Things became hectic. People gathered into ships, swords being sharpened, and all Alca could think about was not going. As she walked along the tents, two boys ran out in front of her, hitting her in the process, and them falling down. She extends her hand out to the oldest one. "You look a little young to be fighting." He grabs her hand and she lifts him up. "We were going to convince our father to let us go." Alca smirked and started to walk, placing an arm around the oldest, with the youngest on walking on the other side. "Let's walk." He started to tense up. "Calm down. What is your name?" "I'm Ubbe Ragnarsson and that is my brother Hvitserk." "Hmmm the sons of Ragnar, we finally meet."

"We have heard stories about you, from our mother." They stop walking when Alca sees Lagertha by a tent. "What did she say?" Turning towards the two. "She was afraid." "Are you afraid?" The boys didn't answer and she walked away from them, trying to avoid an awkward situation with Lagertha in front of everyone, but it was too late. "Alca!"

There she was walking towards her. Ragnar looked towards the two smiling, finding this very amusing, Harald glancing back and forth between the two and Halfdan, and there was just Halfdan who never glanced away from her. "Lagertha, how are you feeling?" "I am fine, but Alca you were right." I confused expression was placed on her face. "Last time I checked I threatened you." " You did, but you were also right that I would not be able fight without you by my side." "What are you saying?" A smile appeared on both their faces. " I want you to come and fight." Alca started to laugh and the two of them hugged. "I won't let you down Lagertha, I promise this." "I know you won't. We are leaving very soon, do not go far." Lagertha walks away from her.

Alca has never been as happy as she has been right now. She ran a hand threw her ponytail and tried to clam herself down. "I see Lagertha is letting you go." The smile disappeared "Can't you see I was happy. You have just ruined the mood." "Didn't mean to, just want to say I'm glad you are able to fight." She started shaking her head. "Halfdan, stop lying to me, we both know you are mad your plan didn't work out." She walks closer to him. "I have faced bigger monsters than you and defeated them all. I am not afraid to take you down as well." "Well clearly there's still a monster you haven't faced." The distance between the two was very small, but the tension was intense. "And who would that be Halfdan." "Yourself."

Halfdan walks away mumbling under his breath, "Women." He walks back towards Harald. "What was that about brother?" Harald slaps his brother on the back. " Women are so conflicting." Harald starts to laugh. "What is so funny brother?" The two start walking towards the boat. "What's funny is that you can have any women in the world and yet you go after her. I will admit she is hot, but she can't love you." "Who said I love her?" "When you kissed her, or was that just an attempt to just get laid?" The two are now facing each other and are very serious. "Halfdan, she is not like my queen, if anyone is going to be used, it should be her, if she even lives that long."

The two of them get onto the boat and wait for their crew to untie the boat. Halfdan looks out towards land and sees Lagertha's group with Alca in front. "What do you mean?" "She was throwing up blood after your kiss. She cannot love anything, but her will to fight." All the boats were now taking off and Halfdan looked towards Alca. He couldn't describe this feeling, but it was mostly just his curiosity about her. "Don't worry Halfdan, once we kill her, we will be more than just ruler of all norway, but the strongest army anyone has ever seen."

"What happens if we don't kill her?" "Oh brother, she will never join us, come let's sail first to Paris." He yelled the last past and all men yelled. Halfdan tried to get his mind off her, but he couldn't. Why would a women be doing this to him? In his mind, he kept telling himself that she means nothing, but what happens he could convince her to be on his side? What happens if he breaks his own cold heart? It is not the time to think about any of this. It is the time to fight
