《Complete // Stiles Stilinski [3]》21

I don't know who this Nathan Pierce guy is but he's having a party tonight and that's just what I need. I mean what could be better? Booze and blood. It's perfect.
So it was supposed to be at his house but now, for some odd reason, it's at Scott's. But I won't question. I got here early and compelled people that walk in.
Now I can dance freely and drink blood without anyone freaking out.
Some lacrosse player came up to me and wrapped his arm around my waist. I leaned in closer to him and danced with him. I then grabbed him by the face and pressed my lips against his, then trailed down to his neck and sunk my teeth in.
The compulsion was working because he let me do it and didn't even fight me off. I decided that it would be a buzz kill if I drank them dry so I just grabbed anyone that walked by.
With the alcohol in their blood system and the alcohol I was already drinking, I was very drunk. And it was amazing!
I was ripped off of someone and dragged into the kitchen by Liam.
"What are you doing?" He yelled at me over the music.
"Having fun," I laughed. I looked at Hayden and Mason who were standing behind him.
"You need to leave," he ordered.
"How can I do that when we're stuck behind Mountain Ash?" I smirked and his eyes widened.
"I can feel it Liam. You surrounded the whole house with it. Why?"
"The Ghost Riders could be coming for someone tonight. We're trying to keep them safe. And with you here means we aren't doing a very good job."
He grabbed onto my wrist and pulled me through the crowd and up the stairs.
"Ooh, Liam. Trying to get me somewhere private? I don't think Hayden will like that," I whispered into his ear.
He threw me into Scott's bedroom, then lined the doorway with Mountain Ash.
"Oh you gotta be kidding me!" I screamed and hit the invisible wall.
"You brought this on yourself," he said and walked away.
I hit the invisible wall and groaned loudly. I crossed my arms over my chest angrily and walked around Scott's room. I then went and layed back on his bed, staring at the ceiling.
The sound of thunder shook the house. I heard a small some people scream downstairs but then the music got turned up louder.
I heard a loud scream and someone ran pass Scott's room. Then I saw Hayden run by also.
"I saw him," the girl that scream said. I stood at the doorway but didn't see anyone else. All I heard was more thunder.
"He's right there! Don't you see him?"
"Liam, it's a Ghost Rider!" I heard Corey say.
"Where?" Liam asked.
"Right there! Headed for the kitchen!"
Well, there's nothing I can do. Liam trapped me in here so I can't help. Not that I would even care. I think I'll just take a long shower.
I stripped off my clothes and just threw them randomly on Scott's floor, then walked into his bathroom connected to his room.
I turned the water on hot and stepped in, washing away the dry blood on my face and neck. I stayed in the shower for about an hour. I could hear screaming and yelling downstairs but I didn't care. It sounded pretty funny to be if I'm being honest.
When I decided to get out, when the water started to become cold, I found Liam, Hayden, and Mason, Corey and Parrish, all standing in Scott's room.

"Hey, guys!" Hayden smacked her hands over Liam's eyes to shield my naked body from him. "What happened down there? It sounded crazy."
I watched Parrish look up at the ceiling to avoid looking at me. Corey and Mason obviously didn't care.
Hayden threw me a towel. I groaned but still wrapped it around my body.
"Why didn't you help us?" She asked me. "A Ghost Rider almost took Gwen."
I looked behind her and saw another girl standing there. I laughed and waved, "Oh hey! Didn't see you there."
"She couldn't help," Liam said to her.
"Yeah, he trapped me in here. But I most likely still wouldn't have helped even if wasn't," I laughed again.
"It's late. Don't you guys have a bed time?" I asked them and picked up my blood stained clothes from the floor.
"I should take Gwen home," said Hayden.
Soon everyone else began to leave until it was only be and Liam left.
"Scott's not gonna like that you trashed his house," I laughed and kicked an empty red-solo cup on the ground.
"Why are you still here?" Liam asked, anger in his voice.
