Real Life
"Have fun with your parents babe," I told Brendon, who was home visiting his parents and siblings in Las Vegas.
"I will Cam. I got to go now. Bye baby," he said and ended the facetime call. My phone was at 12%, so I plugged it in and turned on the tv, switching it to Netflix. Brendon and I had started watching Marvel's Daredevil together, but I wasn't going to watch it without him, meaning I had to find something else to watch.
I was just about to click onto Grey's Anatomy when the doorbell rang, signaling someone was here. Everyone who would come over was away, leaving me with no idea who it was.
I go to open the door, just to see that it's Aella, Maverick, and Tom. "Hey guys! Come on in! Sorry, my apartment is a bit of a mess," I tell them and move aside so they can come in. "What's up?"
"I know this may be a little last minute, but could Maverick and I stay here for a few days while we furnish the apartment?" Aella aska me. "If not, that's totally fine too."
"No, of course you can! Would you guys like anything to drink or something?"
"I actually have to head off to the airport. I was just making sure that they got here safely," Tom says, turning to his girlfriend.
"Maverick, let's go to the living room so they can have a minute. Bye Tom," I say and lead Maverick to the living room.
"Bye Tom!" Maverick shouts, giving him a hug before following me.
"How are you liking LA so far?" I ask the boy, who was looking around the room.
"It's really nice here! Tom took us to Disneyland yesterday and the day before, which made Aella have a full on freak out," he told me while laughing.

"I did not have a freak out! I was just excited that I got to go. You're the one who had a freak out when you saw that most of the food there was Mickey Mouse shaped!"
"I did not!"
"You took fifty million Instagram pictures of the Groot bread alone," she said, and he stopped talking. "Ha, you can't deny it. Mainly because you used my phone for most of them."
"You can stop talking now," he tells her, and she looks at him with a death glare.
"I hope you two know I love your relationship," I point out, wishing I got that on video.
"At least someone does," Maverick says, and Aella glares at him again.
"One more comment like that and you will stay here while the Chris's help me assemble furniture tomorrow," she threatens, and he stops talking again.
"Alright, shutting up now."
"What do you guys want to do for dinner?"
"Chick-fil-a!" Maverick shouts, which causes my to laugh and Aella to roll her eyes.
"Since we've been here he's gotten an obsession with Chick-fil-a," Aella tells me, and I nod in understanding. "But if that's what you want, I guess that I'm fine with it. What about you Camari?"
"Aella, we've been over this; call me Cam. It's like if I were to call you Aella-Grace all the time," I tell her, and she nods. "Chick-fil-a is fine with me. What do you guys want, I'll Postmates it?"
They tell me what they want, and I order it. The food should be delivered in about a half hour, so we start to decide on something to watch.
"Can we watch Infinity War?" Maverick asks.
"That hasn't been released yet, but when it is I'll get it for you." I tell him, which makes him smile.
"You don't have to do that Cam," Aella tries to tell me, but I ignore her.
"What else do you want to watch? Probably best that it's something that's already been released."
"Avengers!" Maverick says, and Aella rolls her eyes at him. I have that one, so I get up and put the DVD in. We spent the rest of the night watching Marvel movies and getting to know each other better.

Fated To Fall: A Transmigrator LitRPG Tale
She had welcomed Death with open arms, and was more than happy to spend her afterlife floating in the void. Until a Goddess decides she has better plans for her and offers her a choice any fantasy loving geek would die for. However after accepting the offer she learned the hard way that one should always read the fine print, especially when dealing with a God. Now she's been dropped into the world that inspired her favorite game. Except the body she now inhabits is that of the final boss of the game, only 8 years before she comes into her cataclysmic powers. She now has to avoid the machinations of a family that at best wants nothing to do with her and at worst wants her dead. Avoid any and all Heroes with a proclivity for decapitation, complete a Goddess's vague Quest to save the fate of the world, tame every cute magical beast she can get her hands on. Oh and probably find a way to smack said Goddess who thought putting her in the body of the character with the worst Tragic Backstory™ was a good idea. Liliana Rosengarde might be Fated to Fall but this little bird just found her wings and won't be hitting the ground anytime soon. [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Tags that fit this story that aren't options: Slow Burn, if you don't like slow stories that build to action very slowly this isn't the novel for you. 8 256Meet Me in Another World: For You
Five years have gone by since Michael last opened Lunar Masquerade, an MMORPG where you don’t choose a class, a calling chooses you. Yet, here he is, awake inside the game, naked in a circle of arcane symbols. Summoned. But, when he finds that the one to summon him is no other than his fiancée’s character, Selrah, it soon dawns on him that they may have left the game, but the game continued without them. No longer Michael, but Mythril, and a few quests and a raid later, he is on the run. His summoning no accident, he must flee the very person he thought he could rely upon, not to mention an ego-maniac of a guild leader, and a forlorn ostrich named Audreg. His calling changing to one thought only of legend, his companions a womanizing bard and a noxiri too fond of daggers, Mythril must regain his strength and reach the Feylands, before another calls upon the ancients leading the world into destruction once again.
8 122"Elves of the Northern Vale" A Tundrawolf Story
As happened many times in the past the Fell Ice once again charged down from the north and attacked the world in its effort to turn it into a frozen ball of ice. Only the White Magic and it's ally the Sun could stand against such a vast enemy. From their home in the Valley of the Sun the great tribe of Elves could only watch as the monumental fight unfolded. As the battle intensified and the valley became threatened the tribe separated back into their four original tribes and each made their way back to their ancestral homes. Within their Vales, behind thick stone walls and under powerful domes of magic, they were protected from the onslaught upon the earth. The Elves watched for thousands upon thousands of turns as the war raged overhead. The Fell Ice against the Sun and the White Magic were locked in a struggle lasting for an age, with neither side claiming victory as the earth was ravaged. In time the Fell Ice retreated, as it had so many times in the past. Beaten, yet not defeated, only biding it's time for the next attack. It returned to its frozen Kingdom at the Top of the World, thus ending this last Age of Ice. This time, as the earth warmed around them, the Elves remained secluded from the world in their hidden Vales. They observed from afar life returning to the lands and took stock of man becoming the dominant ones as their numbers grew and spread. As the Elves watched they felt safe and secure in their Vale strongholds. They had no idea of the danger that was about to befall them. This is a stand-alone sequel to my story "Druids Bane".
