The prompt is: "How is my wife more badass than me?".
Warnings: nonconsent flirtation, mentions of violence
You were happily married to Aethelred.
You had met him at a club, a friend of yours had brought him along because he was his roommate, and you had fallen for him the second you had first laid eyes on him.
You had both been more than just a little tipsy and the next morning you had awoken with his naked arms around you in your apartment.
You had cursed your friends for not keeping you away from the shots, but when he had asked for your number you had given it to him, not even remembering his name.
You went out on a few dates, which had turned into a stable relationship.
You had moved into an apartment you had chosen together after about nine months, and he had proposed to you one and a half years later, during a romantic walk that had been disguised as a simple date.
You had been overjoyed and had said yes immediately, and the both of you had shed a tear or two.
Your relationship was unique to you, the past relationships you had been in had never been as loving and trusting as Aethelred was, and you didn't fight too often.
Your friends always jokingly called you the 'power couple' of the group, a nickname that made you and Aethelred proud and that made you want to strengthen your bond further.
You loved and admired each other, and didn't even shed a look at strangers that tried to flirt with one of you.
You were in perfect harmony with each other aside from the occasional small quarrels, but that was normal in every relationship.
The wedding really was beautiful, it was a warm spring day, and you hadn't been the slightest bit nervous, because you had known that marrying Aethelred was the right choice to make.

Your family had been ecstatic and even his mother, who you had learned didn't care much at all about her firstborn, had run around as if Aethelred was her all time favorite son.
The honeymoon afterwards had been perfect as well, Aethelred had taken you to Iceland, which had been unusual but you had loved every second of it.
You had visited the beautiful nature, glaciers, waterfalls, the beach and the northern lights, and though it had been cold you knew the perfect way to warm up in the evenings.
When you came back your friends welcomed you at the airport and you decided to invite them for a night of drinks and dancing at the bar you and Aethelred had met, as a thank you.
When you got there, dressed up like always when you went out to a club you were greeted by your friends who embraced you pulling you with them to get some drinks.
You moved in to get your third beer when you felt someone's hands on your buttocks, and you were entirely sure they weren't Aethelred's.
When you turned around you saw a man in a suit around your age, hair slicked back and emitting a rich but desperate energy.
"You're fucking gorgeous", you heard the guy murmur as he moved forward so he was uncomfortably close to you, until you pushed him away slightly.
"Oh come on, baby, don't be shy. Let's go to my place where we can have some fun, just the two of us", he slurred and just as he tried to move back towards you Aethelred was by your side, wrapping his arm protectively around your waist.
"Get your hands off my wife", Aethelred threatened, his voice in a dangerously low growl, which you had never heard before.
The stranger laughed, showing just how drunk he was.

"You her guy, then? No wonder she looks so desperate. Know what, I'll help you out and show her a good time, and afterwards I'll give her back to you all satisfied", he grinned and Aethelred glanced at you, anger visible in his face.
"How dare you talk about her like that?! Get the fuck out of here!", Aethelred shouted and a crowd of spectators started to form around you.
Your anger rose further when the guy's grin only grew, and you threw your fist into his face without flinching, hearing the crack of his nose breaking as he feel back onto the floor, shouting profanities.
You turned around to grab your drink, downing it up to the last drop before setting it back down on the table, still angry and your fist starting to hurt.
The people were staring at you, especially Aethelred who looked at you in awe.
"How is my wife more badass than me?", you heard him whisper, making you chuckle and lean in to kiss him.
