, losing your footing and tumbling down the last three. You landed sloppily, barely catching yourself and stumbling a few steps directly into Jason's back. The forest man jumped, whipping around and helping you to stand again.

"Sorry, Jason." you apologized quickly, slipping directly past him and into the kitchen. "Danny? Who's-" Danny was suddenly shoved viciously from the dining room, colliding hard into the island chairs and knocking them over as he fell too. "What the hell is going on here?" Danny leaped from the floor, limping on his bad leg. Was it reopened?

"It's Freddy! Actual Freddy!" his voice was a borderline squeal and he held a notepad and a pen. You turned to where he was pointing, and sure enough, Freddy was there, fedora-and all with the world's most annoyed scowl. "Autograph time!" Danny began to chant, pumping his fists as he did.

"Fuck no it isn't autograph time you-" Freddy paused as he spotted you, his scowl turning into a smile. "Nice to see you awake, Sweetheart!" he completely discarded Danny, gaze settled on you and only you.

"What? Sweetheart? That's my nickname for her!" Danny cut in as Freddy took a few steps towards you. The Ghostface intercepted Freddy before he could reach you, leaning on his good leg and leaving a bloodied footprint with his left.

"Get the hell out of my way you-"

"Enough!" I shout at last, stepping around Danny and placing my hands on my hips with a frown. "Not a good first impression, Freddy! And Danny, didn't I say to get along with him?"

"I wanted to get along with him! It's not my fault he attacked me, I only wanted an autograph!" I turn my back to Freddy and kneel, pulling up the leg of Danny's pants to check his wounds. Sure enough, the bandages are covered in fresh blood and you're sure the stitches split.

"Where's Michael, he has to redo these stitches." you stand again, fixing the chairs and grabbing Danny's shoulders to force him to sit down. Michael entered the room just as you spoke, barging in through the back door and stopping cold at the sight of Freddy. You could hear him growl before forcing his way between Freddy and you guys. "Michael, it's okay. I'm sure you know Freddy's staying with us now?"

"You got a whole hostile load of idiots, huh?" Freddy's voice wasn't deep or demonic like it was in his Dream World. Michael growls again at his words, and you can tell he'll most likely attack Freddy but Jason saves the day, wrapping a big hand around Michael's arm and tugging him harshly backwards, strong enough to make the indestructible man stumble and almost fall.

"You're that momma's boy, Jason Voorhes aren't ya?" Freddy raised his glove, shifting the blades around so they scraped against each other. "And you're that knife wielding buffoon Myers, but there should be one more of you."

"Brahms is in the walls right now, and I don't think he's coming out to meet you anytime soon." Danny huffs, crossing his arms.

"Don't start again!" you cut in before Freddy can rebuke, and you turn to Michael, still busy delivering death glares at Freddy. "Michael, I need you to take a look at Danny's leg. He got the stitches all wrecked." you stepped away and Michael replaced you, wrapping his hand around Danny's ankle and testing each stitch. With each tap or tug Danny let out a yelp, the wound tender once more. Freddy chuckled at each pained sound Danny made and you let out a sigh, turning to the kitchen instead. Might as well whip up some quick breakfast, right? You got out the supplies to make scrambled eggs and bacon, your special bacon to hopefully brighten Danny's sour mood. Halfway through cracking the eggs Michael pulled out his notepad and scribbled you a note.

'' you nodded your head and Michael returned to Danny who grabbed the notepad and tried to decipher the writing.

"Does this say I'm gonna die? What is this first word? 'Murder'? Are you gonna kill me?" he began to ramble, but no one responded. Freddy hopped into a seat at the island, Jason still motionless at the door watching Michael patch up Danny.

"Is this Ghost-fuck always so annoying?" Freddy mumbled, tapping his blades on the counter. The sound was slightly more pleasant than on wood, but Michael found it distracting. The behemoth stood, glared at Freddy, and when he didn't stop, slapped his gloved hand viciously and with enough force to chip the counter. "Ow! The hell was that for?!" Freddy hissed, holding his hand to his chest and leaping from his seat. Michael pointed down at Danny, who huffed and settled his chin on his hands. "I don't read palms, asshat! Spit it out!" Freddy spat again. Michael grabbed the notepad, scribbling furiously. Freddy read it aloud, much to your convenience, "Must concentrate. Shut the fuck up- Rude!" Freddy dropped the notepad on the ground, and as Michael knelt down to pick it up like a responsible adult, Freddy kneed him in the face.

