I woke up feeling lethargic but without pain. I was still laying down and as I stared up at the high ceiling of the room I heard hushed voices nearby.
"Where am I?" I sat upright and swung my legs in front of me. My sister, brother and several familiar and unfamiliar faces stared at me
"Oh thank goodness you're finally awake, how are you feeling? Are you in any pain?" Minji asked, sitting down beside me
"Umm no pain, I feel extremely tired and sluggish. Where are we?" I repeated my initial question
"We're at my job, here drink some water" she unscrewed the cap before handing it to me. I drank nearly half of the large bottle before breathing again
"Thank you. What's going on? Who are they?"
"You don't remember?" Minji's raised eyebrows suggested I should "Wow, okay, well those are your soulmates"
"My soulmates...SHIT!" I clasped my hand over my mouth suddenly remembering everything "Oh my god! Ohmygodohmygodohmygod"
"Calm down Ma-ri, breathe" Minsu coached me while sitting on the other side of me "Breathe, breathe, it's okay" he gave me a one-armed hug and a kiss on my forehead
"Hi Ma-ri, I'm sure this is very overwhelming for you and I'm sorry you've been suffering so much. My name is Min Yoongi. Do you recognize me?"
I shake my head yes "You're in my dreams"
"That's right" his smile grew and he approached me and sat on the floor in front of me "You're in mine too. Looks like we share a mental connection, we can see other's dreams and memories, I've been waiting a long time to meet you"
"You-you've been waiting for me?"
"Yes, we all have" he glanced back at the other members who were too shy or nervous to come forward
"Ms. Choi, can you please show us your arm?" A tall man with a wide chest asked with a irritated tone of voice
"Yes" I pushed my sleeve all the way to my shoulder to reveal the moles. The man sighed and shook his head looking back at the guys "What's wrong?"
"It's the exact same as theirs" all the members displayed their arms and the series of marks was identical to mine. I looked at each of them ending with Yoongi
"It's a little hard to believe that we finally found you, well you found us actually, but some of us are having a hard time wrapping our minds around it" Yoongi spoke, he grabbed both of my hands gently.
While he held my hands I felt calm and steady. I hadn't even realized I was shaking until I stopped. Another member cautiously stepped forward, it was Jungkook, and sat next to Yoongi
"Hi Ma-ri, my name is Jungkook, I'm so happy to finally meet you" he took one of my hands from his friend and smoothed his thumb over the back of it. It felt weird, like I was feeling it from both sides. "We share a physical connection, pain and pleasure" he smiled then kissed my hand.
"This is crazy" I say out loud "How can this be happening?"

"Fate. Destiny. God. Pick one" said the tall, broad chested member with a deeper voice than Jungkook and Yoongi. "I'm Kim Namjoon, I'm glad you're okay Ma-ri"
"What kind of connection do we share?" I asked
"Ours is physical" he answered with a beautiful big grin. Yoongi and Jungkook stood and moved to the side for two other to come up to me
"Hey I'm Park Jimin"
"And I'm Kim Taehyung" they both looked at each other "Can I have a hug?"
"Uh sure, I guess" Minsu took his arm off me so I could stand. Taehyung embraced me and I felt warm inside and out.
"Thank you" he smiled "We also have a physical connection"
I heard the door slam open and out stormed the two I had not been introduced to yet. I wondered what was up with them but didn't get the chance to voice my question before Jimin spoke up again.
"Uh that was Hoseok and Seokjin, they're a little frustrated by all of this, I'm sorry."
"Don't be, I completely understand their frustration"
"It really is nice to meet you after so long, we have an emotional connection" he smiled sweetly then also hugged me
"So all of you have known I was your soulmate for a long time? How? I didn't even believe we still existed until a couple days ago"
"Which I totally called by the way, you can thank me now" Minsu stood up and patted my back I just rolled my eyes at him
"Yes we have, unfortunately we didn't know where to start or how to find you but now it makes sense that every time we were in the US the pull was stronger" Yoongi said, gaining agreement from his members
"Your sister and brother told us you live in the US" Jungkook explained as my eyebrows bunched "Are you okay?"
