《Never in a Million Years ✔️》20- Just gets worse from here

"Move!" I grunt as I forcefully push Colton out of the way, "Hey Dallas" I smirk as I open the door further
"Hey Dallas" Colton mocks me in a high pitched, girly voice
"Shut up!" I snap at him
Dallas just grins at us as he slips his hands into his Jean jacket.
"I'm Colton, Belle's brother" Colton says
monotonously, holding his hand out to Dallas
"Oh yeah, you're the one of the few sophomores on varsity right?" Dallas smiles politely at hin
"Yeah," Colton shrugs before walking back into the kitchen
"Okay so uh sorry about him, I'm warning you now it's just going to get worse from here" I warn him quietly before we both start walking back into the kitchen, I hear Dallas lightly chuckle as he follows behind me.
"Hey guys" I smile at my brothers and Caleb "This is Dallas, Dallas this is Caleb and my two older brothers Arrex and Ace and then my twin Beck" I tell him, pointing them out. Although I'm pretty sure he already knew them.
"Hey Arres" Ace says, a slight edge to his voice
"Hey Ace" Dallas greets
Caleb, Arrex and Beck just stand intimidatingly behind Ace with their arms crossed.
I look to Em to see her smirking at them.
I roll my eyes at their intimidating acts. All three of them were very dominant guys so naturally they'd be intimidating, but this whole alpha dog shit was annoying.
"Okay so I just wanna say something, you hurt her in any way and I'll castrate you" Em smiles at him
"Yeah she's more violent than all of us combined" Arrex smirks,
"You do not wanna test her" Caleb mirrors his best friends smirk
"She'll kill you and very easily get away with it" Beck adds
"Okay well this has been great, we're leaving now" I tell my brothers as I grab Dallas' hand and start to pull him away toward the front door
"Back by ten latest. I want to see you before leaving for the party" Arrex orders as we walk out
"Okay! Love all you guys! Bye!" I yell back as we exit
"I am so sorry about them, they're idiots" I apologize quickly
"It's totally understandable, they all looked like they wanted to kill me, even Kazer and he isn't even your brother" Dallas chuckles once we are both in his car.
"Eh he's definitely not my brother but he's just as protective, you haven't even met the rest of them" I grin
"There are more?!" He looks at me with wide eyes
"Yeah, my dad, two other older brothers, Ryan and Zach and then Wes,Tyler and Jordan" I smile "told you this was a bad idea"
"Eh it's fine," Dallas grins "worth it"
"So where are we going?"
"Benny's" he smiles making my eyes go wide, Benny's was the most expensive steak house in the area, granted it was amazing but it was also just over $150 for two people
"What is there something wrong?" He questions, concern written across his face
"No-no it's nothing" I nod, silently thanking myself for not letting Em talk me out of bringing money. She says the guy should pay for at least the first date and then I pay tip, but I feel bad when I do that. I hate letting other people pay for me.
"Oh by the way you aren't paying" he says simply, voicing my thought as we pull into he parking lot
"Oh what the fuck" I whine "No this is the most expensive restraunt in the area, I'm paying at least half"
"No you aren't, I'm paying, trust me you aren't going to win this" he smirks at me, holding his car door open for me
"You underestimate my stubbornness" I laugh
"yeah okay" he scoffs
We walk in and are seated immediately, I had only been here once and it kinda scared me. I hated fancy places like this, I felt like I had to be so proper all the time.
"So Belle" Dallas grins
"So Dallas" I mirror his grin as I sit back in my seat
"I don't know I was going to ask you something but I forgot" He chuckles making me laugh
"Good job"
"Can I take youre order?" A younger woman asks politely, she smiles at both of us as she takes a pad of paper out
"Just get me the filet mignon with a baked potato and coke" Dallas orders, all while staring down at the menu
"Okay and for you?" She plasters an obvious fake smile towards him, before turning to me
"Oh can I just have the steak cheeseburger with French fries please?" I look up at her with a smile
"Would you like anything to drink?" She questions
"Oh I'm sorry" I smile sheepishly before looking down at the menu "can I just have the sweet tea please?"
