Water splashed on her face from the waves. The tide has come in. Alca opens her eyes to see the sun starting to rise a little. She sits ups, soaking wet, and decides its time to start her day. Returning to her tent she changes into more suitable fighting clothing. She braids her into a high ponytail and grabs her sword. She walks to the forest and starts to train, hitting the sword against the tree. The sun is fully out now and people started walking around. While still hitting the tree Lagertha comes up to her.

"We are about to start." The tree starts to tilt now. "Hmm, then let's go." She hits the tree one more time. "Leave the tree be." "Huh, fine." So the two walk towards the others. Lagertha sits down on the bench and Alca stands beside her. Ragnar grabs two cups and starts explaining a plan of attack. They suggest to attack on land. Lagertha was the first to say she would lead the attack on land. But what surprised was the response, "And I will go too." All heads turned to Alca. "I thought we agreed you would stay back." Alca turned more towards her being able to see both Harald and Halfdan. "That was the plan, but its clear Ragnar doesn't want you to go and you will need my help."

Lagertha knew this was going to happen and now she questions letting her come. " Al you will not be going at all. You will stay here with the rest." Alca was becoming enraged. " I am going whether you like it or not." She starts to walk away, but Lagertha keeps calling her. "Al" I will not turn around. "Al" Lagertha was so angry at this point. Right before Alca was leaving the group, she stood up and yelled "Alca!" I waved of silence was placed over everyone. Alca stopped walking. She turned around and stared into her eyes. "Alca I am your earl and you shall listen to me." Alca next took long strides and took out her sword before Lagertha had the chance to grab hers. She placed it right at her neck. Bjorn was about to grab his out, but Lagertha stopped him. "Last time I checked Lagertha I killed my earl." She then gets closer and whispers in her ear, "You may be strong, but never forget I will always be able to beat you." She places her sword down and walks away from everyone. After a couple of minutes, she was back at the tree hitting it again.

"So they said you were close with Alca, I didn't realize they meant this close." "What do you want Halfdan?" "That trees about to fall if you keep hitting at it." "So what should I hit then, your face?" With one last swing the tree went the opposite direction fall straight down. "Never thought you were Alca." "I never thought you could be this annoying." Moving on to another tree to hit. Halfdan came up behind her and grabbed her hand to stop her. "If Lagertha won't let you come, come and my brother and I. Join us when we cross the area first and kill those Christians." Alca starts to laugh. "Was this your plan all a long. To have Alca join you and your brother on your little sea adventures." Halfdan let's go of her hand. That was the plan right? To do what his brother told him to do and have Alca join them. Why does it feel so different now?

"Well Halfdan, If I'm not going with Lagertha, then I'm not going at all." She places her sword away and walks away from him. "I made a vow to Lagertha. I may be a Midgard Serpent, but I always keep my vows. Your ship is leaving soon, I think you need to get ready." Alca is away from him and sitting by herself now. What is she suppose to do now?
