《Breathe Princess (Daryl Dixon Love Story)》Chapter Eighteen

I thank'd Glenn as he handed me a basket full of peaches. I bite into one enjoying the juicy taste. Daryl wasn't allowed out of his tent due to the fact that he's still hurting from yesterday's injury.
''You should give those to Daryl'' His voice was shaky as he handed a couple more peaches out.
I took them out of his hand giving him a concerned look ''You okay Glenn? You seem kind of off''
He immediately shook his head ''No, no. Everything is fine! why wouldnt it be? Right?'' He stuttered.
I gave him one last look before i decided to just leave it alone. Glenn for sure is the most nicest person ever but to be quite honest. He's going to crack in any second and just blurt it out.
I started to head off to the tent and Annora always being Annora. I attempted to juggle with the two peaches but im known from my clumsiness. I almost dropped them on the ground but i thankfully caught them.
I peaked over as i saw the most beautiful yet confusing sight in front of me.
Daryl's hair was swiped on his eyes, his blue eyes shown brightly as the sun had hit them. He had his shirt open (Not that im complaining). His arm looked so muscular as he poked holes to the tent with his arrow.
''If a bee came and stung me and swelled up my face, its all on you Dixon'' I joked making him squint his eyes as he looked at me and returned back to what he's doing.
I entered inside, peaches in hand. I sat down Indian style, patting my legs. I grabbed the pillow putting it on lap before he rested his head on it. He shifted a couple of times until he got comfortable.
''Eat those, so you can get your strength back'' I mumbled handing over those peaches, it wasn't much but it was something. He gladly took them and dug in.
We sat there in silence. Not awkward silence. Just comfortable silence. I ran my hand through his soft hair playing with it and he just stared at me smiling.
''What?'' I said my cheeks flushing red.
''Nothin''' He said closing his eyes shut.
I groaned resting my forehead on his, lacing our hands together ''But you said that the last time''
He just kept quite and gave me a small squeeze.
I sighed and closed my eyes shut too thinking about how I honestly don't know what the hell i'm going right now. I didn't know what was dawning me to him. I mean i do have Jacob but i won't say have, i would say had. But still, me and Jacob had a promise that we would forever and ever be together no matter what. And promises can't be broken.

I jumped up as someone opened the tent. Andrea stepped in making me roll my eyes in annoyance. Talk about privacy.
''Hey'' She said giving me a fake smile.
Daryl opened his eyes and what surprised me the most is that he didn't pull nor move away. Which i was expecting.
''This is not that great but'' She sighed handing over a book to Daryl.
He flipped the pages of the book raising his eyebrows ''What no pictures?''
''I feel like shit'' She said staring directly into his eyes.
''You and me both'' He mumbled shifting, adjusting his pillow. I drew circles on his arms as i felt his wave of jealousy that just slapped me right across my face.
''I don't expect you to forgive me but if there's anything that i could do'' I frowned as she said that taking it the wrong idea.
Daryl cuts her off ''You were trying to protect the group, we're good''
She got up giving him one last time smile before heading out.
''But hey'' She stopped as he called her ''Shoot me again, you best pray i'm dead'' She grinned and walked away.
''You going?'' He asked making me look down at him in confusion.
''Going where?'' I questioned biting my bottom lip.
''Shooting practice, Rick arranged everything. You should go'' He said poking more holes into the tent.
''But i can't shoot'' I kind of felt embarrassed as i told him that. I'm afraid of loud things especially things that could kill you. Like what if i pointed it in the wrong direction and shot myself? What if i shot someone? What if i couldn't make the shot and everyone laughed at me? What if i failed?
''Kind of the point of practice'' He yawned making me giggle.
''You're like a Jaguar'' He rolled his eyes ''Seriously Daryl, i cant shoot. Everyone is going to laugh at me as they watch me fail. I'm afraid i'm going to hurt someone or i'm going to hurt myself. I don't think i feel comfortable enough shooting a gun without you by my side''
He smirked ''Look, Rick knows everything about guns. He's not going to let you do it by yourself. How about this? You go today to shooting practice and see how you do. If you don't like the way the gun is. I'll teach you how to shoot with my crossbow, how about that?''
I nodded my eyes lighting up. He patted my knee slowly getting up, i immediately pushed him down gently. ''Don't get up and hurt yourself even more''

