《Breathe Princess (Daryl Dixon Love Story)》Chapter Fourteen

I laid on my side closing my eyes hoping that Carol would stop crying. I haven't slept enough for the past two days because of the amount of grief Carol was going through and it was starting to get to me, bad. Anxiety is starting to build up and I didn't know how to control it.
While Andrea cleans her weapon, Carol cries in her corner. I moved closer to Daryl as soon as I felt a sharp pain in my chest. He wrapped his arm around my waist bringing me closer him. A small groan of pain escaped my lips as he ran his fingers in my hair ''What's wrong?'' He whispered keeping it quiet.
''Can't sleep'' I lied, it was a lame excuse but i really don't want anyone to know about my secret.
I closed my eyes as he continued to run his fingers in my hair; it was relaxing. I felt another pain in my chest but I simply ignored it. Speaking of pain, Carol's sobs got louder and louder each second. Daryl stopped what he's doing. He cussed out in frustration getting up in anger. He grabbed his crossbow looking down at me.
''Going for a walk, maybe find the little girl. You coming?'' I thought about it for a moment before nodding and grabbing his hand. We walked outside ready to leave, when suddenly I felt a dump on my shoulder
''I'm coming with you'' Andrea said popping out of nowhere. Daryl looked at the standing guard on the roof straight to Dale.
''Going in the woods, hopefully to find the little girl. She ain't far, she might see my flashlight'' Dale looked at us with concern especially at me.
''At this hour? You sure that's reasonable?'' He said making me grab Daryl's hand, hoping something bas wouldn't happen.
''Don't worry about it'' Daryl said lacing our fingers making my heart skip a beat. He was the first to go down, Andrea second. I slowly breathed out afraid of heights, Daryl grabbed my waist pulling me into his arm and down onto the ground.. I thank'd him making him nod, Andrea looked at me glaring. I shrugged in discomfort grabbing Daryl's arm, signaling him of what was going on as I continued to walk along side of him.

''Do you really think we'll find Sophia?'' Andrea asked making me roll my eyes, of course we will.
''It's crazy how you shoot the same head same as the others. It is only beginning'' He said as he huffed out in annoyance
''You believe, don't you?'' She asked stepping closer to him. I ignored the feeling inside of me walking in front of Daryl.
I hugged myself holding onto my backpack strap. He tried to move close to me but I just moved away. ''Hey, we're in Georgia. She had to take refuge in a farm, or somewhere around there. It happens all the time. People lose, but they do not necessarily die''
He tried to move close to me but I just moved away. ''She's only twelve. Shes a kid'' Andrea protested making me frown
''I was smaller when I got lost. Nine days into the forest eating berries and wiping my butt with fucking oatmeal'' He said '
'Someone found you?'' I asked keeping my voice down.
''My old man had gone to get drunk with a waitress. Merle was still reformatory. Nobody noticed my absence. I found my way all alone. I spun directly into the kitchen to make me picnics. More fear than harm. No hobos, except that my ass itched severe'' I giggled and Andrea laughed. Daryl looked at me giving me a quick smile.
''Sorry! I'm sorry. I should not laugh, it's not funny that happened to you'' Andrea said chuckling making me fall silent.
''The only difference is that for Sophia, there are people who seek it. And that is a big advantage''
Suddenly we hear a rustle of leaves making my breath hitch and I leaned towards Daryl ''What was that?'' I asked, he shushed me and led us to that direction.
We reached the tent that we came into earlier. Sooner or later we found that a walker is hanging from a tree. Daryl took the note from the trunk "I was bitten, fever is emerged, that life became hell, I prefer to drop the case'' Daryl read ''This moron did not know that, to finish, we had to bring out the head? What a puss! He missed and it will attract all the lads around! A giant bait'' He said making me flitch.

''I'll puke my guts'' Andrea said putting her hands on her knees ''If you feel like it, do not hold back'' He said but I simply ignored her.
''No, it's okay. But if we can change the subject, it's not denial. Where did you learn to shoot?'' She said stepping closer to him and trust me, it was starting to get uncomfortable for me.
''Should earn a crust. However, if one has something in common with the walkers, it is the food. I bet this is the first time it is as close to a four hours after its transformation it. This is pathetic. It hangs like a huge pinata. And his buddies came biting her stump to the bone'' Andrea puked at Daryls comment making me sigh wanting to head back to the RV.
''We were not supposed to change the subject?'' Andrea said making him chuckle.
''It will teach you how not to make fun of my ass scratching'' He said making me mad for some reason.
''Can we leave?'' I said quietly hoping they would hear but they didn't.
''You're not gonna get it?'' Andrea asked making him shake it head.
''Well, no. It hurt anyone. And I will not spoil an arrow to it. He wanted to finish, huh, that's his choice. It's not my problem to me'' Andrea approaches the walker, who agitated.
''An arrow in exchange for my answer. It's going to you, right?'' Andrea flirted. I let out a huff retieing my hair.
''Im not sure I want to live. I do not know if I should consider myself happy, or if it is a poisoned chalice'' She answered.
''I do not call that a response'' He points his crossbow to the walker and pulls. The arrow reaches the creature in the head, ending his hungry gasps ''Waste of an arrow''
He let his hand out wanting to help me up, i ignored his offer getting up there by myself. Even though it was hard because the pain chest was coming back.
''You okay?'' He asked as he saw me gasp for air. I ignored him, walking away and went behind the RV taking puffs from my inhaler, slowly feeling better.. I got ready to leave but I felt someone pull me back and push me against the RV.
''What do you want?'' I snapped harshly which was new because I can't imagine myself doing that to Daryl.
''What did i do now?'' He asked.
''What do you mean?''
''Don't play games Annora. You have been totally ignoring me after what happened back there'' Then it hit me to what he was referring to.
''Is it because of Andrea?'' He asked making me roll my eyes ignoring that question.
''Can we head off to bed? Im really tired'' I complained trying to push past him only getting held back.
At a sudden moment, he grabbed my waist pulling my body closer to him, he pressed his forehead on mine. My heart beat a thousand mile. Daryl pecked on my cheek making me freeze ''Goodnight Annora''.