I ignored his question and rummaged around through Scott's drawers, maybe I can find something clean to wear. "You think Scott will let me stay the night in his guest room?"
"Considering he hates you, probably not." Liam crossed his arms over his chest. "If you just turn it on I'm sure Scott would let you live here."
"If I turned it on I could just go back home. I'm not welcome there, at the moment. Lena would shoot me with a vervain dart if I walked through that door."
"Maybe I should take some notes." Liam and I turned around and saw Scott standing in the doorway.
"Hey, Scott," Liam said sheepishly looking at the mess that was around him.
Scott clenched his jaw and turned around, storming back downstairs angrily.
Liam followed behind him and I decided to go too.
"You said find a safe place," said Liam. "So we brought the party here."
Scott looked at his broken stair railing. "Who said to throw a party at all?"
"It was really fun," I piped up.
"At least we saved Gwen," Liam said with a smile.
Scott walked closer to him and said, "But you saw one of the Ghost Riders."
I let out a laugh, "Oh my gosh! You did?"
Liam nodded, "Corey made him visible so we could fight him."
"Yeah but isn't the tale that if you see the Wild Hunt you'll be taken too?" I walked up to him with a smirk. "You're screwed."
Liams eyes widened, "Everyone at the party saw him."
"Oh this keeps getting better and better," I leaned against the wall.
"Does that mean that... They're all gonna be taken?"
"I was mad at first but now I thank you that you trapped me in Scott's room. I never saw him. I'm safe. Hey can I stay here tonight?" I asked Scott.
Scott didn't answer he just turned his back to me. I watched his fist clench and his shoulders tense.
"Listen, I can easily compel myself a free hotel room if you don't want me here. But if you let me stay I'll get someone to fix everything that's broke, no charge."
I knew it would be hard to convince him since he hated me but I didn't want to stay at a hotel. They're too far from school... Not that I even care about school. I don't even know why I'm still in Beacon Hills. Something's just telling me that I shouldn't leave.

"Fine. But there are rules," Scott turned back around and laid down the law. "No more killing people; we can get you blood from the hospital. You help us when we ask for it. And you stay by my side at all times."
"Ugh," I groaned leaning my head back. "Fine but can I get my phone back? And my car? .... And can you get me some clean clothes." I was literally still standing in the towel.
"I'll have Lydia get some clothes for you. Your phone is in my room and you can't get your car back. I'll be driving you from now on."
"Oh my gosh, too many rules. I'm gonna go steal some of your clothes." I dropped my towel without caring if they saw me naked or not. I went to Scott's room and stole a T-Shirt and sweatpants. Then snooped around his room till I found my phone. Dead. Just great.

"When you meant I stay by your side at all times, you really meant at all times," I let out a huff and slammed at locker shut.
"Just trying to keep an eye on you," Scott replied.
"Well you don't have anything to worry about. I'll stay in line as long as you keep getting me blood bags. And if you try and cross me, say... Shoot me up with vervain and keep me in a cave behind Mountain Ash then, you'll have to deal with something worse than the Wild Hunt."
Scott stayed quiet as we walked into the library where we were supposed to meet with Lydia and Malia. Apparently Lydia had something to show us.
"It's a relic," Lydia said showing us the library card of some kid that was taken by Ghost Riders.
"What's a relic?" Malia asked.
"An object with a fixed association to the past. Jake's ID was left behind after he was taken. And Gwen found her sisters bracelet on her bedroom floor," Lydia explained.
"How can someone be erased, and still leave something behind?"
"A conservation of mass. A total mass of any isolated system remains constant." What Lydia said didn't sound like English but I think I understand.
"So, even the Ghost Riders have a weakness?" Scott asked, but it was more of a thought than a question.
Malia took the card from Lydia's hand. "A relic would be proof that Stiles existed."
My heart sped up at his name and I instantly felt a weakness in my body. Why does this person I don't even know, have this much affect on me? My humanity is off. I shouldn't feel anything.