"Of course" she grins, writing the order down
"Thank you" I smile genuinely at her as I hand over my menu
She looked a little taken a-back by my thanks but nods anyway as Dallas lazily hands her his menu. I wash his movements and mannerisms towards the waitress, already not liking how he disregarded her completely but let it slide for now.
After she walks a way Dallas finally looks back at me
"You go to a stakehouse and order a burger" he chuckles
"Hey it was a steak burger!" I reason, laughing lightly.
Truth be told, I honestly didn't like steak all that much. It just wasnt my favorite unless it was a steak sandwich. I much rather have a greasy ass burger with fries over a fancy steak and salad.
"So Belle tell me about you" he smiles
"Oh my god that was so cliché" I laugh at him "but anyway, what do you want to know?"
"Hm? Let's start with your family, what are they like?" He asks, taking a sip of the water in front of him
"Well I have six brothers, you met Colton, Beck, Arrex and Ace, and then I mentioned my two oldest brothers Zach and Ryan. Then theres my dad, step-mom Cheri, Zachs wife, Mal, and then my niece Max and Nephew Sebastian." I smile thinking of my family, they were just the blood related ones, not to mention everyone else.
"Wow you have a huge family" He questions
"Oh if we're going by ones who aren't technically related, it's even bigger" I chuckle. The ones who weren't blood related were closer to me than a lot of the ones that were.
"Really?" He asks; confusion written across his face
"Of course! Theres a lot of people in my life, ones that have been there so long that they are just considered family. Like Caleb's Family. Our parents were friends in high school, and they just never split up. His family is my family and my family is his."
"Thats really cool" he nods with a grin
"Yeah, it's kind of insane to anyone who doesn't know us but to us it's just our normal. When we have family parties, its the most chaotic and fun thing ever. There's at least 45 people in total at my house with extended family and friends"
"That's insane!" He laughs
"It is but its super fun." I nod thinking about everyone, "What about you? What's your family like?"
"Well not like that." He chuckles lightly "my parents aren't home that often, dad is a lawyer for this transnational corporation, so he's constantly traveling between here and the UK, mom's usually going with him. I don't have any siblings. So it's for the most part quiet at my house" he shrugs
"I'm sorry but I would go insane. I need noise" I laugh at the thought. I hoenstly did need noise, I hate quiet.
"I'm the total opposite, I grew up in an extremely quiet environment" He grins "my neighborhood didn't have a very high kid population"
"Really? Where do you live?"
"West-garden heights in Mistbrook" he shrugs as I almost choked on my drink.
Mist brook was an extremely wealthy town, so if you lived there in general, it was known you had money. West-garden was a whole different level of wealthy though. Every single house in West-garden was easily five times the size of my own. I'd only been in that town once of twice for an away football game, but it was a gorgeous town. It was about double the size of Luxton, and was no where near the little bitty shops and simple diners/bars. There were high class restraunts and nice brewery's there.
"You okay?" He questions handing me a cloth napkin as I cough
"Oh Im fine," I caught once more "You live in West-Garden?"
"Yeah why?"
"Oh nothing" I say quickly
"Okay?" He says slowly "I have another question" he smiles as a waitor places another refill down in front of him.
"Thank you" I say to the man, as he hands me another sweet tea
"Okay shoot" I nod as the waitor walks away
"So you mentioned your brothers and your dad, but what about your mom? If you don't mind my asking"
"Oh, no not at all, she left us and divorced my dad when I was nine, I know she lives somewhere in Chicago but I honestly haven't talked to her in years. Its safe to say that I hate her" I nod, it was true, I hated her with all of my heart, just not for the reason he's probably thinking. The only ones who knew the true reason behind my hatred towards my mother were Caleb and Ryan. Not even Beck knew.
