The battle was beginning. Men from both sides were attacking and killing each other. As promised Alca never left Halfdan's side. Blood went everywhere as she cut off a soldier's head. Something was off though.

Alca stopped fighting and looked around. She watched everything going on. Her breathed was caught in her throat. Lagertha was hit, Rollo and Ragnar almost killed each other, Loki freaking out.

"Why have the gods lead to this moment?" She dropped her sword. Ashletoe was right, It is a worthless battle. Alca was not moving, but everything around her was.

"ALCA!" She turned around to see a stake flying at her. She closed her eyes waiting for it to hit her. She wanted to stop this fighting. The stake never her though. Her eyes open to Halfdan on the ground. A man was coming at her so she grabbed her sword from the ground and sliced the man across the chest.

"Halfdan stay with me. HARALD HELP!" Harald turned her way and saw the scene. He came straight away. The two of them carried him to the other boat and pushed off. Everyone knew they lost the battle and so they all sailed away from the French.

"Alca what happened?" "Harald I have let him down." Alca looked across the other boats to see Ragnar disappointed. Next to her was Halfdan and the men trying to save him. The gods really love punishing her.

For Halfdan's sake, they went there since it is closer than their home. It took for him to actually wake up and wound was healed up already, but a scare remained. Ragnar has been no where to be found.

"Alca." A servant came up to her. "He has awaken." Her eyes widen and she ran as fast as she could, pushing through everyone in her way. She opened the cabin and saw him sitting up straight with Harald by his side. She was out of breathe and felt like she was about to collapse. "I will give you two some room," and Harald left the room.

"Why did you do it?" Alca asked. "Why did you stop fighting?" he asked back. Alca went on her knees so they were eye leveled.

"You have been out for a while Halfdan and things have changed." He looked at her lips and back up to her eyes. "What is that suppose to mean Alca."

"The reason why dropped my sword is because I am done with this game." "What game is that?" She moved some of his hair out of the way. "I have given up my will to fight." In that instant Halfdan kissed her and she did not hesitate to kiss back.

Halfdan was in so much pain, but this was his chance, he finally broke her. "Halfdan I don't know how to do this." he laughed at her and picked her up so she was straddling him. "I may not be able to move, but i will move you tonight." And so that is what they did and let's just say it was the best night of both of their lives.

As the morning came everyone was ready to leave. After Alca woke up, she saw Halfdan gone. She got dressed and went to find Ashletoe.

"What is on your mind sister?" Alca find her by the water, her usually spot. "Alca I want to go home." she sat down next to her.

"I know and I as well, but somethings just cant happen." "Come on Alca. I know you gave up fighting, but the gods want you to do one last fight, to avenge you and them. Do it for me, your family, the gods, and to kill Ake." She looked at her sister and smiled. "Let's go find Lagertha." "What is your answer?" "I will think about it."

They went to the great hall and sat down and there she saw Harald and Halfdan. Halfdan saw her walk in and then both smiled at each other. Everyone sat down and ate. "I would like to saw something." Harald spoke up. Everyone went quiet and looked at him.

"My brother has finally woke up and healed. Thank the gods he is alive. With that being said it is time for us to leave and head home. We have more fighting to do."

"I as well." Lagertha spoke up. Alca looked around and caught Halfdan's eyes and she looked away. Lagertha was done speaking and she was about to stand, but Halfdan beat her to it.

"The gods have helped me through my time here and now I will kept to keep fighting and protecting the people I care for. Alca." All eyes turned to her. "Will you come with me?" Her eyes turned to Ashletoe who looked at her with caring eyes. Alca stood up.

" As many you know, I have finally went against my fate and gave up the will to fight." Halfdan smiled at her, but she was not smiling back. "With that being said, there is still one more fight left for me to finish." Halfdan's smile went away now. "I will be travelling to my home land with Ashletoe to reclaim it and then my battle was over and free."

Harald looked over at his brother to see a very a disappointed face and so he asked, "When are you leaving?" Alca looked away and down at her plate. "Now." So both Ashletoe and Alca left and walked to the boat.

"You were going to leave without saying goodbye?" She looked at him. I did say my goodbyes, but it was too hard to tell you."

"Why Alca, I actually thought i was understanding a women and then you pull this." " Halfdan I have to do this, if i don't I will never be truly free from this curse." He grabbed her face and they kissed. "Better make them suffer." "Trust me, you won't be able to tell what end is their ass or their head." They both laughed and she walked to her ship, where men were taking the ropes off. The boat drifted and she looked at the shore, where Halfdan was getting smaller and smaller. Her heart fluttered. If this Is what love feels like, she never wants it to stop.

My king a boat is here and a women has gotten off and demanded to see you." The king kicked the servant to the ground. He laughed knowing who it is. "Bring her to me now!"

As Alca walked through the village, with her hand placed on her sword. People stopped their worked and looked at her and the smaller blonde one behind her. "It's her" "It can't be" Everyone knew who she was and why she was here. Though she is the reason why they are in the situation, they know she will set them free.

A man ran out in front of her and bowed to her. "My queen we have waited for you." She stopped and looked around to see everyone bowing down to her.

"You have grown so much." She picked her head up and saw him, the man that ruined her life. "It has been some time Alca. Would you like a drink?" "You know why I am here Ake." "Then lets settle this now. First one to die loses." "Wouldn't have any other a way."

The people gathered around in a circle. Alca pulled out her sword, while he grabbed a sword a shield. "Hmm think you are better than me Alca?" "Of course I do, that is why I am here."

He ran at her and she dunked and making him ran past her. she tried slicing his back, but he turned and blocked her with his sword. He sliced, hit, and blocked at her many times. Alca was getting mad and she finally made a flaw, leaving a spot open. She tried her best to block, but in that instant, her sword broke. Her father's sword, the one she never fought without was gone.

"Well Alca, guess you are still as weak as ever." He ran at her again, but she knew she had to keep fighting and so that is what she did. She dodged his sword and grabbed his wrist and breaking it. his sword fell and she grabbed it stabbing him through the stomach. "Who is the weak one now."

He fell to the ground dead. No sound was made and people looked at her. She dropped the sword and stood straight up. "I am Alca The Midgard Serpent, daughter of king Ulvar, and I have betrayed all of you. I am not here to be Queen, but to avenge all of you for my mistakes. I am truly sorry and i am truly done fighting now." It was still sound and Alca was nervous.

A man went onto his knees. "Hail queen Alca!" "Hail queen Alca!" Many people came before her. A child walked up to her and gave her the crown. Ashletoe took the crown and placed it on her head.

"I will make a vow to you and stay by your side, as your Queen, until the day Bjorn Ironside calls upon. Until that day, I will make up for my mistakes and tonight we shall have feast to thank the gods." People shouted and music was playing. a whole new aura filled the place.

"You did it Alca, you saved everyone." Ashletoe looked at her and saw a worried expression on her face. "What is wrong?" "Asheltoe, the prophecy told me I would never love unless I gave up fighting and now I did." "Everyone knows that Alca, so what is wrong now, can't handle the emotion." Alca started laughing. "No Ashletoe, but it also means something much more." "What is it Alca."

"I am pregnant."
