《Vikings, Mini Drabbles》Halfdan: The struggle around pregancy

You leaned against the doorframe, gazing over the people walking fort and back, busy with their lives, not caring about the things that happened around them. It was like they all were sucked in their own tiny world, little like you felt recently. He wasn't there when you waked up, he wasn't there when you went to sleep. You understood him, he was the brother of a king .... But you were his wife and you were pregnant, he didn't even noticed the changes you went through. Your eyes trailed up to Halfdan. He swallowed his piece of bread and walked past you into the house. You looked over your shoulder how he grabbed his belt and weapons. When he passed you again you couldn't hold back. 'I'm here you know.' You started, causing him to freeze in the middle of his way back to his brother.
'I see that.' He pointed his sword to the place you stood.
'Halfdan,' you signed.
'I don't have the time.' He interrupted you.
'Then make some!' You reacted out. He opened his mouth but you putted your finger up. 'I hate this, I feel unloved, used, you hardly are around, not looking at me. How do I need to live with that?' You asked him angry. He just looked at you, not even have the descent to try denying it.
'Do I not please you?' He asked, using your own words against you. You clenched your teeth, losing your patience over it.
'Go to your brother, he can give you more than I ever will.' You shouted, walking away from the house. Your sister was looking from not far off, shifting her gaze towards your husband, the husbands that didn't loved you.
For some reason the lake pulled you always back. You looked at your own reflexion before you laid down. You laid your hand on your stomach, looking up to the green leaves dancing on top of the trees. 'I will love you.' You whispered, talking to the little life that grow inside of you. Time had passed when you heard the crack of a branch. And when you looked aside he was standing there aside a tree. 'You're pregnant.' He began. You looked away from Halfdan, looking back up to the sky. 'Y/n?'

'Who told you?' You asked.
'Your sister.' Offcourse she did. You ignored him until he stood beside you. 'Y/n,'
'Now you are making up to me, because I'm pregnant?' You snapped his words right off. He threw his belt with weapons a little further and sat down beside you.
'It isn't easy to be the brother of a king.' He began.
'It isn't easy to have a husband that is a brother of a king.' You replied rather fast. He shook his head, turning around on his stomach. You looked to his face, admiring all the details you loved about that face.
'I'll change.'
'If it is a son you need to learn him to become a man, if it is a daughter you need to protect her. Both need a father.'
'And a father I will be.' He followed. You saw the regret in his eyes and you nodded, looking away. He laid his hand against your cheek, pulling your gaze right back. 'Forgive me?' He asked.
'No.' You muttered.
'Can I make it up?' He followed.
'Yes, always.' You caved. He lowered his lips on yours and you stroke the hair between your fingers out of your face.
'I'm sorry.'
'Sush.' You demanded, enjoying this kiss for it was to long ago you felt this way.

Starchild
“It’s life’s illusions I recall. I really don’t know life at all.” from the song, Both Sides Now, by Joni Mitchell Starchild is an adventure novel set within an understanding of reality that is rooted in Eastern spiritual traditions. It takes as its starting point experiments in remote viewing that were genuinely undertaken by the American military in the nineteen-nineties under the name of the Stargate Project. It then imagines how a more advanced attempt to weaponise the capabilities of consciousness might have been developed in the present day.The story then explores how Ultimate Reality might respond to such a threat.Deep, elemental forces thus bring together Samantha Martin and Sahadeva Varma, old colleagues from the Stargate Project, to avert the apocalyptic consequences of this military attempt to weaponise consciousness. This fast-paced story spans genres including romance, action, adventure, science fiction and more. Although this story is based on concepts drawn from established spiritual traditions, these have sometimes been extrapolated to the point of very extreme speculation for the needs of an adventure story.Much of the underlying philosophy, however, as explained in the dharma talks given by Samantha Martin, is paraphrased from the guidance of respected spiritual teachers. Scheduling: Starchild is a previously unpublished novel of one hundred thousand words which was serialised in weekly instalments over twenty-five weeks from 15th November 2021 to the 29th April 2022. Each instalment contains five chapters – an average of approximately four thousand words in each instalment.
