We all fell asleep around midnight, and an hour and a half later I abruptly woken up because of some unknown fear, and was even a little sweaty. My friend was sleeping, as well as the child. I lay down for a bit, and was about to close my eyes when I saw that curtains moved. The windows were shut, there couldn't have been any wind or draft, it was November ...
Then I felt a terrible cold, I pulled my head under the blanket and heard footsteps. I was scared to death, afraid to move. In my mind I started praying. Suddenly the child screamed, "Dad, where are you going?.."
When I jumped up and turned the lights on, he said that his dad had approached him and patted him on the head, as he'd always done before going to bed ... I was shocked ...

Additionally, given how this is essentially a story version of a Tabletop game there is also a background RPG system that while the characters aren't necessarily aware of, the readers can see these stats to know how each chosen 'Action' effects their character's development.
