《Providence [Naruto Fan Fiction]》Chapter 46

"Done dreaming of alcohol?" I asked Tsunade after she woke up in coma.
Pain invasion was done and the village finally recognized Naruto as their savior and hero. Lame. So far, Kakashi's fine as well as the team. I might go and check them later. Neji and his team were probably somewhere helping others.
See, they've managed.
"How's the mission?" She asked after Shizune went out her room. I plop down beside her to join her meal. I kind of getting hungry by just looking at her.
"Well, it went well. Although, as expected. He resisted. My chains started to crush his heart. Let's just see how far he could get." I said before munching her potatoes. "Anyway, how's everyone before the invasion?" I didn't bother to check everyone out since I immediately went after Tsunade. She used every bit of her chakra to protect everyone.
"Well, Kakashi pestered me a lot. That's expected from your brother-hen." I anticipated that! He'll definitely throw me outside the building once he sniffed my scent around the village.
That dog!
I just release a nervous laugh before wiping those horrible scenery inside my head.
"Anyway, I heard that Naruto defeated Pain." I uttered with genuine smile on my face. Tsunade stopped eating and smirked. "Wait, how did Jiraiya accepted this?" I'm expecting a party from him! Told ya, Naruto's the child of the prophecy.
"Tsk that old fart cause a scene yesterday. According to Shizune, both he and Naruto stayed up all night to party or something with Sakura, Sai, Konohamaru and his gang, Shikamaru and his team and Guy and Kakashi. I know you can imagine what happened." She sighed before shaking her head off.
I sighed along with her. "Bro, I missed the party!" I whined.
"HAHAHAH kid. Anyway, we'll be having a Kage Summit. Hope it'll turn into something good." She said smugly. Can't blame her though, Raikage and Tsuchikage's the big fat jerks. Only Mizukage and Kazekage were the good ones to discuss with. "How long are you going to stay here, Kashina? Just get out of my room and jerk the hell out of Neji so he and Kakashi could stop pestering Shikamaru!" I was startled when she suddenly scolded me.
What does she mean pestering Shikamaru? Rally?! The Kakashi and The Neji?!
Man, I can hear Shikamaru's 'troublesome' and loud sighs here. I owe him again. I'm glad he didn't spill the tea for the first time.
"What do you mean jerk the hell out of Neji? Did you hit your head, Tsunade-sama?" But she just rolled her eyes on me before laughing like a psycho. She then threw a bottle of alcohol on me so I drank with her.
"Kid, I'm not born yesterday. I know what's happening with you and that Hyuuga boy. I recently found out that you're both living together. Did you guys fuck or whatever?" I immediately throw a pillow on her! That's definitely rude because she's the Hokage but I don't care!!!
I was so ashamed that she found out that we're both living together! It's not that I'm guilty but still felt embarrassed!

"Okay, okay. Let's stop there. First of all, Neji is a very educated and a gentleman. He wasn't a guy living for a pleasure. And yeah we live together but... but we have 2 bedrooms for each other." Besides, Neji respected me so much. And we're still young for that high intimacy.
"Psh, you're no fun." And then we both drank straight in out bottles. This alcohol is nothing but a water so I asked for another bottle. After finishing our second bottle, I decided to go out.
I'm not drunk or tipsy but normal. I decided to visit Naruto now but I know that he's probably on Ichiraku's or currently summoned by the toads or probably with Jiraiya.
I payed a visit on Asuma and Kurenai to ask their conditions and said they were fine. Kurenai handed me a pouch of chocolates before letting me leave their house made by none other than, me.
I visited Kakashi who's now playing a sushi contest on Guy-sensei. And of course, he won. He payed me a lot of lectures and scolds and Aaaa, my ears can't take it anymore. He only stopped when Tsunade summoned him for a meeting.
And then after that, an eagle showed up on me - it was the Hokage's messenger. It's for the Kage Summit next week. The very best troublesome summit ever.
Obito will announce the war, Sasuke's rage towards the Leaf, meeting of the Team 7 and I don't know what will happened anymore. But I'm sure, Sasuke's mad at me for placing a seal on him. It's not that I regretted putting that seal on him. It's for the village safety, that's why.
I sighed. Another troublesome shits will happen as soon as the Kage Summit happen. Setting that troubles aside, Tsunade requested me to become her guard for the Summit which is troublesome.
I don't know about Sasuke's plans now since Danzo's now dead. But I'm sure that he's going with that fat-ass Obito to infiltrate the Summit and declare the war. Kabuto on the other hand, I think after the summit - he'll show his face to Obito.
It's not that I care, he's the key for me to meet Hashirama and Tobirama again since he's going to reanimate Itachi and Sasuke will definitely meet him like what happened on the series. And then I hope Sasuke will resurrect Orochimaru to seek for an answer.
I sighed loudly.
I stopped walking around the village when a pair of familiar white-lavender eyes met mine along the streets. He seems as if he's in relief seeing me alive and fine so I smiled and walked towards him.
I quickly encircled my arms around his nape as soon as I reached him. I leaned my head on his shoulder to rest as soon as I felt him wrapping his arms around my waist. We stayed like that for about minutes and God knows how much I prayed that time to let us stay like this forever.
"I'm glad you're safe." I murmured. He pulled himself away to put a warm kiss on my forehead. I closed my eyes. "I'm not going to lose you, right?" I asked nervous.