Everything else happened in a flash; Freddy wasn't in his dream world. To Michael he was just some little man with mild strength and some sharp fingers, but he was reduced to just a little man as Michael had one hand on his throat, the other on the wrist with his gloves, slamming him violently against the wall.

"Hey, hey, enough of this already!" you ditched your spot at the stove and rushed to Michael and Freddy, grabbing Michael's arm and tugging as hard as you could. It didn't shift from your tugging but Michael's own will as his fingers went slack and dropped Freddy to the floor. The newcomer landed neatly, sliding out from the place between Michael and the wall.

"Keep your filthy hands off of me!" he growled, though he refrained from saying anything else upon spotting your withering glare.

"I'm trying to make you all breakfast. I'd like some peace and quiet." it's hard to get the words out in a low, calm tone but you somehow manage to do it. Michael nods his head, readjusting his mask after the knee to the face. "Are you both okay? No bloody nose or broken neck?" Michael shook his head and returned to Danny, radiating annoyance and anger.

"I'm just fine, Kitten. Thanks for worrying~" Freddy coos, sauntering past you and back onto his chair, ceasing his thrumming blades.

"Good. We have all of that sorted out?" you return to the food and continue to cook.

"(Y/N)?" a small voice catches your attention as Brahms creeps into the room, gaze settled on you with a light tilt to your head.

"Good morning, Brahms. Sorry if we woke you, Freddy's having a tough time settling in." you chuckle as you speak. A tough time was a bit of an understatement.

"Are you okay?" that child's voice is almost cute now that you've grown used to it, and soon Brahms is at your side, offering to help cook.

"I'm just fine, thank you for asking." you gratefully hand him the spatula to shift the eggs around as you move the bacon onto a plate covered with a paper towel, meant to soak up the grease.

"Creepy voice. Sheesh, no wonder you're scared of him." Brahms flinches at Freddy's words, turning to you as if looking for a sign that you really were scared of him. You shake your head.

"I'm not scared of him, not anymore," you grab the plate of bacon and evenly divide the strips onto different plates, leaving them there for Brahms to distribute the eggs, then turn to Freddy. "You need to stop being hostile or else you'll only make enemies of these guys." your hands find your hips again and you frown, "I really hate to have to lecture you so soon to your arrival but it'll only be miserable for us all if you don't calm the hell down and-" Freddy hops from his chair and skirts around the counter to you in a split second. He grips tightly to your shoulder and raises his bladed hand, prepped to slash. Brahms is there just in time, stopping Freddy's hand inches from your face and easily being overpowered as Jason cuts in too, pulling Freddy away. Angry at having been overpowered twice, Freddy slashes at Jason and Brahms, getting them to back away out of his personal bubble. "You're not in your dream world, Freddy. You can't push people around and you listen to me now." your arms cross. Freddy mumbles something under his breath and turns to Brahms.

"Get my shitty eggs and let me fuck outta here." he demands, but Brahms doesn't move as a simple act of defiance.

"The respect has to start on someone's side first. Just get him his eggs. He needs to cool off," you correct yourself, "We all need to cool off."

Brahms nods, scraping some eggs onto Freddy's plate and picking it up, bringing it to him. The Dream Demon snatched the plate away violently and retreated upstairs to the room assigned to him.

"What a stick in the mud. I was so excited." Danny mumbled, "The only thing that can heal my broken heart is this bacon." he reached for a piece and Brahms nudged his hand away with a shake of his head.

"Wait! Don't be impolite!" he points a lecturing finger then continues to distribute the eggs. Danny held his hands up defensively then let out a startled gasp, head snapping down to his leg as a needle was threading through it.

"How many stitches snapped?" you asked, hurrying to Danny's side. He took your hand and hugged it to his chest, bending your arm at an odd uncomfortable agle but you let him. Michael finished threading a stitch then held up his hand with all fingers extended, '5'. You let out a 'tch' and stay with Danny as he whimpers and whines like a kicked puppy. You don't blame him. His low pain tolerance, tender wounds and the fact that he was fully conscious would join together into true, undeniable pain. Brahms seemed to notice his turmoil and hurried with the eggs, sliding a plate to his friend in despair.