"Oh I'm sorry, I didn't mean-" he starts to apologize, which I internally roll my eyes at. It's the one thing I hate, the sorry's. Why does everyone say sorry when something sad has happened?
"It's fine!" I cut him off instantly, not wanting to hear the un-necessary apology.
Thankfully our waitress was walking over with our food, quickly putting an end to the conversation
"Is there anything else I can get for you?" She asks, fake smile back once again
"Yeah extra butter" Dallas orders,
Our waitress nods, her lips forming a straight line.
"Oh whenever you have a chance can I just have extra lemon please?" I ask politely
"Of course" she smiles once again before walking away
"This is amazing" I groan as I take a bit of my burger, Dallas just laughs as he cuts his steak
"Have I told you how hot you look?" He grins
"Oh yeah especially with a mouth full of burger" I say sarcastically
"No really, you look amazing" he says seriously "you're hair looks different also, I like it"
I look directly into his dark eyes, feeling heat rising to my cheeks
"Oh-Uh, well thank you" I nod
"You're blushing" He smirks
"Okay how could I not!" I scoff
"I know I am pretty great right?" He says, smirk growing wider
"Okay Mr.Arrogant" I say making him laugh
-----
"I'm just going to leave this here, whenever you guys are ready," our waitress was as we finish our ice cream
"Are you ready?" Dallas asks,
"Yep!" I grin as I grab my jacket "how much is it?" I question as he opens the check
"Not that much, you don't have to worry" he smiles, slipping his debit card into the check while writing something at the bottom
"Take this" I order him, holding out $50
"I'm not taking it"
"Please? At least let me pay for tip"
"No, and even if you were, you are really over tipping" he scoffs
"No I'm not, she dealt with us and is cleaning up after our dumbasses all night, she deserves it." I reason. Some people needed the money a hell if a lit more than I did. I was extremely fortunate to have a supportive father with a stable high paying job. Some people aren't as fortunate, so I always give a higher tip than normal.
"Thats her job" Dallas rolls his eyes "Keep your money, I'm not taking it"
"Yes you are" I state matter-of-factly
"Belle seriously, keep your money"
"Dallas" I whine, he was making this really difficult
"Belle"
"Fine" I roll my eyes "you're difficult"
"I prefer chivalrous" he grins
"You're an idiot" I laugh at him as our waitress approaches us once again
"Okay have a nice night guys" she says before retreating back into her area by the front
"Alrighy, I should probably get you home, yoire brothers woild kill me if you got home late" he says making me laugh. I knew he was going to be afraid of my brothers, everyone is.
"Yeah probably the best idea" I agree with him as we start waking out but Once we reach his car an idea pops into my head.
"oh my god I'm such an airhead, I forgot my wallet in there," I laugh "I'll be right back" I say quickly before walking back in the restraunt.
I look around but spot our waitress seconds later
"Um excuse me?" I ask her, taking the fifty-dollar bill out of my wallet
"Oh no I can't" she says hesitantly
"It's your tip" I smile
"No, the guy you were sitting with already tipped me" she says, her lips once again forming a straight line
"And I know it wasnt nearly as much as you deserve it, just please take it" I plead, pushing the money towards her "you dealt with us, you deserve it"
"Thank you miss" she smiles as she gently takes the money. Tears start to well up in her eyes as she hugged me
"Oh no, I'm Belle, and it's no problem, thank you for dealing with us" I smile genuinely at her
"I'm sorry" she says before quickly wiping stray tears. "My daughter's seventh birthday is tomorrow, now I can finally get her the American girl doll she wanted"
"Don't apologize" I smile at her "tell her happy birthday."
"Thank you mi-Belle."
"Of course. Have a nice night" I wave at her before walking back to the front of the restraunt and out the door.
"I found it" I smile as I plop into his passenger seat
"Good," he grins "lets get you home"