"And maybe we can bring him back," Scott said, a grin forming on his face.
"Maybe we shouldn't bring him back. It seems like everything is okay and he's not hear," I said.
Scott sniffed in the air and his eyebrows twitched together in confusion. "You're scared."
"Am not," I crossed my arms over my chest.
"You feel something don't you?" Scott asked with a smirk. "This person is fixing you and we don't even know who he is."
"You're wrong. I don't feel anything," I began to back away from them. "Don't you get it? I don't care."
"If you don't care, why are you getting so defensive?" Lydia asked.
"And why were you so willing to help us? You can easily get anything you want, whenever you want but you ask to stay with me..." Scott paused as he thought. "Now I get it. You want to turn it on but you can't because you're afraid. Stiles is the key to triggering it back on."
My jaw tightened and my whole body stiffened. I didn't mean to say this but it came out, "I think I loved him."
The three of them were shocked to hear those words come from my mouth. I was shocked also. I don't know where that thought came from.
I turned around on my heel and ran. I had to get away from them.
***
"Where are you?" Scott asked through the phone.
"Just around town. Listen I don't like-"
"I don't care what's going on in your mind or how you feel at this moment. The Ghost Riders are coming tonight for everyone at the party-"
"Not me."
"Shut up and let me talk," he whined. "We need you on board to help. I need you to go to the game. I have a feeling some lacrosse players won't listen to us and try and go. Just be there, please."
"Whatever. I'll see." I hung up the phone and shoved it in my pocket.
I looked at the apartment building towering over me. If Lena still has the same schedule then she should be at work.
I rode the elevator up till I got to our floor. I made my way to the door and knocked. Just taking precautions. When no one answered I got the spare key from under the mat, stupid place to put it. I know.
I looked around at the place. Nothing has changed. I went to my room and found my stuff in boxes. I turned my humanity off around the time we moved in so I never unpacked anything.
I rummaged through some boxes. Most of them were clothes and decor. Then I found one that belonged to my mother. There was a smaller box inside. I lifted open the velvet lid looking at the beautiful necklace in front of me. My mother left it for me. I found it a long time ago I just never wore it.
I sighed and pulled it out, laying the empty box on the bare bed. I walked over to my vanity which was covered in bubble wrap so the mirror wouldn't break during the move. I pulled it off and threw it on the floor beside me.
I moved my hair out of the way as I clasped the necklace around me. I pulled the hair that was underneath the chain, then placed my hand on top of the pendent, staring at it in the mirror.
"It looks beautiful on you."
I didn't mean to scream but one just came out as I jumped around, looking for the source of the voice. What the actual hell?
Then of course, the train just happened to ride by. I know now that I'm crazy. It's not lack of blood. I'm just losing my mind.
I let out another yelp as my phone rang. My face twisted in confusion as I looked at the unknown number.
"Who the hell is this and how did you get my number?" I answered.
"Brianna, it's Stefan. We found her. We found Amelia. She can reverse the curse. You can become human again."
My heart stopped and my mouth became dry.
"W-What-- Who-? Look, I don't know who you are or what kind of sick game you're trying to play but I like the way I am. Don't call this number ever again."
***
"It's so freaking cold. I'm gonna freaking freeze my ti-" I stopped myself, looking at the child beside me that was staring at me.
I gave her a fake smile before rolling my eyes and walking toward the bench of lacrosse players.
I saw Scott, Liam and Corey in uniform and geared up to play. Which is confusing cause I thought they'd all be in the bunker.
"I thought I had the field tonight?" I asked Scott as I approached the three of them.
"Four people were missing, they're all playing. Best way to protect them if-"
"If you're playing the game. Got it," I nodded then threw my finger over my shoulder. "Can I go then? It's cold as balls."
"No, just sit in the stands and watch. Anything can happen tonight. Watch over Steinback, Wallace, and Okafur. Gwen too. They all saw the Rider," Scott informed me.
