Chapter dedicated to for making this amzing cover! Thanks so much
I watched as Stiles wrote Masked Killers on the board, then Tracy Stewart.
Malia, who was sitting beside me on his bed, got up and looked at the board. She picked up the eraser and erased Who is the Desert Wolf?
She put it down and looked at Stiles and I with a melancholy expression and announced,"I'm gonna go home."
"Your actual home?" I asked her.
"Yes. Your apartment is too small. Me and my dad are good now, too." She smiled at me before leaving.
"So explain these masked guys again. How many were there?" Stiles asked me while taking a seat beside me on his bed.
"There were three of them. From the looks of it, two men and a woman. Though it was hard to tell. They weren't like anything I've ever seen. Their masks looked like... machinery. And they sounded like machines also. It was so weird. And they're voices-"
"They talked?"
"One of them, yes. He said 'Her condition in terminal', referring to Tracy. His voice was scary and haunting." I shivered just thinking about it.
"What did it sound like?" He asked.
"Kind of static-y. Like listening through a radio. There was also a lot of clicking when they moved and when he talked. I just... It's hard to explain."
Stiles nodded and began to rub my back. "How about we call it a night and get some sleep, yeah?"
I ran my fingers through my hair and nodded. I got up and pulled my jeans off, folding them up and laying them on his desk chair.
I didn't even have to ask, Stiles already knew and handed me one of his T-shirts. I changed into his shirt and climbed into bed. He turned off the lights and climbed in beside me.
I didn't even know that I had fallen asleep until I shot straight up, covered in sweat and trembling.
"Hey, what's wrong?" Stiles moaned sleepily and sat up beside me.
"I-I had a nightmare. I'm fine, just go back to sleep."
"What was it about?" He yawned.
"I actually don't remember..." I sat there confused. I really don't remember.
"How long have they been going on? I thought they stopped," Stiles asked.
"They did. I haven't had one in months. J-just go back to sleep, I'm okay."
"Yeah?" He trailed his fingers up and down my back softly.
I nodded and layed back down with him. Stiles fell back asleep really fast because the second his head hit the pillow, snores were already coming from him.
***
So, while Stiles and I were asleep last night, Dr. Deaton and Scott figured out that Tracy was made. She wasn't bitten or born that way, she was created. That's how she got through the Mountain Ash because she wasn't supernatural. And Liam said he went out in the woods with Mason and Brett and they found multiple holes, human size holes, dug in the ground. They came up with the theory that who ever is making these creatures, buries them first like it's part of their transformation.
Stiles and I also tried to see Lydia. I tried earlier this morning then Stiles tried during his free period. Apparently since she's still in the ICU, only family is allowed.
"Did you get to see Lydia?" Scott asked while Stiles, Malia, and I approached him and Kira in the library.
"No, I tried using my free period but she's still in the ICU and no one outside family is allowed," Stiles replied.

Malia came up behind me and slammed a big book on the table in front of us. "We got one thing," she said.
The big book was the bestiary, which was kind of weird looking. Iv'e heard them talk about it many times but I've never actually seen it before.
"Anything in here about half-werewolves, half-kanimas?" Kira asked while flipping through the pages.
"The chimera," Scott said while leaning against the table.
"Uh, what?" I asked him.
"Chimera. It's a creature made of incongruous parts. And if Liam said he found two burial sites, that means Tracy's not the only one."
"Then who's the second chimera?" Kira asked aloud.
"And why would they bury them?" asked Stiles.
"Deaton thinks it's part of their process," Scott replied.
"The people in masks," Malia mumbled.
*hours later*
"Gosh, will you stop clicking your damn pen?" I yelled at Malia annoyed.
She rolled her eyes and poked and sleeping Stiles with her pen and said, "He's a heavy sleeper. How did he not wake up from your yelling?"
I leaned over to where my face was inches from his, then moved back down in my seat. "I think he's use to my yelling."
"Can you take me home? We've been here for hours," Malia whined.
"Sure. I'm getting kind of tired anyways." I moved one of the many books in front of me out of the way and picked up my homework that I was doing earlier.
I threw my back pack over my shoulder and leaned down close to Stiles.
"Stiles." I poked his cheek. He mumbled some incoherent words.
"Hey, Malia and I are leaving," I ran my fingers through his hair. "Wake up and go home. I'll be over later, okay?"
He mumbled something else so I shrugged and followed Malia down the stairs of the library. One of the men who was doing construction gave he a small waved so I waved back.
After I dropped Malia off my phone rang, Scott's name popping up on the screen.
"Hey, Scott. Everything okay?" I answered.
