《BEST FRIEND'S BROTHER || RM》26

As soon as Y/n got there my mom and Leah both wasted no time in engulfing her in a bone crushing hug.
"It's so good to see you, how is work?" Y/n asks as she sits down next to my mom, getting lost in conversation.
I couldn't help but to smile as I watched the two of them. I loved that my mom loved Y/n. It made me happy knowing the two of them were already so close, but I guess that's just one of the perks of dating someone you've known since you were a kid.
"So, I hear you and Namjoon are dating." My mom says and Instantly Y/n's cheeks become pink. "Yeah, for a little bit now." Y/n says as she flashes her eyes towards me.
"I'm glad you two are finally together. You've liked him for so long and I'm glad he likes you too. I was always routing for you two." My mom says and Y/n smiles and nods, trying to hide her embarrassment.
"Alright leave her alone." I say as I join Y/n's side. My mom laughs as she turns her attention to Leah's boyfriend.
"I'll focus on you then. You're treating my daughter good right? I'm a cop you know." She starts and not caring to hear this, I motion Y/n to follow me.
We head towards the kitchen so I can grab my food I wanted. As I look for what I want, Y/n asks me about detention.
"Don't even get me started." I sigh, annoyed at the thought. "That bad, huh?" She asks as she leans against the counter, watching as I rummage through the fridge.
"Oh, for sure. They just never know when to stop." I sigh as I pull out a snack before turning to Y/n. "Let's go up to my room." I say and just as I do I hear my mom yell out, "Keep the door open!"

Ignoring her, we head upstairs where I instantly close my door, earning a yell from her downstairs but I ignore it.
"What do you want to do?" I ask as I glance over at Y/n who gets herself situated on my bed. "Want to watch something?" She asks as she leans up against my pillows, getting comfortable.
"Sure." I say as I sit down beside her and turn on the tv. I put on a random movie and we watch it as I eat my snack.
Once my food was gone, I leaned over towards Y/n, placing my hand on hers. From the corner of my eye, I can see her smile.
I glanced over at her to see her looking down at our hands.
I used my other hand to turn her face towards mine before I leaned in to kiss her. Her lips pressed softly against mine as I took my hand from hers, snaking it around her waist, pulling her into me more.
Knowing It couldn't get too crazy since my mom and others were here, I made sure I didn't get to into it.
When I pulled away Y/n smiled as she went in to peck my lips again. I couldn't help but to smile at how cute she was.
Just then my door came flying open as Leah stood in the doorway, Ki-Hyun behind her. "What are you two lovebirds up to?" Leah asks, not caring about barging in.
"Just watching a movie." Y/n says as she backs up from me, putting space between us once again. "We should all hang out. Let's play a game." Leah says, coming in before I could even give her an answer.
"What game?" Y/n asks as she glances over at me. "Would you rather? Truth or dare? You pick." Leah says as she leans into Ki-hyun's side.

"I guess truth or dare." Y/n says as she looks nervous saying so. "Perfect, I'll start!" Leah says then looks directly at me. "Truth or dare?"
Letting out a breath I say Truth. "Have you ever thought about going all the way with Y/n?" Both Y/n and I got wide eyes at Leah's words.
I could see y/n blushing instantly. I felt embarrassed having to answer this. I wasn't surprised though, of course Leah would ask a question like that.
"Remember you have to tell the truth." Leah says as she wiggles her eyebrows as she shoots Y/n a wink.
"Yeah, I have." I say, my cheeks hot as I can feel Y/n looking at me along with everyone else. From beside me, I see Y/n's face turn a darker shade of red.
"Maybe you should get on that." Leah says and Y/n reaches out and smacks her arm, clearly very embarrassed.
The rest of the game Leah continued to ask me and Y/n questions just like that and by the end Y/n wouldn't even look at me.
"I'm gonna head to bed, I assume you're staying over? I'll see you in the morning." Leah winks as her and Ki-hyun leave the room.
Once it's just Y/n and I again I can feel the awkwardness in the air. I knew Y/n felt uncomfortable but of course she already knew I wasn't ever going to pressure her if she wasn't ready.
I was okay with waiting for her, no matter how long that was.
"Want to lay down?" I ask to Y/n who was staring down at her phone. "Yeah, sure." She says without looking up.
"Want something to sleep in?" I ask and then she looks over at me, nodding. I grabbed out one of my t-shirts and as I went to reach for pants I realized.
"I don't think any of my pants will fit you." I say, knowing they would be too big.
"I can just sleep in the shirt." She says and I gulp. Just a shirt... "Okay." I manage out as I hand the shirt to her before she disappears from the room to go change.
I get into comfortable clothes as I lay down, waiting till Y/n came back before I turned the lights off. As I laid there, I couldn't help but to think about all of the things Leah had said and all of the questions y/n had answered.
I felt a little uncomfortable and as bad as it sounds, it definitely got me thinking and that made my other half a little too eager.
Just then my bedroom door opened and in walked Y/n in nothing but my t-shirt that stopped mid thigh.
She doesn't say anything as she crawls into bed beside me, wasting no time in getting under the covers.
I turned the lights off as we both stayed silent. It wasn't until I felt Y/n shift slightly that I noticed how far away she was laying from me.
"You don't have to sleep so far away, ya know." I say and Y/n shifts closer. To my surprise, she came over, laying her head on my chest.
I don't say anything as I wrap my arm around her, my hand resting on her hip. I could feel the hem of the shirt just below my fingertips.
I bite my lip as I look over, trying to make out her face in the darkness. I reached my free hand over, lifting her head upwards.
"Hmm?" Y/n asks, her breathing calm.
I couldn't hold back in that moment.
"Kiss me."

