《Breathe Princess (Daryl Dixon Love Story)》Chapter Thirty Nine

'He's already in there, sat down with Rick'' Daryl informed us as Hershel and i came to a stop as soon as we spotted Daryl.
''But he's not suppose to be there? There's no cars'' I ran my fingers through my hair looking around still seeing no sign of a car.
''Yeah doesn't feel right'' Daryl bite his lip worry showed in his eyes. Can't blame him, everyone was even the ones back in the prison. Rick is in a room with this maniac that would do anything to kill him. The thing is we could not be in there, so it's even more worrying because after he's done with him he and his 'town' members can come out of nowhere and attack us. We could be able to take down a few of them but lets be real here, the three of us are not going to be able to take out a whole damn town loaded with guns and weapons.
''Heads up'' Daryl said hitting the cars hood as we heard a sound of the a car speeding up. I got out slamming the door shut pointing my gun towards the car gripping onto the gun as Andrea, a man that looked like he belonged in the army and a man wearing glasses that reminded me of Harry Potter stepping out of the car.
''What the hell why is your boy in there?'' Daryl barked stepping closer to me making sure i was safe.
''What he's here?'' She said in shock as Daryl gave her an answer. She huffed out clearly pissed off as she opened the metal door making me cringe at the sound it made.
I put gun back in my holster crossing my arms over my chest leaning against the car all of us looking around in silence.

''You alright?'' Daryl whispered drawing circles onto my hip. I nodded resting my head on his arm not wanting to make eye contact with anybody.
''Maybe i should go inside'' Hershel suggested gun in hand a bit raised.
''The Governor thought it would be best if him and Rick spoke privately'' The man with the glasses said then returned back to writing down on his small notebook.
''Who the hell are you?'' Daryl questioned leaning his head to the side. I chewed the inside of my mouth nervously as i gave Daryl a small squeeze.
''Milton Mamet'' He answered him looking down once again.
''Oh great he brought his butler'' I giggled hiding my face in Daryl's chest not wanting them to see me giggling.
''I'm his adviser'' He corrected making me look at him confused.
''What kind of advise?'' I chimed in biting my lip going back to my old habit.
''Planning, biters ugh you know i'm sorry i don;t have to explain myself to the henchmen's girlfriend'' He commented making me go silent.
''You better watch your mouth sunshine'' Daryl snapped letting go of me and stepping a bit closer.
''Look, if you and I are gonna be out here pointing guns at each other all day, do me a favor, shut your mouth'' The other man said making Daryl walk over to him. I called him hoping to stop him but he just didn't hear my low call. I looked at Hershel hoping he would say something and thankfully he did making Daryl step away from him and come back to us.
''There's no reason not to use this time we have together to explore the issues ourselves'' Milton said after moments of silence.
''Boss said to sit tight and shut up'' The other guy said and rolled his eyes.

''Don't you mean the Governor?'' Daryl questioned looking at him raising an eyebrow.
''It's a good thing they're sitting down, especially after what happened. They're gonna work it out. Nobody wants another battle'' 'Work it out? Nothing's going to work out Milton' I mumbled that to myself.
''I wouldn't exactly call it a battle'' Daryl said squeezing my hand as he saw how tense i was.
''I would call it a battle and I did, i recorded it'' He told us showing us his notebook.
''For what?'' I asked in curiosity making me bite my finger nails.
''Somebody's got to keep a record of what we've gone through. It'll be a part of our history'' He went on. Before he could say a thing a snarling noise was heard making us look in the direction the noise came from.
I took my knife out following Daryl as we saw a couple of walkers roaming around.
''After you'' Daryl said looking at the man stepping back offering him to go first.
''No way you first'' He responded making Andrea look at me, we both rolled our eyes pushing past them. I kicked one of the walker in the stomach slowly plugging the knife in it's skull. I plugged it out dropping the body on the ground.
By the time i turned around the walkers were taken out. I looked at Daryl frowning as i was him place a cigarette between his lips and lit it up with his lighter, i watched as he took a drag and puffed it out. I felt a discomfort in my chest as i sniffed the smell of the cigarettes, i coughed a little covering my nose walking back to where the car was parked.
I pulled my knees closer to my chest my eyes shut enjoying the moment of silence. I got up immediately dusting myself as i heard the metal door open. I watched as the Governor stepped out, Rick coming back after him neither of them saying a thing. I, myself went over to Daryl's bike sitting behind him wrapping my arms tightly around his waist as we drove off. Please let there be good news.
''He wants the prison. He wants us gone...Dead. He wants us dead for what we did to Woodbury. We're going to war''
I sighed staring up at nothing but darkness; Rick's words running through my mind.
''Daryl you awake?'' I whispered resting my head on his bare chest. He mumbled a 'yeah' after a couple of moments.
''Thinkin' bout everything?'' He asked making me nod realizing that he couldn't see me.
''Im afraid'' I blurted out the truth my voice trembling as i spoke. He pulled in making me shove my face into his chest not wanting to break down.
''Never let fear get to ya. We ain't scared of that prick, we're ending this for sure. If he lays his finger on you, hurt you in anyway swear to god i ain't gonna have mercy. I'll keep you safe you hear? I always do. You don't have to be afraid on nothin''' He peaked on my lips his words sending shivers down my spin.
''Promise me you'll stay'' I mumbled gripping on his hair hoping he would understand what i meant. He gave me a small sweet kiss wrapping his arm around my waist my head buried into his chest.
''I promise''
