《BEST FRIEND'S BROTHER || RM》28

Waking up the next morning I felt happy. I glanced over to see Namjoon sound asleep beside me and thoughts of last night came back to me.
That was my first time ever doing anything with a guy and I'm glad it was Namjoon. I was grateful he wasn't trying to rush me into anything I wasn't ready to do.
I sat up before crawling out of the bed, grabbing my clothes from yesterday and slipping them back on.
As I was doing so, I heard a groan from behind me which belonged to Namjoon as he stirred awake.
"Morning." I say as I finished getting dressed before his eyes opened. "Good morning, how did you sleep?" Namjoon asks as he too gets up, walking to his closet and pulling out a hoodie and slipping it over his shirtless frame.
"I slept okay, you?" I ask as I watch him get dressed. "Pretty good." He chuckles as he makes his way over to me, stopping right in front of me.
"Hard to sleep bad when you're sleeping next to someone as beautiful as you." Namjoon says, his words instantly making me blush.
Before I could even think of a response, Namjoon took my chin in his hands, pressing his lips to mine softly.
I wrapped my arms around his waist, bringing him as close to me as I could. When he pulled away, he kissed the top of my head before we headed downstairs for breakfast before school.
Upon getting to the kitchen, I saw everyone seated at the table. Instantly, everyone's eyes were on us.
"Morning!" Leah grins widely as if she already knew exactly what happened last night. "Morning." I say as I walked over and sit down at the seat across from her.
"How did you two sleep? You behaved right?" Namjoon's mom asks as she looks over at Namjoon as he sits down in the spot beside me.

"Yes, relax." Namjoon says in a joking voice. His mom looked from him to me then back down at her food.
"Good because you're still too young for children." Her words made me want to hide away, feeling embarrassed.
"I got it, I know. Don't worry." Namjoon laughs as he grabs some of the pancakes that were on the table and added them to his plate.
"Might have to worry about Leah though." Namjoon says and I can tell he's just trying to get the attention off of us, which I was grateful for.
"Yeah right, I'm safe." Leah says, basically outing herself to her mother and brother that she's having sex already.
Namjoon makes a face as he continues to eat his food, ignoring the comments his mom made next about Ki-hyun and Leah.
Luckily the rest of breakfast no one said anything else about that topic and I was glad. I knew I'd have to tell Leah about what I had done but I definitely wouldn't be going into detail.
I'm sure she wouldn't want to know all of that anyway since it was with her brother. At least it wasn't sex because that would be even more traumatizing.
Some things just weren't meant to be shared, no matter how close you are.
---
As we all got to school, Leah pulled me away from Namjoon and I knew exactly what she wanted to talk about.
As soon as we were alone by my locker, she exploded.
"What happened?! I need to know!" She whisper yelled. Right away I could tell she was too eager to know.
"Are you sure you really want to know? It's a bit weird since that's your brother." I say, feeling a bit uncomfortable talking about it to her.
"I don't need the details I just gotta know, did you guys have sex?" She asks as she bounces up and down in her spot.

"No, not yet. We did some other stuff though." I say and she nods, "To you or you did stuff for him?" She asks.
"Just for me so far." I say and Leah wiggles her eyebrows. "Was it nice did you enjoy yourself?" She asks. I felt embarrassed answering that, but I did anyway.
"Yeah, it was good." I say, my face heating as I did. Leah grinned widely as she made a face. "Gross, but I'm glad you enjoyed yourself. Before you know it you two will be doing it like rabbits." She says and I swat at her.
"Sh." I say which makes her laugh at how awkward I felt talking about it. If it was any other guy, it wouldn't matter but it wasn't just any guy, it was my best friend's brother.
It doesn't get more awkward than that.
---
At lunch time, I went to meet up with Namjoon in the cafeteria where I instantly spotted him at the last place I expected to see him; Jay's table.
He wasn't sitting with them though but instead he was standing next to it, talking to Jay.
I had no idea why, but I wanted to find out. I waited until Namjoon was done doing whatever it was he was doing before he made his way over to me.
"What was that about?" I ask as soon as he sits down across from me. Namjoon rolled his eyes as he said, "He motioned me over. He wanted to rub it in my face that you two are being assigned as partners in that mixed ages bio class you guys have together." My eyes instantly widened at that.
"How?! I wasn't even made aware of that. I need to talk to my teacher to change that right away, fuck that." I say instantly.
"Yeah, you definitely should. I don't want you working on anything with that douchebag." Namjoon says, now seeming annoyed.
I sighed, feeling annoyed as well. Why Jay of all people. That was just my luck.
After lunch I'd have to go talk to the teacher and get my partner changed. I had no idea how Jay even found out before me when we didn't even go to that class yet.
Frustrated, I ate my lunch.
-
Once the lunch period ended, I said a quick goodbye to Namjoon before I hurried off to talk to my teacher about changing my partner.
I made sure to get there before everyone else, just to make sure I actually had time to talk to her about it.
"Quite early today huh?" she smiles as soon as she sees me enter the classroom. "I actually need to talk to you about this partner thing. I heard I was being paired with Jay and I need to change that. I have bad history with him and I really would prefer to not be partnered with him." I say, almost desperate sounding.
By the look on her face, I knew right away I was screwed. "I'm sorry Ms. L/n but I need you to work with him. You have the highest grade in this class and Jay has the lowest. I need you to help him out with this." She says.
"Please, I really need a new partner. Isn't there anyone else that can help him?" I ask, practically pleading.
"I'm sorry, there's not. It'll go by fast I'm sure, it'll be alright!" She says reassuringly but that meant nothing to me.
At the end of the day, I'm screwed.

The Hopeful Project
A pair of twins stumble their way into the world of blood magic, lizard people, and cultivation powered mecha-armor. And by stumble, I mean one of them falls on their face while the other laughs. [Writathon Participant] People read this far? What are you doing down here? Escape! The chapter buttons are over there, stop reading this. No? Fine. This book is an excuse to put a world I spent around 3-4 months of my life building over the pandemic into writing. I was planning on doing the writathon last year, but somehow managed to confuse October and November. Dont laugh, I'm already ashamed enough. This book is about a pair of twins, doing twin things: calling each other names, going to school, learning how to use their blood to become unstoppable, juggernaut, killing machines... You know, twin stuff. It's like if someone stuffed a school arc inside of a tournament arc inside of a war arc. A good time, basically. I hope you enjoy it.
