"What if I were to leave, what would happen to you?" Itsuko asked, closing her eyes, her head resting on Kakashi's shoulder.

"Why the question?" Kakashi turned his head to look at her before he continued walking down the empty street. Silence. Itsuko didn't answer his question. She looked side ways, sadness drowning her away.

"I don't know. I mean, I'll live but perhaps I'd be more dead than the dead." He mumbled, he didn't want to imagine a life without her in it. It would be the worst punishment he could ever receive.

"Put that aside, I love you." Itsuko suddenly brushed it off, pushing herself upwards, kissing him on the cheeks. "Do you ever wash your mask?" Itsuko suddenly thought, giving him a stare.

"And what if I don't?" Kakashi smirked, laughing. "Of course I do, otherwise it'd be so unhygienic. Look there's a full moon tonight."

"Yea, the stars are out too. Let's rest over on the grass patch over there. I'm not as light as I seem you know." Itsuko requested. She knew she wasn't the lightest and didn't want to tire Kakashi out.

Kakashi smiled, stating that he wasn't tired and didn't need a rest. But he still brought her over and put her down anyways. They both sat on laid down on the grass patch, looking up, star gazing.

"I love the stars. Don't you?" Kakashi smiled, his hands behind his head as he laid down on the grass. There wasn't any streetlights nearby, making the place a dark patch

But it wasn't, the stars lighted up the place along with the moon.

"Stars can only shine in darkness, without experiencing hardship, being in the dark, you would never be able to shine. It's what I've always told myself when things get harsh. Star gazing have always been my favourite, I do it every night I can. I just never had a chance to do it with someone else." She laughed, her eyes hiding much more than just agony.

"Really? We can do this often if you like." Kakashi smiled, looking at the big round full moon. He thought, if he was the moon, he'd be a full moon every time he was with her. She made him a full, he didn't know what he would do without her. She wad his everything.

"Itsuko!" Tsunade rushed her wag into Itsuko's house, nearly you breaking the door if Kakashi weren't to have opened it just in time.

"Lady Tsunade! You shouldn't just burst into someone's house like that!" Shizune rushed into the house, after Tsunade. "I'm so sorry, Kakashi! Wait, Kakashi? What are you doing here?"

"Can't my boyfriend be at my house?" Itsuko came out of her room, frowning. It wasn't the best way to start the morning with the Hokage and her assistance breaking into your house.

"Who was that? You promised you'd tell me." Tsunade immediately asked, not even waiting for Itsuko to question their arrival at her house. She had already waited a whole night for the answer and she wasn't going to wait any longer.

"Where's Jiraiya?" Itsuko asked without answering Tsunade's question. Taken aback by the odd, sudden question, Tsunade answered without giving it a second thought. "Probably out preparing for another mission. He plans on infiltrating Amegakure to find out more about the Akatsuki."

"Damn, I knew he was going to try something dumb like that. Thanks for the information. I'll be on leave for the next week, it's been quite awhile since I've had any rest anyways." Itsuko said, walking out of the house. "See you later , Kakashi."

"What about the guy from yesterday? You haven't told me about him yet." Tsunade turned. Itsuko waved her arms, not turning back. She was already waking away from her house. "You don't need to know, he isn't going to be coming back. If you're thinking about arresting him or punishing him, don't. You wouldn't be able find him anyways."

"Jiraiya! I thought I'd find you here." Itsuko smirked, taking a seat beside Jiraiya.

"What brings you here? Reflecting on your actions? Did you do something regrettable again?" Jiraiya scoffed, his eyes not leaving where he had been staring at, Minato's gravestone. "I honestly thought he was going to be the prodigy. Maybe it was a position meant for you, since you're so strong."

"How could a prodigy be a murderer like me? You know my past Jiraiya, there's no way I'm the prodigy, if anything, I'd be the one destroying the prodigy." Itsuko laughed softly, ending with a sigh. "So, if you know I'm definitely not the prodigy, neither is Minato, why are you sending yourself to your grave?"

"You heard about it already? I was planning on telling you my success after I make it back, looks like that wouldn't work now." He laughed, giving Itsuko a soft punch on the shoulders.

Itsuko glared at him, punching him back much harder. "You know how barely anyone knows anything about that place. No one has ever lived to tell the tale, Jiraiya."

"And I'll be the first!" Jiraiya joked, hiding his fear and feeling of reluctant well but not well enough to hide from Itsuko. She was known for being observant, she knew every time when a person isn't feeling right, perhaps a skill she mastered from observing people from ever since she was young. She needed it if she was going to survive. She needed to know if her enemy was in a bad mood, in a hurry, calm or even happy. It gave her great advantage when she knew simple information like that, which she can use to her advantage really well.

"Don't kid yourself. You won't make it unless I'm going with you." She rolled her eyes, her expression dropped. Sure they weren't the two closest humans on earth, but there was still a connection between them. Back when she was a child, Minato had introduced her to him and he had helped with her training whenever he was available, which was rare but they did spend time together.

"I'm not going to let you come with me, you still got a lot you've got to do with your life, you can't afford to risk that for an old man like me." He chuckled, tears slowly dropping down. He covered his face, taking deep breaths, trying to calm himself down. Breaking down and rethinking on his decision was the last thing he wanted right now. But his words were honest, coming out of him without his control. "It was a pretty horrible life. Didn't even get a girlfriend, didn't to find the prodigy that I sacrificed so much of my time searching for. I didn't even get to watch you and Kakashi go out much."

Then, he fell silence. Itsuko could distinctively hear his heavy breathing and sniffing. He sighed, looking up. He gave Itsuko a warm smile, patting her head. His eyes were red and so was his nose, tears were still at the edge of his eyes but they no longer fell. "Take care of yourself and Konoha for me alright?"