I'm terrified. I know that he's going to die because of his duty but I'm going to change that. Am I going to succeed? What if I don't? How am I going to live without him?
A sudden pair of lips crashed on mine which causes me to pull myself together. It's as if Neji felt a disturbance on my mind. I cried.
I'm not going to lose him, right? I can't. I can't live without him. And God knows how much I love this man in front of me.
I answered his kisses as I tightened my grip on his nape. I'm scared of the future. I'm scared of the war and the other possibilities.
"You have me... forever." He said genuinely after breaking our long kiss. He used his thumb to wipe the tears that dripped on my cheeks and then he gave me another warm peck on my lips. "I will never leave you, Kashina."
And God knows how much I prayed that he'll fulfill his promises.

Tsunade, ANBU (Kai) and I walked outside the village and made our way to the Summit. It's quite drastic since I'm nervous for the future events any moment from now. I have no idea on how we're going to meet Sasuke, now that Danzo's gone as his reason to stop by but my instincts tells me to go to where his cannon-battle happened. I think his meeting with the former Team 7's still going to happen, eh.
I only sense that Obito would make that disaster happen.
That lone lover. Sigh.
I didn't let Tsunade and Kai-niisan notice my worries so they could focus on being alert. This year's summit location will be on the Land of Iron. The land where the samurai's are and has a low temperature which means, it's freezing shit there because that land is covered with snow.
We were greeted by the folks and the Samurai's general as soon as we've arrived. I widened my senses to find the Sand siblings, Mizukage and her gangs, Raikage with his body guards and Tsuchikage and his gang. I guess, we're late.
Mizukage's from a far land but still manage to arrive here fast.
"Nice meeting you here, Kashina." I heard Gaara's genuine voice behind me so I turned around and smiled. I nodded at Temari and Kankuro to acknowledge their presence.
"Yeah, nice meeting you too, Kazekage. I'm here as per request of the Hokage." I responded politely.
"Drop the formalities, Kashina. It's fine. Anyway, we should enter the conference now. They're already settled." And then he gestured the way inside so we all went behind him and Tsunade.
As soon as we entered the room, I spotted the other 3 Kage who's glares fixated on Tsunade and Gaara.
Damn bro, Raikage's body got no chill. What the heck, is he John Xena or something? While this Tsuchikage geezer - nah, I don't want to stress myself from him. I have so much thing to mind instead of this geezer.
"Ne, Kashina-chan, how're you calm? I think of pissing myself." I heard Kai mumbled beside me. Well, I can't blame me. We're in the presence of the Five Kage. But I wasn't disturbed or what, as long as you're not a threat. No one will touch you here.
"Just calm down. No one will touch you here." As long Tsunade's here, no one will touch us without her consent.
Their conference started. They've discussed about the previous movements of Akatsuki and their sudden invasion in Leaf. Raikage on the other hand was shocked to know that Tsunade had used her full chakra but didn't die or in state of coma. Well, that's because Shikamaru have made his way to evacuate everyone as soon as he felt Pain's odd presence outside the village.
That made Tsunade's work lessened. She only need to protect and heal the ninjas and didn't mind the villagers because of Shikamaru's evacuation plan.
Yup, Tsunade escaped death. She was only exhausted after the fight that's why she fell in comatose but then awaken after 3 or 4 days.
Suddenly, a strong gust of wind bewildered us but it's just a façade. Obito appeared in front of everyone with Sasuke behind him and is glaring with me.
Above else, it's all his fault why'd I put a seal on him. Doing however he wanted and destroying the village is out of our vocabulary so I put a little chain on him. It's amazing how he calmed himself down after experiencing the life-force of my Jutsu.
Too bad.
Everyone stopped on their tracks as soon as they heard Obito's rough chuckles. It's annoying though. I felt his gaze shifted on mine with his Sharingan blazing beneath his mask.
"Well, well, if it isn't the 5 Kage of the 5 Great Nations. What an honor to meet you." He said in his dark and low voice before plopping down to settle. Others were alarmed but I stayed calm. Nothing goo will happen if I freaked out.
This dipshit just went here to pester me with Sasuke's irritation and his declaration of his war.
A total troublesome.
I sighed before putting my guard down after seeing Sasuke being trashed by the Raikage. What a lame movement - going against the Legend. He should understand by now that he's weak to move freely.
Itachi, sometimes... I just want to hit your brother's head to knock some sense on him. I said inside of my mind. I let out a loud sigh which made them turn their gaze on me.
"What?" I mouthed but they just ignored me until they heard Obito's laugh again. "What are you dipshit laughing there?" I asked furiously.
"Nothing, kid. Still wondering who are you." Oho, so I really pick his outmost interest. Well, it's not like everyday you would see a woman like me telling you out of nowhere about your pasts and so on. So, I understand.
"Me? I'm Nara. Nara Kashina." I uttered with a smirk. "What an Akatsuki member like you doing in here?" I asked. Now, everyone's gaze and attentions were focused on us. They're all waiting for Obito's and mine's response to each other. They're probably trying to figure why the hell a Nara kid like peeked his interest.
I can feel Obito's brows raising as well as his little smirks under his masks. "Anyway, I'm here to tell you a history and my project. Care to listen?"
And there she spat anything about his project. What a dumb resolves.
Can I even save him before Zetsu could get him?

