Across the sea, the sons of Ragnar have made it to England along with a great army, larger than anyone has every seen. The camps were set up and everyone was preparing for battle, but they needed a plan.

I am here, a place where my mother has never been. This is where I will make a name for myself. Bjorn is the leader, but Ivar creates many of the plans, and has decided to mess with their heads, making us seem small, but then more people keep coming up, making our masses grow. Halfdan places an arm around my shoulder as he starts walking in front of everyone. "Today Geir you are Viking." Then we hear Bjorn yell and we start running towards them.

The victory was easy. As we capture the king, Halfdan grabs my head and shakes it around. We then scream at each other, loving the feeling of victory. I see Halfdan look down at my sword. "It was my mother's" We then start walking to where the king is to find out where they Killed Ragnar. Along the way, Harald complained about his "princess". I starred at him the entire time. Harald then looks me in the eyes. "Geir never fall in love, women are too complicated."

We walk to a pit that was covered in leaves. Bjorn then announced we will kill King Aelle here. As we start walking, something felt off. Way off.

The walls outside kattegate were being built. Torvi and Astrid stood watch, while Lagertha was working with her people. I saw Torvi looking at me. We smiled at each other, when I decided to walk over to her. "Alca, you look like you have seen the gods." I wrap my arms around my stomach, feeling my bones, but there was a small bump. "And what if I have. I have been granted a gift.I am late Torvi." She pulls me into a hug and we start laughing together.

"That is great news, have you told Lagertha?" The wind starting picking up. I look at her face and see a smile, but when I look into her eyes, I see pity. Her eyeing me up and down. "How could I, she is working all day." "I am glad I am the first to know. Will you at least tell Halfdan this time?" A smirk forms on my face as I walk into the town following Lagertha. "You are very funny Torvi, see you later."

As I walk to the town, I feel many eyes watching not only me, but everyone else. My breathing picked up, something wasn't right.

little did I know Harald and Halfdan made a deal with Egil to get Kattegat. The only rule was not to hurt me, but in secret Harald told Egil "If you kill the snake, you be no longer called a bastard, but a king of the gods." Egil knew Alca can't fight anymore. he would plan his attack to see the defense in Kattegat. It just so happens that Alca is in the middle of the town. It is finally his time to be more.

It was suppose to be a normal day. I knew it wasn't though. People usually don't watch so carefully. From where I am standing you can see the docks. There ships were coming. It is a trading place, but there were too many men. I have to tell Lagertha I move to left about to run when a chilling wind flew by my head. My ear started to hurt. I touched it feeling the warm blood drip down. I look towards the right to see an arrow poking out of the ground. If I didn't move that arrow would have killed me.

I have to run now, arrows were flying at people, killing them. As I run around a building, I see a dead man with a shield. I grab it, using it to deflect the arrows that are aimed at me. The men came off the ships and I was by myself. I have no idea where Lagertha or Torvi is. Without even realizing it I was surrounded. The men look wicked. Smiles all over there faces, blood covering them.

"You must be her. Small, weak, fragile looking. Still it's going to be fun killing you. Wish we could have some fun first, but we got a lot of things to take care of." They start closing in. It's over. More people start coming, but I can't see them. I close my eyes and settle my breathing.

"Fight Midgard Serpent"

I open my eyes. No emotions were anywhere. I can't feel anything, except for one thing. Anger.

I throw my shield at the guy in front of me. He drops his swords and while recovering, I drop onto one of my knees and pick up the sword, slicing his knees. I then spin around and stand up. All the men around me stop moving. An evil smile forms on my lips. I haven't felt like this in a long time. One of the men runs towards me, but I dodge and slice his back open. They keep coming, but I keep killing them. A giant fire then lights up and many men are running away down to the docks or into the forest.

One man is in front of me, begging for mercy. In that second I slice off his head. Blood spraying over my face. I lick my lips enjoying this moment, but then the fire went away.

"Alca!"

I look to the right and see Lagertha there. Egil is on the ground, being tied up and taken. She looks at me knowing what just happen. She walks slowing towards me. I couldn't move or talk but I felt very nauseous. Lagertha grabs the sword from my hand very gently. When the sword was out of my grip, my whole body became weak. Then it came up. I fell to the ground throwing up blood.

Lagertha placed her hand on shoulder, " What is your next move Alca?"

I look up towards her. I couldn't help, but laugh. I don't know why. I started laughing so much. I started to sound and look crazy, but I couldn't stop. She helps me stand up and while I did she looked down at my legs. I couldn't feel the pain, but I saw the blood running down my legs.

"You were with child and yet you picked up the sword?"

I pushed her away from me, making it really hard to walk. "Alca answer the question."

"The gods called me to fight. I am their pawn, who asked them a stupid questions and yet the gods always call upon those who seek a question and answer them. They answered mine, by telling me to fight right then and there."

"What about Halfdan? What about your son?"

"What are you talking about?" "Geir your son."

It was like I forgot everything I loved. I forgot I had a lover, a son, and even my own sister. I look down at my hands and the sight of blood starts to scare me. Lagertha senses i am about to break down. "I have gone to far this time and I don't think I can fix it." Lagertha puts her arms around me and we start walking to great hall. "Don't worry, we will find out who did this to you very soon."

" That is a very gruesome way to die Halfdan." "Indeed my boy it is." Aelle has just been blood eagled. his screaming still ringing through my ears. At the camp, Harald was burying his princess, who Halfdan killed. I don't blame him. "Good thing you killed that bitch, she would have been trouble." "Yes, women are too much of a mystery, even when you married to one, you never understand them."

We walk to go get some food. I wish my mother would eat. Can't believe Halfdan hasn't seen what she does. " Are you talking about my mother." He didn't answer me, instead just sat down and started eating. "You know she doesn't eat right?" He looks at me, chewing. "Any person could tell she doesn't eat, but I think she is testing the gods, to see if this is all a game. Now you need to eat, we have another battle to fight." I start eating my chicken.

"Do you love my mother?" He finally stopped eating. He placed down his plate and placed his arms on his legs, leaning closer to me. "Of course I love her, every women I sleep with, I only think of her. Yet I still feel betrayed. She slept with another man and had a child, you, and I can only be jealous. I have no right to be, but I am. I truly do love her. Don't tell her that."

"Do you want to kill me?" His eyes become stone cold. "I treat you as my own, I hope you know, but you are not my blood and a constant reminder she slept with another man. so if I could I would kill you. Rest now, you need to be ready for tomorrow." He stands up and walks away from me. I have to tell him he is my father.

"Halfdan!" He turns around to me. "You are my..." I couldn't finish that sentence. Blood starting pouring out of my mouth. I brought my hand to my lip. It was a lot of blood. My vision started to blur. The last thing I saw was Halfdan running towards me. I felt my knees buckle and his arms around me. Everything was dark.

"Geir you are the son of a monster, but yet you are not one yourself. We have and still are guiding you. Your mother broke her vow orfno fighting. Turn your love and devotion towards us. If you do I will give you my strength, and make you stronger than me, Odin. You will fight stronger than the serpent, and kill all with a spear. Answer the call Geir."

My mother betrayed me. She chose to fight rather than me. I have nothing left to live for except this.

"I accept."