"I don't know. This is so much to take in and accept. Like I said before I didn't think soulmates were still around and then I find out I have seven and you're famous as fuck. People are going to hate me for something I can't control and I will have to completely unroot my life back home and move back here after swearing to never come back."
"You used to live here?" Namjoon asked
"When I was kid, I moved here when I was seven and went back to the states when I was fourteen"
"I'm really sorry this is such an inconvenience for you and this is also an adjustment for us, you're not a man" Jimin's voice pointed out the fact I hadn't noticed until then "I assumed our last mate would be male until Yoongi's dreams started"
"Wow" I felt like I wanted to panic but the feeling dissolved before forming completely, the feeling of Jimin's arms wrapped around me helped settle my racing heart
"It'll be okay, we will figure this out" his voice is so soothing
"When are you going back home?" Yoongi asked as Jimin released me
"I was supposed to leave today, I was on my way back to the airport when I came here"
"Back to the airport?" Minji asked. I felt my pants and the locket was still secure in my pocket

"I found this in my hotel room and wanted to return it to you" I held the chain letting it unfold into the heavy oval
"I didn't even realize it was gone" she gasped "Thank you but I was going to gift it to you anyway"
"You were?"
"Yes, please keep it"
"Thank you" I dropped it back into my pocket
"I hate to break this up but you guys are on a tight schedule and they've taken up enough time already" the tall man with the wide chest said taking a few steps forward
"I'm sorry, I should go"
"You have nothing to be sorry about, I know this is a mess right now but this is a good thing, a great thing. We're finally complete" Taehyung said, sounding so sure. I hoped he was right.
"We really do have to get back to work but I would like to meet up with you later tonight. Can we do that?" Yoongi asked
"Yeah I have to make some phone calls and see what I can do about my plane ticket. I'll check into a hotel and-"
"You can go to our house" Jungkook offered
"That'll be weird, for me, a hotel will work just fine" I shook my head declining
"Come back home with us" Minji offered
"That is not a good idea" the older man was growing even more impatient
"You need to relax," Namjoon said to the man who swallowed hard at his authoritative tone.
"Take our numbers and let us know where you are. We will taking to Seokjin and Hope and meet up later" Yoongi said pushing his hair back
"I don't have my phone" I pat down my body realizing it must still be in Minsu's car
"That's fine, just give us yours and we will contact you, make sure to charge your phone" Jimin suggested so I did. They all left to attend to this business.
Another man walked in and looked around until his eyes landed on me
"Ms. Choi, I presume"
"Yes"
"Hi my name is Sejin and I'm their manager" he had a warm smile
"Oh, nice to meet you"
"I don't mean to add on to, what I'm sure is a hectic day for you but you all can't leave out the front door"
"Why not?" Minji asked. Sejin turned on a television that was mounted on a far wall and flipped through several stations and every single one of them had me as the breaking news.
One of my most vulnerable moments was now a viral video that made it to news outlets within a matter of hours. Several videos from different angles and resolutions showed me laid out in my brother's arms, him running me inside the building as well as people trying to get inside the building. Madness.
Minsu enunciated each word while looking out the window "Um you should see this" Minji and I joined him at the window. We were really high up but there was no mistaking the massive crowd of people outside.
There had to be close to a thousand people out front barely being tamed with police barricades. Why me? It was awful, my life was already going through a massive change and now it was going to be publicized.
"How do I leave undetected and where do I go? My face is everywhere and I'm not hard to recognize so I can't go to a hotel" Jungkook ran back into the with his hands stuffed in his pockets
"So we just heard and saw, I'm so sorry" he frowned
"Not your fault"
"Please go back to our house, it's the only safe place for you right now. Manager-nim Sejin will take care of everything from here and we'll be home as soon as we can. We have to try getting a handle on the situation before it spirals any further"
"Are you sure it's okay for me to be there?"
"Ma-ri where else can you go?" He asked genuinely concerned for me
"Nowhere" I answered truthfully. Even if I wanted to, I can't trust that people won't find out about my siblings and trace me back to their house. I don't want them in danger either. "Can my brother and sister stay with me please?"
