《BEST FRIEND'S BROTHER || RM》5

Luckily the nurse let me leave which I was insanely greatful for. There was no way I was going back to class after what happened so either way, I would have gone home.
As soon as I got into my bedroom I headed to the mirror, looking at what damage the ball had caused. I groaned as I saw a slight bruising on my cheek bone and a busted lip that was covered in dried blood.
I was pissed at Brittany for doing this. She was an awful person and all for some guy. I would never be that horrible. It was disgusting.
Sighing, I made my way to the bathroom to clean up my lip and change out of my dirty gym clothes. I changed into a big hoodie and some sweat pants before making my way back to my bedroom.
I crawled into bed and buried myself under the covers. Although the nurse had told me to try to stay awake in case of a concussion, I didn't care. At least if I didn't wake back up I wouldn't have to face Namjoon and the others again.
To say I was embarrassed was an understatement. If only I had tried to move this wouldn't have happened. I was angry with myself but more importantly, I was angry at Brittany.

"Y/n!" I hear as a weight bounces down on my bed, before hands begin to shake me roughly. I open my eyes, blinking to try to adjust to the light in my face.
Hovering above me with a horrified look on her face was Leah. "What are you doing here?" I groan, pushing her away from me.
"I've been trying to wake you up for the past twenty minutes. I thought you were dead." Leah says and my eyes widen as I force myself to sit up.

"Sadly, no." I say as I grab my head, the pounding sensation driving me crazy. "I hate Brittany. I can't believe she did this to you." Leah huffs as she sits criss cross next to me.
"Well she is awful." I groan as I prop myself up against the wall so that I could better face her. "So how did you get to the nurses office if you were knocked out. Did they come get you?"
I pulled in my lips, knowing as soon as I mentioned Namjoon she would flip out. She really hated Namjoon being around me, she always had.
"Well...about that." I say and Leah looks at me confused. "I guess Namjoon brought me there. He said so himself."
Leah's mouth turns into a frown as her eyebrows furrow. "Seriously?" She asks and I nod, not really saying much else.
"How weird. I guess that's good though seeing as you got hurt and needed help. I'm glad you're okay." Leah says as she leans forward and hugs me.
"Me too. I'm just embarrassed to go back to school. Luckily tomorrow is Saturday so I don't have to deal with it right away." I say. I got lucky with the weekend being here or else I'd have to suffer through the embarrassment.
"I'm sure everyone will have forgotten about it after a weekend of partying so don't worry." Leah says reassuringly as she pulls back from me then stands up.
"I have to get going though. I just wanted to stop by and see if you were okay." She says and I smile. "Yeah, I'm good. Thank you." I say. Leah grins as she heads for the door.
"Hey, what are friends for." I laugh as I wave goodbye, listening for the door as she exits.

Once I was finally alone again I just simply laid there and stared up at the ceiling. Now to spend the whole weekend hoping and praying that Leah was right.
Hoping that everyone would forget before Monday.

As soon as I walk into my house I sprint up the stairs and right to my brother's bedroom. I don't even bother to knock as I barge right in.
Of course, as I had expected, he was sitting there playing video games. I could hear him before I even made it halfway up the steps.
"What do you want?" Namjoon asks, noticing me from the corner of his eye. "You were the one who took y/n to the nurses office?" I ask, confirming what y/n had told me.
Namjoon paused him game, removing his headset before looking over at me. "Yeah, why?"
"She said you stayed there until she woke up. Why?" I ask, leaning against his doorframe. Namjoon raised his eyebrows then. "I was just making sure she'd actually wake up." He says.
"There's nurses there for a reason. You didn't need to stay so why did you, really?" I ask, knowing he wasn't telling me the truth.
"Give it a rest, Leah. I was trying to be nice like you always claim I'm not. What's the big deal." Namjoon says as he makes a face at me.
"The big deal is I don't want you getting any ideas. Y/n is my best friend and I won't let her get tangled up with a guy like you." I say seriously and Namjoon laughs.
"That's not really your choice to make, you get that right? Besides, I'll get with whoever I want to get with."
My brows furrowed as I crossed my arms over my chest. "You're not seriously thinking about trying to get with y/n are you?" I ask in disbelief.
Never in my life had Namjoon even acted like he liked y/n so I wasn't sure why now all of a sudden he seemed to be acting like this.
"I never said that but who knows, she is pretty cute." My nose scrunched in disgust at his words. Not because I disagreed with him, but because I hated that he thought that way of her.
I didn't want him to see her has anything more then my kid best friend. The thought of them together weirded me out and I didn't like it one bit.
I bite my tongue as I look Namjoon in the eyes. "Just stay away from her, got it." I hiss as I turn around to leave the bedroom.
The last thing I heard before I close the door is a very quiet,
"Maybe."