"And who's watching over Liam and Corey? They saw them too." Scott looked at the two boys. That thought just coming to his mind. "I'll watch them too. Go play, I'll be over here."
I stuck my hands in my jacket pocket and found an empty seat on the bleachers. I could be at a party right now and where am I? A stupid lacrosse game babysitting some people I don't even know.
The whistle blew and they began to play. I sighed and pulled out my phone, scrolling through random apps and playing a game till they all got boring, then I just went through my photos.
My eyebrows furrowed together as most of my photos were just of me and a lot of space beside me. I looked really happy in all of them which is weird because I can't remember the last time I was truly happy. One of them I was kissing the air which was really odd. No, that's not right. Someone should be there. Maybe Stiles?
Mason came and sat down beside me. He peered over my shoulder at my phone.
"Personal space," I groaned and scooted over.
"Sorry I couldn't help but notice, um... No offense but that's a weird picture." He was referring to the one of me kissing the air.
"I think Stiles is supposed to be there," I said.
"Whoa," he responded. "Maybe you really did love him."
"Who told you that?" I asked him.
"Scott mentioned-"
"Ugh, I'm gonna kill him. I never should have said that." I shot up off the bleachers.
"No!" Mason grabbed my arm. "It's a good thing you said that. If you and this Stiles person had some sort of connection, you could be the key to bringing him back."
I sighed and sat back down. "Bring him back from where? We don't even know where they go when they're taken."
I finally put my phone away and watched the game. Finstock was pissed that Liam, Corey and Scott kept pulling down their own team mates.
I watched two players leap in the air at each other. It was kinda funny how it looked because it reminded me of the Hellhound and The Beast painting on the wall of them attacking each other.
"Yes." Mason said quietly. "Yes. Yes." Each one got louder and his face got more excited.
"What? You looked like you just figured something out."
"Yes!" Mason jumped up out of his seat. Which wasn't the best time to do because the opposing team just scored and now everyone around us were glaring at him for cheering them on.
Thunder rumbled above us. Hmm, I was wondering when these fuckers would make their appearance.
"Come on," Mason grabbed my hand and pulled me away from the bleachers.
"Mason, I will break your hand," I growled at him.
He apologized and kept running till we found Hayden hanging around the concessions.
"What is it?" Hayden asked him.
"It's Parrish. He's the reason the Ghost Rider left the party," Mason panted.
"Parrish?"
"Call your sister," Mason told her. "Tell her we need to meet Parrish at the school right now."
"What about Gwen? What about the other players? We need to keep them safe," Hayden argued.
Mason turned around and looked at me with pleading eyes.
"Don't give me that look. That's literally the only reason I'm here for," I sassed.
"Parrish could keep everyone safe," Mason also said.
Hayden's eyes turned to fear as she looked behind her shoulder.
"They're here," she whispered. Then it started to rain and thunder more.
"Call your sister. Now." I ordered her then ran on the field toward Scott and Corey.
"Hey, Hollis! Off the field!" I heard Finstock yell and I flipped him off.
"They're here," Corey said to me.
"I know," I nodded.
"Liam!" Scott yelled.
I looked over and saw Gwen and Liam staring at nothing. But I'm gonna assume in their eyes, there's a guy on a horse right in front of them.
"I see 'em," Liam yelled back.
The ref whistled and waved his hands in the air, stopping the game. All the people in the bleachers began to boo.
"Oh, come on, ref! This is barely a thunderstorm!" Finstock yelled.
All the other players ran off the field. And people started to exit off the bleachers.
Liam and Gwen turned back and ran towards us.
"Scott, I don't know how much of a help I'm gonna be if I can't see them," I yelled loudly.
"We need you!" He yelled.
When Liam and Gwen finally approached us, Scott looked around.
"We've got all three, right?"
"Scott, there were four," Liam told him.