"Of course" he smiled and kissed my forehead "I'll have one of our guards get your things from your car and meet you all at the private exit" He was gone again just as quickly as he appeared. I looked at Sejin, still wearing his warm smile, and gave him a weak smile; it was all I could muster.
"I can't imagine what you thinking and feeling right now Ms. Choi but this is really a good thing. They've been waiting and wanting to find you for years. I'm sure you feel overwhelmed and helpless but you're in great hands and I'm so happy for all of you. It will definitely get better, please be patient with them and yourself" Sejin said, trying to comfort me.
"Thank you"
"Should we go now?" Minji asked, Sejin nodded
"Follow me"
I felt so many emotions. I tried to control them but it was impossible, I was scared, nervous, angry still, helpless and feeling rejected. It was too much for one person yet there I was on an emotional rollercoaster that wasn't coming to a stop anytime soon. Minji grabbed my hand, lacing our fingers together as we walked through the enormous hallways of the building. Several people were staring and pointing, surely because they recognized me from the tv and internet, making me wish I was invisible. We walked forever through the building which felt like a giant maze, I kept my eyes glued to the floor just wanting to go home. We finally made it to the exit, a man was already there holding my bags, I noticed Minsu's car parked in a corner space.
"Your car will stay here for a couple days. We have a van ready and here are your things" The man spoke putting them in the van. Sejin thanked him then turned to us.
"We're going back to the boys' shared house, they'll be home late tonight so make yourselves comfortable" Sejin explained, allowing me and my siblings to climb in the back before he got into the front passenger seat.
"Thank you so much Sejin-ssi," Minji said, still holding my hand. I sat in the middle of her and Minsu with my head resting on his shoulder
"It's going to be okay Ma-ri, everything will be fine"

8 111Quest of the Seal Bearers - Book 1: The Warriors Return

Fantasma, leader of the global government, and his colleagues are determined to find cause of these attacks. but the search for answers points them to an ancient relic, The Book of War, a cursed artifact that can create indestructible creatures loyal to its master. It’s been over twelve thousand years since the Book of War was last opened. It was believed to be destroyed during the Great War by the Twelve Warriors and Daughter of the Sun at the cost of their lives. Now, it seems the book has resurfaced, and its new master is seeking to forever tip the balance of power. The stage is being set for another Great War but who can stop the Book of War once and for all? Meanwhile on Earth, the teen members of Greengale’s Action and Adventure Club are preparing for their yearly trip when they suddenly stumble upon a secret their parents have been keeping for years. Now their world is being turned upside down as they struggle to understand the legacy that ties their fate to Mendala and the Book of War. Is their destiny set in stone, or will they forge a different path? No matter what, their choices will bring forth a new era for Mendala. ------------------------------ If you love vast fantasy worlds, rich, fleshed-out characters, and a adventure where your'e constantly discovering new things along the way, then this is definitely a story you'll enjoy. This is a slow-burn high fantasy / adventure with many characters and intersecting plotlines. It’s a quest so lots of adventuring, exploring, and character moments, but not a ton of fighting/action (though there are definitely some great fight scenes as payoff to the buildup). Because it’s a fantasy world with lots of people and new concepts, I try to make it easy so that you don’t have to memorize anything. The narrative will constantly remind you of important people/places/concepts as you keep moving forward. Some things won’t be fully explained right at the beginning to avoid information overload. My goal is that the reader will learn things organically as the story progresses. I use two mechanisms to help with the intersecting plotlines. - Each chapter is named for the (main) plotline it’s following and which part. - At the beginning of the chapter, and anytime there is a scene shift, the location is listed. Also, though this is definitely a portal-fantasy (isekai) it’s different from the standard isekai, especially since the world transfer doesn’t happen immediately. It’s not Lit-RPG but characters gain powers and grow over time. Also, it’s a group of teens that transfer, not just one central character. All of the teens are distinct characters, with their own character-arcs, relationships, powers, growth etc. Hopefully you’ll find this interesting as you’ll see the world and story from multiple perspectives. The story is always in 3rd Person (Omniscient) POV so that it’s not jarring as perspectives shift.
