the sun has finally risen and I haven't seem Halfdan since last night. I ran away. I can't believe I said those words to him. I am such a fool. Even though I know he feels the same way, but I cant help but feel I have ruined it.

"Alca you must see this view." Bjorn came over to me. "Why are you sitting here in such a bad mood? We have come so far away from home and seen new things. At least smile for me." How could I not smile for him. "We will be over by the cliff." He walks away from me. He is right I must enjoy my time here, who knows how long it will last. I try to stand up, but the world started to spin and black dots were visible. I don't remember what happens next, but my head starts hurting.

"How the mighty have fallen." I turn my head to the side. "Ake." I blinked again and he was gone. I look towards the sky. It was just my imagination, nothing more, and finally got up. I walked towards the cliff and saw the five of them standing there. Halfdan turns around and smiles at me. Guess I have no choice. I walked towards him and stand in front of them. The wind blows by and my blows in my face. As I move it out of the way Hvitserk, Bjorn, and Rollo all had a gloom expression and I realized.

"Ragnar is dead isn't he?" Everyone looked at me and bjorn turned to walk away. "Time to go home."

We all get on the boats and prepare to go back. Rollo stands next to me. "What will you do, Alca."

"Rollo, why do you always ask these dumb questions?" "Because I want to know the answers." I crossed my arms and directly look at him. It was just me and him and my glare became fierce and I could see him shudder under it. "I will go back to Kattegat and be a free woman. Nothing more, nothing less. it is time for me to relax and finally live happy life." He finally smiled at me

"The gods will never allow you to be happy." He walks away from me leaving me in a daze. Was he right. "Come on Alca, the boats will leave you." Halfdan grabs my arm gently. "Halfdan, what will you do when we get back?" "I don't know yet, but we have to be on a boat to get back. Let's go"

The trip felt longer going home than ever. It has been so long since I have seen my son. And finally i see the harbor. Its Kattegat and people are crowding everywhere and that's when i see him next to Lagertha. Without knowing, Halfdan follows my gaze onto the boy. 'How could she have a child with another man'

"Halfdan being jealous is not going to work." "Brother I am not jealous, just wondering why." The boat hits the dock and Bjorn is the first to get off. He grabs my hand and helps me unto the dock. On the sand, Geir stands and the biggest smile i have ever seen is plastered on his face. I chuckled and started walking towards him, but he started running. I crouched down a little and we engulfed into a hug.

"You have grown Geir, so much." "I missed you too, why do feel like a bag of bones." we stop hugging and i stand up, i keep smiling, but really I'm worried. Lagertha is there next to me. "Lagertha thank you for looking after him." "It is good to see you, alca, you have shrunk even more since the last time i saw you."

"Making fun of me is rude, let's go to the hall, I am a little hungry." "I will meet you there, I want to see my son." I grab geirs hand and we walk away from the crowd.

"How was Kattegat, while i was away." "It was fine, Ivar went to wessex and made it back. truly amazing." "Alca." The two of them stop and turn around to see Halfdan following them. "So this must be your son."

"How do you he..." "He has your eyes. " "Geir I will see you at the hall." He turns back around and walks away. "How could you not tell me you have a son?" "Why does it concern you?" "I though I was starting to understand you and then this happens, you are a whore Alca." He eyes harden and starts to walk away.

"YOU LEFT ME." he stopped walking and stood still. My breathing gets heavy, but I don't cry. "You knew i was going back to my kingdom and yet you chose to go with your brother instead of me. Ten years, Halfdan, Ten years I waited and you never came. You can be mad at me for as long as you want, but just remember you are the one who left me." Nothing was said, he never turned back around, he just kept walking. I just stood there. Rollo is right, the gods are just playing with me for fun.

That woman is going to be the death of me, through my veins as i walk to great hall. " Why odin!"

"Do not blame the gods for your woman troubles." I turn to see Floki standing there holding a piece of wood in his hand. "She betrayed me, that's all she knows how to do, betray people." Floki starts laughing and walks towards. "Maybe the gods have a different see t a different way." With that he walks away. This can only mean one person knows the answers to my questions, the seer.

I walk there to him, pushing away the bones and walking into room. "Here so soon, the gods have already given you a wonderful gift, what more can you ask for." "who is he?"

The seer looks up and takes a big breath. "He is Geir, man with a spear, and he will be one of the greatest Vikings of all time , more famous than Ragnar lothbrok."

"What about Alca?" The seer starts laughing. "Alca decides it all. Now ask what you really want to know." "Who is the father." "He is closer to you than you know." He sticks his hand out and I lick it. Closer to me than I know. As i walk out, i see Geir holding a wooden sword. He is in fighting position, in his mother stance. His blonde hair getting longer and in his face.

"Geir!" He looks over towards me. I motion him to come this way. He walks very slowly. I can tell he's nervous. "You don't look comfortable with a sword." "I am trying to follow my mother's stance, but i don't like the feeling of the sword." "Have you ever tried a spear. I think you will do just fine with that." "Umm yeah I guess. I like you tattoos, i want some like that."

"Once you find a meaning for them I will get the best for you." "Halfdan, don't be mad at my mother, she only tries to protect me. She told me many stories about paris and of a man who protected her. I know that was you. Thank you Halfdan and don't let me down." He walks away from me. What am i suppose to do now. I have started to fall for boy.

god its not just Alca driving me crazy, its her entire blood line.