He removed his head from my lap and rested it on my pillow.
''Are you going to be fine by yourself? I mean I can stay here with you'' I asked making him scoff.
''You don't need to babysit me Annora'' I shrugged removing his hair from his eyes.
''Just worried about you'' I mumbled fiddling with his shirt that I had on.
''I'll be fine'' He groaned. I peaked on his cheek standing up and heading out.
''Be careful'' He called making me turn and give him the thumbs up.
I approached Rick as I saw them putting everything in place. He looked at me grinning.
''You're coming huh?'' He said wrapping his arm around my shoulder.
''Guess I am''
''Okay Annora, hold your gun with your dominant hand, your thumb on one side of the grip and make sure to keep your middle, ring and pinky fingers are curled around the other side just below the trigger guard'' I nodded and followed Rick's instructions.
''Now steady the gun with your other hand, put the firing finger beside the trigger but do not pull'' I nodded again doing what he said.
''For the last thing, close your dominant eye and close the other eye. Whenever your ready, you just have to pull the trigger''
I took a deep breath, my hands getting shaky. I aimed for the bottle waiting a couple of second before i finally pulled the trigger.
I jumped up as i pulled the trigger the sound freaking me out. And guess what? I didn't hit the bottle.
Shane patted my back ''It's okay bud, you'll get this the second time''
I kept on shooting but i didn't even get a bottle to break. Carl was even doing better than i was, he got at least four. Even Beth was starting to get great at it.
''How are you doing?'' Lori rubbed my back making me frown.
''I suck'' I mumbled resting my head on her shoulder.
''Come on, try again'' I sighed deeply repeating what Rick told me to do.
I pulled the trigger again and just my luck i didn't get it. I sighed in annoyance knowing this was not going to happen.
I felt someone push me away and a shot was off. I looked back at my bottle to see it gone.
''Gosh don't you know how to use these? Even a child can pull the trigger and crack a bottle, grow up'' Andrea said making everyone go silent. I looked down feeling so embarrassed, i handed the gun to Lori. I felt tears coming, i don't get why she hates me so much. I rush to the car, getting in and slamming the door shut not wanting to deal with this.
We arrived back at the farm, i immediately got out of the car and went straight to the tent. Rick called out for me a few times but i just simply ignored and walked away.
I entered the tent being greeted by a shirtless Daryl. Before he could say anything, i went and sat down far away from him; in the corner.
''Annora'' He called but i just ignored and fiddled with my necklace. After a few tries he cursed and tried to get up and come over.
''Don't'' I glared as he sat up holding his side.
''Then talk god dammit'' His southern accent was thick and hard.
''What do you want me to say?'' I fired as he glared.
''You should thank god that i actually fucking care about you, i usually don't give any shits about anyone'' I just kept as he said that.
''Lay down'' I scooted next to him not wanting him to get hurt even more.
He laid down pulling me down with him. I rested my head on his chest listening to his heart beat.
''What's up with you?'' He questioned making me frown.
''Andrea'' I simple answered making him huff out in frustration.
''I saw the hatred from day one since you arrived. Maybe you should talk to her and deal with her ass'' Is he crazy?
''She'll punch me and break my bones'' I mumbled making him scoff.
''If she dares to hurt you, she'll have to deal with me'' I giggled at his protectiveness finding it adorable that a badass redneck would actually say that.
We stayed there in silence before i earned the confidence to actually go and talk to her.
''Holler when you need me, I'll come sprinting'' I rolled my eyes.
''Like you're in the shape for that'' I said making him slap my butt as i got up. I fake glared and cracked a smile before exiting the tent.
I spotted her beside the RV making me feel a bit nervous but i just shook it off. I took a deep breath and started walking over there.
Here goes nothing