"Not really. Can you come down to the hospital? We need your help."
"Yeah, sure. Be there in about 15. Can you explain what's going on?"
"You'll just have to see for yourself," he replied then the line ended.
It took me less time to get there than I assumed. Melissa was waiting for me outside when I got there.
"What's the problem?" I asked while following her inside.
"A boy came in around 50 minutes ago. He was screaming bloody murder with all the pain he's been in. We gave him morphine for the pain but it didn't work. He didn't stop screaming till Scott took some of his pain," she explained. She rounded a corner and pushed open a door.
To reveal a young guy, looks to be just a few years younger than me, laying in bed with restraints and a huge bandage on his arm.
Scott and Kira both stood up when I walked in.
"What happened to him?"
Melissa went to his side and pulled off the bandage, "This."
My hand flew to my mouth and I gagged at the sight.
"Ew, cover it up please. What the hell is that?"
"Scorpion venom," said Scott.
"That has to be a big scorpion."
"That's not the worse part. Because a sting this bad means that he should have been dead 10 hours ago, and the scorpion that stung him would have to be 10 feet tall," Melissa explained.

"Lucas," the boy whispered. "It was Lucas."
"I have to heal him. That's why you needed me here right?" I whispered to Scott.
He nodded, "But now i'm thinking we should find Lucas."
"You think he's the other chimera?"
"Guess we should find out." Scott walked over to the boy's side. "Hey, Cory," Cory! That's his name. I knew he looked familiar. We go to school together. "What Lucas did to you, he's gonna do it to someone else, and it's gonna be much worse. We need to know what happened."
"I don't really know," He winced and sat up in the bed. "He's never been like that before."
"Like what?" I asked, my back now to him while I dug through some drawers.
"Aggressive. We were taking it slow, but it wasn't me. He was the shy one." I let an 'a-ha' as I found an empty syringe. Cory stopped talking as he looked at me.
"Sorry. Continue."
"We were hanging out today and it's like he was a different person," Cory continued.
I opened the package that had the syringe in it and pulled the protective cap off with my teeth, then stuck the needle in a vein under my arm. I spit the cap onto the counter while I withdrew my blood.
"Like, different how?" Scott asked.
When I pulled out the needle, my arm had already healed. I held it up to the light and flicked it. I don't know why, I've just seen it in movies.
"Like, super confident. We were just kissing and then I felt this sharp sting on my arm and... And then I looked up at him and I swear his eyes turned black."
"You mean totally black?" Kira asked in shock.
"The whole eye. But it was only for a second. And then he said sorry, that he'll see me at the club tonight and then he just left. And then a few minutes later, I'm in the worst pain of my life."
"Well, guess what buddy, I have the cure for that," I smiled eagerly and walked to his side.
"W-what's that?" He asked and tried to back away, but he couldn't really do anything cause he was retrained to the bed.
"It's a cure for scorpion venom. That thing on your arm should heal in about an hour. Then, in 24 hours, you can leave the hospital and you'll be fine." I moved the bandage back and gagged once again, but I closed my eyes and stuck the needle in, injecting my blood.
"Hold on," began Kira. "You said club. What club?"
Cory was staring at me for a while before he looked back up at Scott and Kira, "Every Friday night. Sinema."
***
"A kid turning into a half-scorpion, half-werewolf? Is there even a myth for that?" Kira asked.
"Sumerian," I replied while glancing up at the big neon lights that say Sinema. "I remember reading something about it in the Bestiary."
We walked up some small concrete steps to the back door. I twisted the handle but it was locked. So I broke the door.
When we stepped inside there was a loud alarm blaring from where we just broke in. Well, I broke in.
Kira pulled something off her belt and threw it at the alarm.
Scott laughed and shook his head while looking at her, "God, I love you." He turned around and ran through and opening.
"Did he just say-? Oh my gosh! Why didn't you tell me y'all were in that stage of your relationship," I jumped up and down excited and hit her arm.
"I didn't know we were," She gulped.
"Oh, this is the kiss thing all over again. He's so oblivious sometimes. Whatever, c'mon. We have to find Lucas," I grabbed her by the arm and pulled her along after Scott.
"You did it again," Kira rambled to Scott. "You did something that changed everything and you don't even realize you did it, but you did."
He stopped walking and turned around with a confused look, "I did?"
There was a roar in the distance that caught all of us off guard. Scott and I both looked around and tuned it but It was kind of hard with all the loud music and dancing people.
I decided to text Stiles and tell him what we were doing. I wouldn't want to worry him if I came in really late tonight.
