Today is the day of the field trip, I wake up, took a shower, get dressed and go downstairs to eat breakfast. After I say goodbye to my mother and sister I head to school to board the bus.

As I arrived at school, I saw a bunch of students with their luggage and backpack waiting for the bus. I got into my class spot. I sit on bench near that area and begin fiddling with my phone. I was having a peaceful time until someone come over to me.

???: "Hey! You're Shizuki Kenji kun right?"

Kenji: "yeah, that's me"

???: "I'm Kuroha Nagisa pleasure meeting you!"

Kenji: "the pleasure is mine. So what brought you here?"

Nagisa: "oh I just want to say 'hi' that's all." She said while sitting down next to me.

Kenji: "you sure?" I ask her to make sure she didn't get the wrong person.

Nagisa: "mhm" she said while nodding. "it's not wrong to greet your fellow classmates right Shizuki kun?"

Kenji: "I supposed that's right"

"Everyone from class 2-B please queue over here we're gonna depart now. I repeat, everyone from class 2-B please queue over here!"

Nagisa: "well I'm gonna go grab my things now! See you Shizuki kun" she said while waving at me and after she fade with the pile of students trying to queue.

I grab my backpack and stand up. Heading to the line and start queueing. The line didn't last that long. It's only five to six minutes. We need to find seats with our names. I finally found my seat. As I look to see who's name is gonna be beside me. The "Kuroha Nagisa" is written on the piece of paper stick to the seat.

Kenji: "talk about luck" I said to myself.

A few minutes later Kuroha san came.

Nagisa: "oh Shizuki kun. Who would know that we would be seated next to each other." She said while flashing a smile at me. She took her seat and start a conversation.

We talked about various thing. Like our interest, our family, current relationship and many more.

Nagisa: "Shizuki kun I didn't expect you to hate raw tomato that much. I expected you're the type of person who will eats anything that exist." She said while holding back a laugh.

Kenji: "you can laugh you know." Immediately after i said that she laugh but contain herself because we're in a bus.

I noticed something. Miku is not here. Maybe she's just late.. but we're about to leave already. She has her reason to not come I guess..

Nagisa: "Shizuki kun, do you have any hobbies? I can play the violin and I like to draw sometimes"

Kenji: "well I can play the guitar and I'm good at rhythm games" I said while showing her my phone.

Nagisa: "wow, You can play rhythm games! I've tried playing it on my friend phone once, but I guess it's just not for me. The moment the song starts playing I lost already hehe" she said while rubbing the back of her neck.

We continue to chat and talks about various things as the bus continue to move to our destination. But unfortunately, we're stuck in a traffic. It's because of the snow is too thick and it makes the all vehicle here stop.

Many students have fall asleep already. Nagisa then decide to sleep as well. As for me, I'm currently playing animal crossing on my switch. When I was busy playing suddenly I can feel something on my shoulder. It was Nagisa's head. She's laying her head on my shoulder.. this feels oddly familiar. The feeling of having someone on my shoulder. This reminds me of Maya..

Kenji: "Thank you for befriending me, Kuroha Nagisa" I whisper so the other students won't hear me.

Shizuki Kenji kun, a boy in my class who didn't really interact much. We've been in the same class for two years now. He really caught my eyes.

He always come early to class just to avoid people's stare. He got average grade on purpose just to not stand out. He always eat lunch at the cafeteria and sometimes he goes to the library. I don't know why, but out of all the boys in my school, Shizuki kun stands out the most for me. Even though he didn't want to stand out, in my eyes he's the one who stand out. I finally had the courage to talk to him today.

My friends will always tease me when the topic about crushes come up. Most of them will always says some popular student name or someone from the sports team. Meanwhile, I have a crush on someone who doesn't even want to stand out.

The real reason I have a crush on him is because he saves me in our first years.

*Flashback to first years*

It's the first day of school. I'm trying to see which class I'm in. I can't really see it since there are a lot of people in front of me. Suddenly a black hair boy comes to my side. He looked at the board and saw his name immediately.

??: "What's your name? I can help look it up on there" he asked me. He clearly knows I still didn't see where my name is.

Nagisa: "my name is Kuroha Nagisa"

??: "Oh there it is. You're in class 1-C the same as me" he said to me. "Goodbye then" he said as he was about to walk away.

Nagisa: "umm, can I ask for your name?" I said reaching out to him.

