《The Midgard Serpent (Halfdan the Black x OC)》Chapter 7

Everything was happening so fast. Being stuck in the marsh, arrows flying left and right, but all Alca saw was a man on top of the tower looking down upon them. She stood there completely motionless. Who was he? Lagertha's yelling took her out of her trance. "Move to dry land!" Alca was the first on and as everyone formed into a line. Shields went up and arrows came flying. "Lagertha you have to let me fight."
Everyone kept moving forward and many kept falling. "Alca you will stay in line." Blood covered the field behind them. "How many more will you let die?"
Lagertha looked around to see the fallen. She questioned herself, but realized Alca was right. "Stop!" Everyone in line stopped, still taking arrows, but now looking at Lagertha. The man on the tower, raised his hand to stop his men, confused on what was happening.
"Split!" The shield wall split in half creating a opening, big enough for a person to go through. Alca looked at Lagertha. "Go!" Alca smirked. She walks around Lagertha and through the opening. "Close!" The hole is gone and now is just a wall. All that stood was Alca and the soldiers across.
Alca looked up towards the man. She stuck out her tongue and hissed it like a snake. In that moment, he realized who she was. His breathing tensed and he commanded his army to keep shooting, but it was too late, she was running straight at them, slicing each one of their throats. One came at her slicing her arm, but dodged just in time, before it hit her neck.
She was in war mode, killing everyone. After she stabbed the last man through the chest, she looked up to him, who was mad at first, but he started laughing. She then turned her head to see, Lagertha being attacked. "Retreat!"

Alca hated those words, but she could do nothing about it. She looked back up to the man and mouthed the words "I will kill you." Even though she didn't saw them allowed, he knew what she said.
Alca ran back in the retreat and joined back up with Lagertha.
Rollo walked along the beach with the princess. "I didn't realize there were so many women." Rollo then started to admire Lagertha. "Who was that woman that killed so many?" Rollo stopped walking, making Giselle stop as well. "I never thought she would come here." "Who Husband?" " There is a legend about a man called a Midgard Serpent who betrayed an entire nation. No one has every seen him and it is said to be a myth." "What does this mean?"
Rollo looked at her. "That you should never believe a myth." Giselle's eyes widen. "She is the man in the story." "She is Alca the Midgard Serpent, with abilities given to her by the gods, and destroys anything in her path."
the two continued walking, " I would like to meet her." Rollo chuckled at this. "What is so funny?" "Princess, the moment she sees you, she will kill you. She is dangerous and hates your God."
Lagertha and Alca were walking back and hoped everyone from the ships made it. Then smoke was seen. "Lagertha we got to go." Alca started running and soon Lagertha saw why. Women laid dead and the sons of Ragnar were missing. Alca couldn't breathed and everything started to become a haze. It was her village all over again. She started questioning if this was her fault.
"Alca!" She couldn't see who it was, but when his hands touched her face, cupping her cheeks, she knew who it was. "Alca look at me, you are fine." She started to see again and saw Halfdan crouched down and looking at her directly. A crunch was heard and she turned her head to see Ubbe and Hvitserk. Her breathing became normal now. She reached up to halfdan's hand and pulled it off of her face.

Everyone was standing around, surprised they didn't realize this would happen. Ragnar ordered some men to look around to make sure everyone was gone.
Time passed and they were cleaning up and packing up their defeat. A scream was heard and crunching was heard throughout the forest. A small group started to gather around, when out came a teenage girl. She tripped and fell on the rocks and sand. Distance was placed between her and everyone.
every man had their swords up and started to laugh, everyone except halfdan. He looked at Alca who was in udder shock.
She dropped her sword, letting it make a clinging sound as it hit the ground. The heads turned towards her confused on why the great warrior is standing down. The teenage girls head lifts up and she looks directly at Alca. The two of them stare at each other and never break eye contact and as the girl gets off the ground.
It was hard to speak, but Alca managed to do so. "Ashletoe." Alca ran towards the blonde hair girl. The two collided into a hug and fell towards the ground. Ashletoe began to cry and saying Alca's name over and over again. Alca held her head with her face stuffed in her shoulder. She was confused on how she got here, but didn't care at this point.
Alca lifted her head up to see Halfdan and for the first time ever, a tear left Alca's eye. Halfdan looked down at her and couldn't help wondering if the next emotion he would see from her, would involve him, but he knows only the gods would know this.