Scott heard something I didn't and he ran off in a direction. Kira and I followed behind closely. We moved over these dangling beads and found the scene.
"You're a little late!" Liam yelled out, who had Lucas pinning him down.
Scott wasted no time to attack Lucas and pull him off. Kira pulled out her belt that turned into her sword.
I looked around and ran to Brett's side and helped him up since he was injured pretty badly. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Lucas charge for the both of us so in a split second I grabbed him by the throat and slammed him to the ground.
"What the hell is that thing?" Brett hissed as I placed my hands on his bloody wound.
Lucas got up and ran for me again but Kira jumped in front of him, blocking hit hits and punches with her sword.
He pushed Kira out of the way and Liam jumped up and slammed him to the ground by his chest. I notice his eyes turn back to normal as he stared up at Liam.
The next thing that happened I definitely did not expect. I watched in awe at the fire-y fox covering Kira ran towards Lucas. Kira jumped in the air while yelling something in Japanese and swung her sword down at Lucas.
Scott yelled her name and grabbed her arm before she did any damage. They stared at each other for a while before her eyes went back to normal and the fox disappeared.
"Is everyone okay?" Scott asked.
Mason walked over to Brett and I and leaned down by his side. I removed my hands and saw that he had already healed.
"We need to get him out of here. Liam, give me a hand," Scott said and leaned down to Lucas's body.
As they picked him put by his hands and feet, a metal arrow shot through his body and they dropped him to the ground in surprise.
We all watched the arrow pull out as it was connected to a string. We all followed it movement above to find the people in masks once again.
"Why did you do that?" Scott yelled up to them.
"His condition was terminal," the same guy replied that had killed Tracy.
"What does that mean?" Scott yelled up to them. They ignored his question and turned around, beginning to leave. "What does that mean?!"
They turned around again and said, "Failure."
Electricity sparked in front of them like a light bulb exploding, then they were gone.
We all came to conclusion that it would be best to get his body out of here quick. I said that we take him to the Animal Clinic but apparently Deaton left for a while so we resulted in taking him to the hospital to Scott's mom.
"I'm sure they'll come up with a reasonable explanation for the stingers in his arms. I guess it's better than trying to explain a tail," Melissa sighed.
"Better than the truth?" Scott asked quietly.
She shook her head and replied, "Maybe. This is the best we can do for now." She gripped the handle and pushed Lucas's body into the storage of the morgue and closed the door.
"I should have done better. I-I should've know this was going to happen. I should have been able to stop it," Scott said sadly as we walked towards the exit.
"You know, your grandfather used to have a saying about the word 'should'. You know what you're doing when you say 'should' too often? You're should-ing all over yourself."
Scott and I both laughed.
"Your grandfather sounds like a wise man," I said and laughed again.
Melissa and Scott started talking about some personal, family stuff so I let them talk privately and I left the morgue.
I made it through the hospital and to the parking lot where my car was. As I was about to drive off, I could see Scott running towards me, waving his hands and trying to get my attention.
I rolled down my window as he approached my car. I look at him with confusion and waited for him to say something.
"I doubted you," was all he said.
"About?"
"About the guys in masks. I doubted you and Malia. I didn't believe you and I want to apologize." He placed his forearms on the bottom of the window and leaned on it for support.
"Was Stiles doubtful?"
"He was questionable but he was more lenient."
I nodded and placed both hands on the wheel.
"You said 'I love you'," I looked at him and smiled.
"Excuse me?" He was very confused.
"You told Kira you love her. That's what she meant when said you changed things. It's the first kiss all over again," I shook my head and laughed. Scott's face was priceless which only made me laugh more.
"She loves you back. She didn't tell me, but I can see it in her eyes," I placed my hand on top of his.
"Oh gosh," he mumbled under his breath.
"Just, wait till she says something about it. Don't freak her out anymore than she already is."
He gave me a nervous laugh and ran his fingers through his hair. He then nodded and backed away from my car.
I rolled up my window and waved him goodbye before I started my car and pulled out of my parking space.
As I was heading towards Stiles's house I got a call on my cell phone. I pulled over to the side so I could get my phone out of my pocket.
"Hello?" I answered.
"Where are you?" Lena yawned through the phone. "It's almost 5am and I don't remember you coming home."
"Um, pack stuff. I'm actually on my way home right now," I lied about the last part.
"I'll wait up for you," she said and hung up.
I groaned and turned my car around in the opposite direction of Stiles's house. I scrolled through my contacts and looked for his name to call him. When it went to voicemail after a few rings I sent him a text explaining that I would be home tonight.