Magic Apprentice
Legends speak of an era where demons and gods once lived with one another. Different in nature and identical in strength, the two co-existed peacefully together. That is, until the right to govern humanity divided them. The Glorious Crusade; as it became to be known, caused space and time to be divided and the world separated into differing realms. Human civilization rebuilt itself after thousands of years, and without the gods or demons, they became the masters of their world. Yet the gods and demons remain. Time and time again, the two have constantly attempted to breach the human world and regain supremacy—Elric, the son of a grocer, was born in such an era. Inept in the art of magic, Elric was somehow able to apprentice himself under the lecherous and rogue of a magus, Victor. Here lies the story of Elric, Belladonna, Jerry, and Kite. The Ruins of Magincia
They say all things end in time, but the exalted City of Magi would’ve begged to differ. Yet when an attempted coup goes wrong, the city finds itself brought to the very brink of destruction. In the wake of the calamity that left no survivors, the autonomous infrastructure still operating the ruined city seeks to restore what was lost. Luckily for it, the Mana-devoid Universe it awoke in holds an unexpected surprise: a planet full of sentient life forms. All capable—with a little help—to become the next generation of Magi. Back on Earth, Millie McArthur is a pregnant out-of-work mechanic struggling with the prospect of moving back in with her parents after leaving her unfaithful fiancé. That is until she finds herself just one of the hundreds that have been shanghaied by the callous artificial constructs still manning the ruins of Magincia. Now, she must struggle to learn magic, compete for resources, get good 'grades,' and fulfill the seemingly arbitrary requirements for her future job in this broken city. All while keeping herself, and her son, alive. Is the miracle of magic really enough to make up for all the pain? The Ruins of Magincia is a dark fantasy that's heavy on the drama (LitRPG aspects are very light). Chapter lengths can be anywhere from 7k-12k and there's no current release schedule as I'm focusing on wrapping up volume one.

The Queen's Guard
Friedrich Schreiner is a proud gefreiter of the Queen's Guard, 2nd Company: the finest fighting infantry on the continent (barring the Temple Guard; but please don't bring that up). Service is honourable but, with the Empire on a peacetime footing, terribly boring. Affairs take a dramatic turn for the worse when a mysterious invader uses a forgotten and taboo magical means to breach the capital, plunging the nation into chaos and endangering the royal family. With events spiraling out of control, Friedrich is entrusted with a critical mission. Will hot lead, cold steel, and his determination be enough to see him through? The Queen's Guard is what I'm calling a black powder fantasy story: it's set in a loose equivalent of the early 18th century (plus or minus a few pieces I decided I wanted or didn't want). Magic exists, but not in a spell-slinging sort of way: it's Earth-shaking undertakings or minor enchantments forged in by master craftsmen, the grand working of a secretive cabal or a slight nudge to the course of a blow. I, the eternal optimist, have a full trilogy in mind. The first book is The Prince's Arquebusier, hence the cover and the title disagreeing! This is my shot at 2021's NaNoWriMo and RR Writathon! I've hitherto been terrible at writing long-form fiction, so this is an effort to break out of that by having some accountability in being supposed to post chapters regularly. Here's hoping it works! I have an outline, but not too much detail. I'll do my best to avoid continuity errors, doing anything glaringly stupid, or otherwise fluffing my lines, but I can't make any promises on that. Please do let me know any feedback! Always happy to improve. [participant in the Nov 2021 Royal Road Writathon challenge]

Bukowski's Broken Family Band
Paranormal horror-comedy with heart. Manic rock musician Jaymie Brzezinski claims to have been born at the moment of Charles Bukowski's death. Now the mad poet-incarnate fronts a band made up of his panic-prone twin, wise-beyond-their-years non-binary younger sibling, and a formidable but mostly stoned guitar goddess. When a murder at a house concert sets in motion a series of strange and inexplicable events, the Bukowski Brothers find that they have more to worry about than just getting through the set list. Like the X-Files meets Scott Pilgrim in the Scooby Squad's van. Updates on Mondays and Fridays. Note: Contains some foul language and reflects some poor lifestyle choices.