Dig to the bottom and confirm, what you really want... ...For you cannot escape suffering and death. You only have a little time. Use it wisely. Uru, a young boy with no talent for magic or fighting, sets out on a quest to become an avatar of order, the physical embodiment of righteousness, in a distant future, where control of origin energy allows people to defy physics and manipulate causality. Mocked by fate and broken by impossible dreams, all that's left is to stand in defiance to cruel existence. Because there is a Truth out there, somewhere. Singular, transcendent, eternal. What would you sacrifice for it? *** This is a fantastic sci-fi epic. It's going to blend both western and eastern traditional fantasy tropes – like might & magic and cultivation – with rational sci-fi grounded fully in reality, to produce a purely fictional fairy tale. I'd like to deliver something light-hearted and yet wholly serious. An uplifting adventure exploring the unfathomable reaches of humanity, free of indecency, with a healthy dose of humorous banter, legendary beings, and most importantly – lots of exciting, firework-filled mayhem! I've tried reading many web novels, but there's a fundamental problem with them – the eastern ones are annoyingly repetitive, superficial and morally destitute, while western ones are often dark, convoluted and profane. There's only so much one can do to filter out the bad and try to fill in the gaps with their own imagination. It's one thing to eat tasty fast food, but if it's moldy and filled with toxins, then it's not only poisonous, but also disgusting. The appreciation of beauty and higher values is disappearing at an alarming rate. Although there are throngs of talented people out there, none of them are creating what I want to witness – an inspiring battle against impossible odds, ending in absolute victory. A triumph of the spirit so overwhelming, it crushes the spectator into his seat and takes his breath away. I'm looking for a real paragon, so now I'd like to try conceiving one. *** The MC's name comes from Tolkien's Elven dictionary in Silmarillion, 'Uru' meaning 'Fire', and 'Dagnir an Uruloki' meaning 'Slayer of Dragons'. *** Note: I'm neither a native speaker, nor an aficionado of literature – I've never written anything before, and despite proficient English my literary prowess is abysmal. It therefore takes me a painful amount of effort to polish the chapters and bring them up to par. Last year I wrote and posted some on FictionPress, but I stopped since it wasn't going anywhere. The appalling amount of filth and mediocrity being peddled in all the media nowadays – a result of no conspiracy to manipulate the masses, but plain supply and demand – is no longer just the triumph of form over substance, but most worryingly corruption of the latter. Who wants to read about ideals anymore? And yet, masses flock together to gobble up perversion and depravity. That being said, I can't rule out pitiful exposure as the culprit to my failure, so I am now once again trying to increase it here, possibly for the last time. If there are still human beings present, hungry or in need of a detox after eating too much garbage, make yourselves heard, so I can see a reason to continue the story. Otherwise it's pointless – I'm not going to make fodder for the masses, and I'm most certainly not going to throw pearls before swine. I'll simply stop writing altogether.
