《VIKING PRINCESS》Chapter Thirty-Three

Halfdan and Grace had a walk the night before the battle. They talked about what they wanted for themselves. They had agreed to living together in a house in woods. They could both still fight but have a place to call theirs.
She was over the moon with excitement as she loved him. "Can you get on the horse?" He asked with a laugh as she had difficulty getting up.
"Of course I can." She said proudly and tried again but soon sighed and shook her head. "Could you help?" She asked but before she could finish he walked over to help her. He pushed her legs up and over the horse.
"Is it your first time on a horse?" "Of course—" she was cut off by him giving her a look and she sulked her shoulders. He tapped her thigh as Bjorn was already on his horse. "Well go on." She said hitting his shoulder and he walked and jumped onto his horse.
Her horse was following him along the trial they had to take. At times he would look back towards her and she would give him a big smile. As they were soon faced with the other group and she looked toward her twin.
Hvitserks eyes betrayed his look as he was sad to go against his sister. Her horse stood between Bjorn and Halfdan. "This is not right. It is not right for the sons and daughter of Ragnar should try and slaughter each other. We will send emissaries." "I agree."
Halfdan gave Grace a last smile before riding off with Bjorn. She moved her horse to stand next to Ubbe who gave her a halfhearted pat on the back.
Hvitserk then rode toward them and she gave him a weak smile. As he got off his horse she ran up to him. She engulfed him into a tight embrace as he smiled. "I have missed you more than words." "I have missed you more than you missed me." He said but she pulled away and hit him on the chest.

They all sat around a table and she sat next to Hvitserk. "How is Ivar?" She sighed at Ubbes words but still looked toward Hvitserk for an answer. "He is Ivar." "It's a pity you jumped ship. I will never understand." "No, you wouldn't."
Grace shook her head and took a sip from her cup. "No doubt you regret it now, though." "No. What's the point of regret?" Grace stood and walked over to Ubbe who leaned against a pole. "I saw a figure amongst your leaders. The Saxon we met in Aethelwulf's camp, Bishop Heahmund. Why is he here?"
"Ivar captured him in battle. He is a great, great warrior. You would do well to stay out of his way." Grace scoffed and Bjorn turned slightly. "He would do well to stay out of my way." Lagertha walked over and sat on the table.
"We want to find a way of avoiding needless slaughter. Please help us, Hvitserk." Grace walked over toward her tent and sat on the bed and put her hair into a braid. She couldn't do her hair as best her mother could but she tried.
"We are meeting." Ubbe said opening the tent to see her finishing her hair. She nodded to him and Ubbe gave her a smile and opened the tent more. Halfdan walked in and Grace stood quick.
"Did he try anything?" She asked while placing a hand on his cheek. Ubbe had since left not wanting to see them kiss. Halfdan gave her a kiss and put an arm in front of her. "Let's get to the meeting, Princess."
She nods and the smile slips from her face as they walk out of the tent and to their horses. He helps her up to hers and gets to his as they make their way to the meeting.
