"You look so beautiful"
You hear his words echo in the cold, dark room.
You scooted back against the wall.
The chains scrapped the ground making a scratching sound.
A bright light came on, paining your eyes as they became adjusted.
A single light bulb.
Your captor was standing above you with a grin.
You were in a basement. You knew this because of the wooden stairs.
For the most part is was empty besides some boxes.
"Wow.. I can't believe this is really happening" He looked jumpy, really skittish and happy.
He didn't seem like the same guy from the party. He was mysterious and sarcastic when you last saw him.
He went to touch you and you moved immediately.
He seemed surprised but his face went back to resting.
It's like his personality changed to calm and collective.
"You're all I've ever wanted.. Y/n L/n"
You gulped.
His eyes pierced yours, scanning your whole body.
"Is your throat better?"
His concerned voice pissed you off but you couldn't speak.
Your throat was too swollen.
"I bet you're reallllll confused~" He leaned down with a smirk.
"Call me Mire. And don't worry, I ain't gonna hurt cha'.. I'm your soulmate after all~"
He hovered above you with a grin and insane eyes.
"Please.." you managed to get out coarsely.
He sat in a chair infront of you.
"Y/n.. don't cry.. I must be scaring you? I know it is sudden"
You looked up at him with teary eyes but he was still grinning.
"I'm so happy! You're finally all mine!" His upbeat attitude immediately changed to a sadistic calm one.
"And no one is gonna take you away.."
He stood up and went to go upstairs.
"I'll go get you medicine for your throat, sorry I had to be so rough with ya" He smiled innocently.

Mire shut the door behind him and you immediately untied the ropes on your ankles. You couldn't get the chains off your wrist.
They're attached to the wall.. What do I do..
Mire came back in the room with pain killers and a glass of water. You were shaking and scared to attack.
"Say ah~"
You did as told and took the medicine.
"Was that so hard?" He asked.
You saw Mires eyes wonder down to the ropes. You took the opportunity and kicked him in the face. He dropped the cup and glass shattered.
The keys to the chains fell out his pocket and you tried to grab them.
"I'm being so nice.." Mire stepped on your hand making you yelp.
You looked up at him and the wound on his lip had reopened.
"Do you wanna sleep on the floor? On this dirty ass cold basement floor?"
"Please don't"
"You don't listen..." He pressed your hand on the glass making you bleed. "That's okay I still love you.. do you need me to break that other ankle you love to kick with?"
"No.."
"Good girl.."
Mire lowered himself and cupped your face in his hands.
"I love you"
"I love you"
"I love you"
"It's driving me crazy, I'll kill anyone who hurts you"
His black hair hung in his face.
"Can I kiss you? Of course I can i'm your soulmate.. Tell me you love me, tell me"
You didn't say anything.
He stood up and looked down at you.
"Oh yea I forgot about your throat, I won't be able to hear your sweet voice.."
Mire walked towards the stairs.
"Get some rest~"
"No!" You shouted accidentally.
He raised an eyebrow.
"Don't leave me alone down here.."

"So you can talk?"
It was cold, dark, and creepy.
The boxes made you nervous and there was a dark corner that you swear you could see a silhouette in. The room gave you chills. The only source of light looked like it could give out at any moment.
Mire grinned.
"After making my lip bleed do you think you deserve to come upstair~?"
"Please Mire.. It's cold.. I love you.." You were desperate but making stupid decisions.
His face brightened and he ran back too you.
"I hate liars.. I knew you loved me"
He grabbed your chains. "If you try to run away.. I'll kill you"
You nodded and smiled and he unchained you.
"You can't walk can you?"
Mire went in one of the boxes and pulled out a blindfold. He wrapped it around your eyes and picked you up.
"For precautions.."
He walked up the stairs and you felt him take 2 turns and go up more stairs.
He eventually went in a room.
He set you on the bed and locked the door behind him.
"Better?"

My Life is Not a Manga, or maybe...
Xavier had a happy, humdrum life: normal friendships, a normal girlfriend, a somewhat oddball family. Until, that is, he literally stumbled through the fourth wall and discovered he was the protagonist of a manga. Now he's scrambling to maintain any semblance of control over his own life in the face of something he never imagined he would need to contend with: the power of the Genre. Hello, E.O. Tenkey here; thank you for your interest in "Not A Manga"! This was my first serial novel, and I hope you enjoy Xavier's predicament! Familiarity with manga not required (though it can't hurt)! I look forward to exploring the bounds of the Genre with you. (First volume is rated PG-13 for comic mayhem and light profanity—these are high school students, after all. Second volume is rated PG-13 to R for some violence and similar levels of profanity. Tags may or may not contain spoilers.)