"Thanks, Brahmsy." Danny says through gritted teeth. Jason takes a few cautious steps towards you, Danny and Michael, examining the wound. He then pointed to the nasty cuts, then to himself as he lowers his head, a clear apology. "Don't feel bad, Jason. My fault for not- for not being observant." he let out a shaky breath as the needle was tied off and another stitch was done; three more to go. The last three stitches went by quickly, and soon Danny's leg was cleaned and bandaged again and everyone could eat. "Those traps really do hurt like a bitch, huh?" Danny sighed, spinning in his chair to better face the table and his food.

You and Danny chattered back and forth, Brahms disappearing into the walls, Michael and Jason hiding away to eat maskless.

"So what're you up to today Honey?" Danny asked as the pain in his leg faded into a dull throb and he was able to function normally again.

"I have to go into town and pick up some more groceries. Supporting 5 grown men and myself proves to be... difficult, and we whip through food fast." you chuckle, "It'll be a pain shopping for us all. I should also probably get you all some new clothing."

"Why don't I tag along? I've got one super memory and I just happen to have perfectly guessed everyone's clothing sizes the moment they arrived." you can sense he would have winked at the end of that sentence, meaning he had snooped through all of their things.

"In that costume? Not a chance." you laugh, rolling your eyes. Danny shrugged.

"Who said I had to go in costume?" you almost didn't believe what you were hearing nor seeing as he flipped his leather hood back, showing off short black hair, and without hesitation slipped his mask from his face.

You sat, stunned, jaw hanging open as you took in his features. He really took it off just like that? He had amber, almost even yellow eyes and fluffy black hair that was a little messy, along with stubble on his chin and a scar across the bridge of his nose. His white teeth showed through his smile, and he held the bottom of his mask to his mouth before he spoke,

"Like what you see Sweetheart?" he teased, snapping you out of your stupor with a raise of a well-kept eyebrow. You nodded, and then shook your head, and then covered your face with your hands in embarrassment. "What a clear answer." Danny laughed, still speaking through his voice changer. What did his undistorted voice sound like? You needed to know. You pull your hands away and smile, and he drops the mask on the counter to return the expression. He was the definition of handsome and he knew it.

"You look..." you had to pause, smiling and looking away.

"I got you all flustered, huh Honey?" his voice, undistorted, was smooth as the nickname he called and like music to your ears. Much better than the grainy distortion his voice changer created. You can't believe he just... took off his mask in a heartbeat. "Does this mean I can come into town with you?"

"A-As long as you don't attack anyone!" you joked, glad he didn't tease you any further. He hopped from his seat and untied the belt holding his jacket closed, shedding it and leaving it on a pile on the floor, mask tossed on top. Underneath he wore a black long-sleeved shirt and his dark grey sweats, though they were covered in blood. "You can't wear those to the store, Danny." you point out, and he glances down at the obvious bloodstain with a confused look.

"Why not?" he asks, then he nods in realization, "Ah, right, normality. I'll be right back then." he hurries away, limping up the stairs and you watch as he leaves, then turn your head to look at his discarded mask. You gawk at it, still not believing that he'd shown you his face just like that. Michael, Jason and Brahms would not be like that. Right?

Your thoughts are broken up as Danny comes rushing back down the stairs in a new outfit; this time it's a dark grey plaid button-up and black jeans with his usual black combat boots. He fixed up his hair a little too, so now it was combed and parted down the middle, a little more tidy then before, but not much.

"Ready to go, then?" you ask, grabbing your phone and wallet from the living room as you passed by, slipping into your sneakers, glad you'd changed earlier already.

"You betcha. It'll be weird... being normal. I hope no one asks for my name or recognizes me. 'Jed' isn't exactly a good guy." he doesn't look nervous, more slightly unsettled yet excited all at once. "I usually just steal food, but I guess if you want to be a little angel I'll give you a hand." you reach for your keys but he dives and snatches them up first, "I'll drive, Sweets." he leads the way to the car and you smile.

"What a gentleman." you tease back, and he bows in a curtsy.

"That's a girls bow, you know." you giggle, and he smiles at you.

"Of course I know. I'm the best at breaking gender roles, no sexism here." he opens the passenger door to the car for you and you settle inside before he hops in the drivers side and starts the car. "To the grocery store!" he shouts, but not before clicking on the radio and skipping to his favourite song; Dancing Queen by Abba just like that night when you met Jason.