??: "It's Shizuki Kenji, see you then"

*Flashback ends*

And after that occasion, he helps me with many more things without him realizing. He'll clean the class even though it's not his time to clean the classroom. He reads his books quietly while other students is talking loudly, being in his own world and not caring about the world. He will always pay attention in class but whenever it's history class he will make a frown face but still listen because he doesn't want to fail his class. I can still go on rambling about amazing things about him. I wish he will notice me and eventually fall for me. Shizuki Kenji kun, I promise you, even if the whole class hates you I will still be your friend.

Our school decide to spend a night at nearby resort for a night.

Nagisa: " *sigh* now we need to spend a night here." She said clearly complaining.

Kenji: "then would you rather spend a night in the bus?" I said raising my eye brow.

Nagisa: "of course not!! What I mean Is that I wish we are at our campsite now. But now it's delayed *sigh*"

Kenji: "well I can't control the weather Kuroha san. Let's get inside to see which room we're in.

And then we head inside to where our teachers are. The teachers told us that we will be sleeping in a group of six in each room. I got in a group with boys from my class and so does Nagisa but the difference is she got partner up with girls of course, what were you expecting?

After the teacher create a group for all of us here we go to eat dinner and after that we head to our room. Some of the people here went to the hot spring that this resort have. After unpacking the stuff that I need to use for a night here I head to the hot spring myself. When I arrive there aren't much people around. I just take a quick dip and after that I head to my room to sleep.

I am embarrassed to death right now. My friends won't stop teasing me because I finally had the courage to talk to Shizuki kun. I was happy because I was seated next to him but now I feel like it's better that I was seated somewhere else instead. Much to my surprised one of my friends snap a picture of me sleeping on is shoulder. Kuroha Nagisa, why are you so bold!!

Aya: "look at you lovebirds. Falling asleep on each other shoulder. Just confess to him already Nagisa chan!!" She said excitedly, she has been rooting for me since I confessed that I have a crush on Shizuki kun.

Nagisa: "But I can't just confess to him out of nowhere!"

Aya: "oh fine then, wait all you want. Someone else might confess to him first if you're being like this"

Nagisa: "there's no way someone other than me has a crush on Shizuki kun. It's not like he's popular or anything but I'm not saying he's not cool or anything! He will always be cool to me, everything he do is cool even if it is a simple thing"

Oh no, I just rambled about Shizuki kun. And not to mention in the worst situation possible. I can see them smirking already.

Aya: "don't be so confident Nagisa chan, aside from his personality his looks is not bad the girls even rank him at number 3 for the most handsome boys in our class. If he was a bit athletic and talks a lot even I myself might has a crush on him"

Aoi: "that's true Nagisa-san you can never be too confident. But confident is key, so don't give up yet!"

Hana: "enough teasing about Nagisa's love situation, if we don't get to the hot spring now it will get crowded with other students. So let's go, take your things everyone" after Hana chan said that all of us head to the hot spring.

On our way to the hot spring, I see Shizuki kun exit the boys section of the hot spring. I hope he doesn't notice me coming here.

Unfortunately he did.... He waved at me and I wave back at him. After that he go where he wants to go and I enter the hot spring with my friends. After we were done, we head back to our room, talks a bit and went to sleep afterwards.

After I exit the hot spring, I went to the vending machine to buy a bottle of water. When I arrive there I see Miku there all alone. Wait.... How is she here? She isn't on the bus on our way here nor did the teacher calls her name when they was giving us rooms. I'm not dreaming am I?

Out of curiosity to ask how she got here, I went to greet her.

Kenji: "Miku? Is that you?" I said reaching out to her.

Miku: "Kenji kun, I didn't realize you was there"

Kenji: "it's okay, how did you got here? I mean you're not on the bus."

Miku: "oh I come here with my father's driver. At first he was going to

send us to the campsite but the snow was too thick so it was hard for the car to move so he thought the best decision is to let us spend a night here and he come pick us up tomorrow morning.

Kenji: "I see, well you don't need your driver anymore"

Miku: "why?"

Kenji: "because our school bus is here"

Miku: "oh you're right"

Kenji: "it's getting late, I'm going to bed. Have a good night Miku"

Miku: "you too Kenji kun"

And with that I walk away from her and head to my room.

When I arrive most of them are not here yet. When i was just about to sleep I got a text from someone unknown.

??: "Shizuki kun, it's me Kuroha Nagisa."

Kenji: "I see, how did you get my number?"

Nagisa: "we exchange number on the bus remember?"

Kenji: "yeah I forgot sorry"

Nagisa: "no need to be sorry Shizuki kun! I just want to tell you good night! And sorry for bothering you if you were doing something earlier"

Kenji: "it's okay I was about to go to bed earlier. Good night and sweet dreams Kuroha san"

Nagisa: "you too!"

And with that I close my phone and went to Dreamland.
